Went here with my fiance a while back and service was amazing. The food was also great.

FANTASTIC FOOD!!!!!!! I'm sorry a fellow Yelper had a bad time here - we LOVED it!!!! Sunday menu is awesome. Had the poppy seed chicken casserole, okra, sweet potato casserole, jalapeño corn bread, cherry cream pie - WHEW!!!! Fat kid paradise!!!!! Can't wait to go back

When I first moved to Columbus, I lived doors down. I have loved this place from day one. Sadly, I've only been able to visit on Sunday's, which is still quite alright. I take my parents here every visit on their way out of town. I've taken my girlfriend once. Their hamburger steak is delicious. I've nerver had Poppyseed chicken until dining here. It's fantastic and rich. Their jalapeno corn muffins are delicious as well. Their sides though are where they shine. Their fried okra is some of the best I've ever hard, their mac and cheese is sinful. Their strawberry cake is some of the best I've ever had. I just love this place to death! If anything, I'm sad I haven't been able to dine on other days and that this is probably the only meat and three in town.

I really like cafe on main and I hate that previous reviewers didn't have a great experience. I usually eat here in Sunday's. I always get the poppyseed chicken+veggies. Literally so much food I have left overs for a meal or 2. The best thing that never fails is all the desserts that they have. The strawberry cake is sooooo good. Their staff is comprised of some younger people (most of them are my students-- I'm a high school teacher), which I think is absolutely fantastic. I love that they give them that opportunity. Usually it takes a minute to get the bill paid bc you have to pay at the register, but if you don't have 5 minutes (or less) to spare then maybe you just shouldn't go out to eat anyways? They also have a few tables outside that are covered-- they always let us bring our dog and eat our lunch out there. For Columbus-- id say the place is good. If you had a bad experience-- I recommend you try it again. Also some of the reviews from years back are from when they were under different management just FYI*

Them der greens were delicious, yo! Soul food that's good. You have to come a few times to work down the menu. The sweets are outta site and scrumptious. Lemon Ice Box cake is the show stopper.

Arrived at 1pm for lunch and they were already out of half the menu. Ordered what was available, and they ran out of more while I was waiting. They didn't bother to mention it until my partial order arrived at the table. Waitress seemed surprised I didn't want to try again. Bread included in price of meal was also unavailable. When I asked about it at counter while paying, owner said it was included in the price as if that justified not reducing price for something that was not offered. Not sure how this works for staying in business in the competitive restaurant environment. I consult with brands all over the country about customer service and building strong brands. Here's my free consultation - don't be so flip with your customers, or you won't have any. I've reviewed your reviews on several platforms, and I see this is a common theme. Your food is good, but this is no way to treat customers, and they won't put up with it. I b know I won't.

I asked if the table had been cleaned. The server said it hadn't dried yet. We moved things around because there was a clean end. The bits of food and paper never magically evaporated. The picture is the next table over. No one ever wiped it down while we were there. I post this because there were several "available," tables per signage, but they all were poorly cleaned. This would not have been acceptable before Covid.

Great desserts, so so average sunday meal. just go to kroger and pick up some canned goods.

I love this place! My bf and I go here regularly and they always have amazing food and service! I just wish they were open longer so I can go more!

Not bad. Clean, wait staff was great. Food was ok. Good place for a home cooked meal.
