"Crowded, for a good reason. We had no reservation, so we ate at the bar. It's a small bar, lots of activity, lots of hands in the bar, doing different things, it was like having great seats at a ballet that knew how to move around each other. We even got to talk to the bartender, mid cocktail shaking. Before I get too far, the cocktails were great. We weren't the only people eating at the bar. Single people in town on business, other tourists in groups of two, and us. Just finding the place was half the battle. It had been referred to us by people who frequented Beale Street. You go up this forbidden stairwell, use the secret handshake and your in. My wife's correcting me, there was no secret handshake, but it sure seemed like there should've been. Our spot at the bar was right next to the two-piece band that was entertaining. There was a guitarist and a piano player, and it positively impacted the ambience of the establishment. This review is being written a month after our visit, and I can't remember the specifics of what we ate. We shared a very tasty blue cheese, wedge salad, and a special Cajun shrimp dish.I was not feeling blue while eating at this restaurant, I'll be back."
"Nice locally owned and owned steakhouse with great service. I really enjoyed the ribeye with accompaniment of potatoes and broccoli. There's also a butcher where you can buy steaks to cook at home."

"Incredibly mediocre experience... host was not super friendly and the food was very bland and overall just not great. Ordered a pizza and Rueben, pizza didn't have a ton of flavour/poorly seasoned and was quite wet. The Rueben was better in the flavour department but had a lot of sauce and the bread was very soggy on the bottom. Food was definitely just okay, but shoutout to the waitress who was super friendly. While I can't speak for the beer, I probably wouldn't come back."
"Went on a Monday at 7pm with a party of four people. The service was excellent as well as the food. Everything was cooked perfectly to order and arrived promptly and in order. Our waitress was friendly and very helpful (my receipt notes Makenna as the cashier, so I assume that was our waitress). The atmosphere/feel of the restaurant was pleasant and relaxing. I also noticed the tables were being thoroughly cleaned after a table was cleared. This was our first visit and we will return."
"Had a taste for soul food & decided to try Perignon. I am a regular listener of the Thaddeus Matthews show on YouTube, & he always brags on their food. Food menu looks very good. All of the soul food staples including chicken & dressing, ribs, catfish, fried chicken, butter beans, greens, spaghetti, pork chops & more.Dinner menu is priced very well. Fried Chicken $8.99 , chicken dressing $10.99, ribs $13.99. Great assortment of appetizers, would like to try some on another visit,Maybe around lunch time. They are currently open Wednesday- Sunday noon through 7pm. Drink menu is overpriced. No prices on menu, market rate, so ask prior to ordering. Ciroc Obama $15, on the high end of what you would expect, so water for us. We ordered the chicken & dressing, mac & cheese, yams, cabbage, greens, and fried chicken. Food was BEYOND delicious. Dressing was excellent with a nice brown gravy and cranberry sauce. Cabbage had a nice buttery taste slightly steamed. Yams just right not to sugary. Turnip greens perfect . Hot water cornbread just the right taste of sweetness. Fried chicken was fresh and cooked to order. Macaroni cheese great. Ambiance is nice . There are several dining rooms & also a banquet room, which is very beautifully decorated. Laid back, good soft music, friendly waitress- gave good ordering advice, nice hostess . Plenty of parking. Quick to be seated. Signs posted noting there would be a wait, but the food time was average, no complaints here. Food was fresh and very delicious.I was in need of a place for home cooked southern food & I will definitely be a regular at this restaurant. Great jobs chefs, waitresses, & staff!"

No words to describe our experience. Well, maybe I can find some. Located above BB King's, you pass under a blue awning then up a set stairs at the side of the BBK's. Not labeled so seems sketchy, but it really is not. Kind of IYKYK. Have to shout out to Jocelyn. Our server was superb. On spot with every recommendation and made sure we had a great experience beyond just enjoyment of the food. Nice place, quiet enough for conversation but also with some live easy listening music which was welcomed. Dress ranged from under to over dressed. I would suggest look nice; slacks and a presentable shirt or sweater, maybe a jacket. Not pretentious but the ambience deserves a respectable clientele. Hand crafted cocktails were really good. Flavorful and not overpowering. Had the Beale Street Bourbon Punch and the Delta Queen and the Blue Window. BSBP was the best but all were excellent and refreshing. Lamb popsicles and crab stuffed shrimp apps. WOW. I have had lamb literally all over the world (Iceland, for example, where it is crazy good) and this was the best I have ever eaten. Perfectly cooked, moist, flavorful. The shrimp had excellent flavor also. Soup of the day was a shrimp and corn chowder that was super. Again, great taste. All of these are "must orders".Dinners were super also. 2 orders of the fish special, a blackened red snapper on a bed of grits with asparagus on the side. Best snapper EVER! Just the perfect mix of flavors in total and perfectly cooked. Braised short rib was rich but had excellent Merlot sauce flavor, 3 large pieces of meat pulled apart and was paired with excellent mashed potatoes. Jumbo shrimp and grits again excellent. Lots of places do a version of shrimp and grits, and no one has done it better for us. And we lived in Louisiana for 10 years. Too much food but we had to try desert. Had the peach cobbler and a brownie. Both really good. Brownie was topped with ice cream, had a warm and soft center and was our favorite. One of the best meals we have ever eaten. Great experience overall also. Book a reservation and enjoy the experience. Just do it. Guess I found my words.

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday at Folks Folly, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. Our group of around 10 ladies gathered at this charming establishment, and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with an inviting and old-school steakhouse ambiance. Our server for the evening, Ashley, deserves special recognition for her exceptional service. Ashley was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of amazing. Her warm and professional demeanor added an extra touch of hospitality to our celebration. The menu at Folks Folly offers a wonderful selection of dishes, reminiscent of a typical old-school steakhouse. We decided to start our meal with some appetizers / starters to whet our appetites. I chose the she-crab soup, and I must say, it was absolutely amazing. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, with the perfect amount of creaminess. It was undoubtedly one of the best she-crab soups I have ever had the pleasure of tasting in Memphis. As for my main course, I opted for the lamb chops accompanied by a side of spinach. The lamb chops were seasoned to perfection, and the cooking was exactly how I prefer them. Each bite was tender and full of flavor, making it a true delight for my taste buds. I was thoroughly satisfied with my choice, and it seems that everyone else at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. The overall atmosphere at Folks Folly was nothing short of amazing. The decor exuded a classic charm, transporting us to a bygone era. The dim lighting and cozy seating created a warm and intimate ambiance, perfect for celebrating special occasions. In conclusion, I highly recommend Folks Folly for any special occasion or simply for a memorable dining experience. The menu offers a variety of delectable options, and the she-crab soup and lamb chops were particularly outstanding. The exceptional service provided by our server, Ashley, further added to the overall enjoyment of our evening. Folks Folly is a delightful gem that should not be missed, and I look forward to returning in the future.

Firstly the wait was only 15 minutes on a Saturday night, it was packed! The lighting and staff made things feel very personal. So a pretty quick sit down, now on to drinks. Very good and strong. My steak was to die for. "BUTTER BABY!" was said at least 5 times. Everyone enjoyed their meal and it's a must return.

Food is good but they need more workers. I've been twice and both times the food was good but they only seem to have 2 workers, a cook and the other employee seems to be the server and hostess. She disappeared both times for about 15 minutes so new guest would come in and just stand there having to wait on her to come back up front. That alone makes me not want to come back. I tried curbside pickup but no one ever answer the phone to take my order. I'm trying to support Black Business but y'all make it hard. Prices are fair and food was hot and fresh. it tasted seasoned and not like it came out a can like Southern Hands that's located down the road

Sorry, didn't take any pictures but this is a nice spot to hear live music or comedy in Cordova. The seating setup is a lot better than some clubs in the area. Not all wannabe VIP sections. Can't comment on much because I didn't go to the bar or restrooms. What I do have to say is baby....them wings!!!! Get you some! I'm a wing connoisseur and the seasoned wings were cooked right!

Met up here to grab a beer or two with some friends from home. It seemed like a pretty fun place with an outdoor area/bar as well as indoor area/bar and upstairs balcony. Looked like the place to go for juniors/seniors at Ole Miss. Beer prices were also pretty good -- $2 for a miller. The one-star, however, is because of a shady business practice that apparently is quite common in Oxford these days. Whenever I pay with a card, every bar I have ever been to asks me whether I want to close the tab or leave it open. However, the bartender did not mention it, and I forgot about it as well. I really think if the customer doesn't tell you to close/open the tab, then the default should be to CLOSE it. I found out the next day that after only one $2 beer, they added a $10 tip for themselves. I would have tipped anyway (maybe not something so ridiculous for opening a single bottle of beer), but the fact that this is common practice as a way to swindle your customers out of more money is absolutely shameful. I would have called to complain, but $10 isn't worth it, and I didn't keep my receipt anyway. If you find yourself here, or at most other bars on the Square, do yourself a favor and pay with cash.

Absolutely wonderful!! Each time we have had the opportunity to dine at the Crescent Club, it has been an over the top experience! The atmosphere, the view from the top floor of the Crescent Center, the staff and the food all make for a perfect dining experience. Tonight we had: coconut shrimp, filet mignon, tilapia with artichokes and crab meat, chocolate molten bundt cake and chocolate pecan pie. I LOVE food! Wonderful food gives me a euphoric feeling and definitely gave me that feeling tonight. The Crescent Club is a private club but with membership gives access to restaurants and golf courses across the United States; as well as, a few overseas locations.

"Went here couple years ago. Didn't really enjoy old place and there management but now it's a lot better since they change the owner. With more security, better interior set up, of course a DJ too. It's a pretty good place to relax. The staff is really nice. The crowd who comes here, they're chill only want to chill not there to fight like the old place . I can't complain. The price is also pretty good. Hand down will come back."
"This is probably one of the best new bars on the Square in a long time. They have decent beer prices and a nice back patio. They have an upstairs but unfortunately no balcony (I hope they build a balcony as the Oxford Square has some amazing but small bar balcony space which is often in short supply). I've never eaten the food but it seems the menu has changed often over the course of this place's existence. The current menu looks decent but small and as it has been open for awhile and I'm the first review on Yelp that doesn't add my confidence level to try the food quite yet so this is just a review of the bar as I've experienced it so far."
"Dinner tonight was great. The chicken was so tender and delicious. The atmosphere and service was great as always."
"My husband took me here for my birthday on a Sunday evening and I'm not sure there's anything to say that needed improvement. Everything was fabulous! Our 10 year old son was with us and while the restaurant doesn't have a kids menu, they do offer simpler foods that are more kid friendly. Just ask your waiter. We can't review those foods because my son ended up ordering a flight. The location of the restaurant is good. It's not far from 2 parking garages. Although, I recommend the one on November 6th st. You also get to see the carriage rides go by. Our servers were very attentive. They made sure our drinks were filled. Our table was cleared when needed so there wasn't clutter. Since this was our first time, our waiter explained how it all worked with the flights. Letting us know of our options. He has a great personality! They all did a great job making our experience here even better. The place is lovely. It's warm and inviting. We were seated upstairs. Now, on to the food... OMG! I loved it all! I have tried to like lamb at many other places and just can't get past the taste, but Flights cooked it perfectly with flavor that just made it so good. Two other favorites of mine have to be the diver sea scallop and the elk tenderloin. The flavor in these were delicious and again, cooked perfectly that it was like butter that just melts in your mouth. Literally everything we ordered was amazing. Since it was my birthday, they honored me with a crème brûlée and that was the best crème brûlée I have ever had! My husband and son got a key lime pie and a banana foster bread pudding. Highly recommend both, but that bread pudding was something else! I mean, you can't go wrong here. Whatever you get, you will love. Guarantee it!"
