"Had lunch with a few friends mid week. The place was packed. It was hard to find parking because of all the work trucks in the parking lot. I guess this is where workers eat. It's very dated inside with wobbly chairs and dim lighting. You can smell the oil frying from back in the kitchen. Service was fast and very friendly. I ordered the Jagar Schnitzel with gravy. It came with German potato salad and sauerkraut coleslaw. The meat was breaded nicely and very thin. It really needed the gravy. The German potato salad was sweet and vinegary. No mayonnaise. The coleslaw was also sweet and tangy. It was a good experience overall."
"Absolutely awesome food. Great portions for lunch. Was not expecting this out of Clarksville. Service was quick and ambiance is peaceful. They have another restaurant down the street but this is the newer location."

"Came on a weekend for dinner and was seated immediately. My husband ordered the dolsot bibimbap and I ordered the galbi combo. Our total came out to around $50 with tip. The bibimbap was worth it and came with a side of tofu soup. My husband loved it. The galbi combo came with a larger tofu soup that I chose. The soup was delicious and piping hot. Super flavorful galbi but it only came with 5 pieces which was unfortunate for the price. Banchan was also yummy with lots of variety including kimchi, fish cakes, bean sprouts, seaweed and pickled cucumbers. I like that they have some other additional dishes you can order that isn't on the menu but written on the board closer to the register. I can't wait to come back to try their jjangmyeon!"
"3.5 - 4 stars I came here on a fluke. I wanted a Diet Coke and ended up ordering food to go. I had wanted to try the ethnic and different food Clarksville had to offer. This place was on my list.Friendly staff. I asked if I should try the squid or pork belly, the most exotic items on the menu. I love squid, so it is nice to see on a menu. She said the pork belly. I never ordered pork belly before. I noticed a lot of the food on the menu was Vietnamese or Korean. I was told the beef pho was great, so I might try that in the future.Thoughts about the pork belly:It came with steamed white rice, and it was spicy. The texture felt like soft bacon. It tasted good but not enough to order it a second time. I would try the red snapper or beef pho next. The seasoning seem similar to the Korean spicy dish of squid that I tried in a Korean restaurant. I am guessing the pork belly is a Korean dish. It is great to see a fish restaurant and market for the first time in Clarksville. I love fish a lot. I will definitely come back. I was told all the fish was deep fried. I wonder if they could steam and cook it instead. It was almost $20 for my meal and a drink. Pricing on the dishes seemed fair. The place is very clean, and the plants give it a nice charm."
"Please follow up on social media to find their daily location as this is a food truck, and I dont wanna steer you wrong. The chicken nachos were the best of everything we ordered n we only got 1 order. The nacho chips are made from fried wong tongs, aka crispy, light, texture with the toppings basically falling offThe fried eggrolls were yummy too, definitely would it again. Crisp cabbage, tender chicken n a spicy chili sauce Friendly and approachable customer service. Both the cook and the cashier explained the menu n were very nice about it. Each order had about a 10/12 minute waiting time n they text you when your order is ready. I will be returning n definitely recommend."
"We love this restaurant! We went around 7pm on a Wednesday, and were seated right away. The service is excellent and they are very attentive. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box and my husband got beef bulgogi bento box. When I say it's a bunch of food, trust me! There's sooooo much! Each box comes with your choice of 4 rolls, we both got the California roll, veggie and shrimp tempura, soup and salad, two crab cream cheese rolls, rice and your entree. All of the items were delicious! It was so much food, that we took all of our many entrees home. The leftovers were delicious too! The restaurant has plenty of parking, and a decent amount of tables. There is seating around the sushi bar too! We will be back!"
"Top notch service and the food was great! The best part it's reasonably priced for well portioned authentic dishes! Love the ambience and I can see why it's a local hit."
"My son loves this place because he is entertained by cooking his own food. The value is just ok for what you pay but it's a cool experience. Our server was super helpful and patient on our first visit and trying to figure out the menu. We will definitely go back and try again."
"Small place with limited seating but a pretty good menu. This 'mom and pop' place gets busy, especially during lunch so come with patience because they make meals fresh when ordered. I would recommend calling ahead and getting your order to go. Again, food is great, but takes time and limited seating."
"Food: Best Korean fried chicken I've ever had! I always have to get the fried chicken wings when I come visit. I know the chef personally went through all kinds of different trials and recipe tweaks to get it absolute perfection. The hamachi collar is one of the best I've had as well. One of the friends in our group said it was her favorite dish of the night besides the wings. The pad Kee mao is legit, so much flavor and we totally killed that dish. If you're into inventive creative dishes, try the kimchi fries, interesting way to make loaded fries. All the sushi rolls that we ordered were delicious, chef's kiss "mwah"! Service: Stop by the bar and say Hello to Michelle. She is the sweetest! I've talked to a couple regulars who love going here and I'm sure it's because of the friendly staff. Ambiance: I won't lie, the Kpop music videos distracted me like no other but it's so fun to watch! They all look like perfect dolls. It gives the place a fun vibe though."
"This is hands-down the best Korean food in Nashville. While the restaurant is unassuming (located in a strip mall, small space), the food is outstanding. Order the dolsot bibimbap, which is served in a sizzling hot stone bowl. I like to get the tofu version, but you can also get beef. As the rice continues to cook in the bowl, you get these nice crispy bits that are caramelized, crunchy, sweet, and spicy. The service is very efficient, and the food comes out quickly. This is one of my favorite spots in Nashville, and I love any excuse to go to Korea House."
"Soy Bistro has been on my radar for a while ... and I was finally able to stop in for lunch with a friend while I was in the Brentwood area. We got there right when they opened on a weekday, and there were already only a few tables left! It's clear this is a popular spot to grab a bite. Previous reviews that mention a small parking lot are correct - but if you time it right, you should be able to snag a spot. At the recommendation of one of the Soy Bistro team members, we started with an order of the edamame hummus and chips. This was a unique appetizer option, and one I probably wouldn't have ordered on my own. The hummus was bright and fresh, and the housemade chips were tasty, although the honey drizzle threw me off just a bit. For my entree, I went with the Gochujang Chicken, which also came highly recommended. This saucy, sweet, and spicy chicken was served on top of a mountain of perfectly cooked rice, and topped with a beautiful fried egg. The salad situation on the side wasn't my favorite - but everything else was delicious, and this is definitely something I'd order again. My friend went with the chicken fried rice, which was a huge portion, and she had enough leftovers to make a second meal. While the food was tasty, it's the service at Soy Bistro that is truly memorable. A few different members checked on our table several times, and you can tell that these are folks that love to get to know their regulars. I can't wait to return soon to try more of their fun Asian fusion menu."

With friendly staff and by far really good food my go to is the German Schnitzel plate. With a friendly atmosphere it's definitely worth the visit.

A staple Korean restaurant in Nashville. Having been to quite a few in the area (like Korea house), I can confidently say that So Gong Dong offers Tofu Soup that's in the running for being the best in the area.Beyond the tofu soup, the Banchan and Galbi were also great, though the Galbi could've had some improvements in quantity.

Hubs and I decided to have an early dinner at Little Saigon. Thankfully they are open for dine in and take out. Masks are required, sanitizer is provided, and the ladies there keep it spotless. I felt completely safe dining in.We ordered the cucumber kimchi, and beef fried dumplings to start. Hubs had spicy pork belly and I'm a sucker for the catfish there. If you like kimchi, go get you some! You won't regret it. Support these local people!!!

Trying Pok Cha's infamous egg rolls was truly a pleasure! Prior to my visit I saw pictures of the egg rolls but that didn't prepare me for how big the egg rolls really were. Lol You can definitely have these for dinner based off of the size of them! On my trip I got a smoked chicken and veggie egg roll! The smoked chicken gave me Memphis in May BBQ vibes but in an egg roll so I thoroughly enjoyed that! It was also filled with smoked chicken and had the perfect combination of crunch and flavor while still giving me egg roll vibes! I unfortunately didn't get a chance to taste the veggie one because when you go around people with food they ask to have some. Lol But I'll be back to try the veggie egg roll, some Korean hot chicken wings, and nachos! I took a picture of the menu so y'all can have an idea of what may be served on your visit.

The sweetest of the sweetest people work here. I am in town for a visit and I came here for dinner. I ordered the salmon tataki and agedashi and both were so good and hit the spot. My only regret was accidentally dropping my sake cup which made the entire restaurant gasp. It was empty and I rested it on top of the sake bottle and it fell off. Sad face on that. But happy face on the food, the service, the people, and the entire restaurant for being so sweet and accommodating.

Stumbled on this place while road tripping through the Carolinas/Tennessee. We elected to order from the menu instead of doing the all-you-can eat BBQ. My brother had the Bulgogi with rice and I have Bibimbap. Both were delicious. We also both had plum teas which was delicious as usual. Korean BBQ is a usually a reliable choice and Naru didn't disappoint. Fresh, delicious food that is healthy and leaves you feeling satisfied.

After visiting South Korea in 2018, I've been on a lookout for a local Korean BBQ joint that would match the service and quality that I experienced there. Yakiniku does not disappoint! My husband and I decided to visit as a celebratory dinner. The ambiance is amazing! They play a mix of kpop and recent hits, and they have uptake vents on all of their grills so the place isn't filled with smoke; that is a NICE touch. Our waiter dropped off some delicious banchan when he first greeted us and took our drink orders. We decided to order the 2nd all you can eat option and filled out the order cards they provide. The food is AMAZING! The sauces they provide are unique and tasty, the meat is good quality, and the veggies are SO fresh! It is such a fun experience to use the grill, and there is a sign up on every booth explaining how to cook what you ordered in case you need some tips. We both had a grand time cooking and eating, and we didn't feel rushed at all. At the end of the meal we were presented with a complimentary plate of fried Oreos to celebrate the occasion! I highly recommend Yakiniku if you're looking for a taste of Korea without the accompanying $2000+ plane tickets. You won't be disappointed! Pro tip: they do warn you before you order the AYCE menu that you will be charged for any uneaten portions past a certain amount. Don't let your eyes be bigger than your stomach! You can always order more.

"You can find Momo Korean BBQ at 1913 Fort Campbell Blvd, Clarksville, TN 37042 in what was a Mexican restaurant back when I lived locally back in the late 70's. There's plenty of parking along the side and rear of the building.Had a hankering for Korean so decided to visit Momo (which my mother called MooMoo - not sure if that's more accurate or if it was an inside joke) - three of us enjoyed the Galbi and a couple of Kimche Jigae (soup). The flavors brought back some memories - nothing was outrageous and was probably toned down a bit, but this style is very similar to my own mothers. The portions aren't as large as I remembered but it seems the pandemic has impacted everyone. The menu is fairly extensive - while we were seated two tables of Koreans came in and ordered - I think there are other options available nearby (I remember when you could get fed Korean at most of the nearby nightclubs on 41A) but you'll be hardpressed to be served homecooked Korean for Omas like you do here.Prices were very reasonable, especially compared to Atlanta - of course the outrageous sales tax jacks everything up. Our server came by a few times to make sure were were happy and to offer up water refills - in all a very satisfying experience."
"Stopped in while in Clarksville because my niece wanted Korean and happened to pass by. Walked in and small establishment with friendly greeters/waitress. Placed the order and proceeded to order the free appetizer for checking in on Yelp. The greeter/waitress said she'd need to speak to the owner since she was unaware of the special. He was out so I waited since I was waiting for my niece's food. When he came back, she said the owner was unaware of the Yelp check-in appetizer and they would not honor the coupon. I asked to speak to the owner. He came out and was friendly but said he never authorized a coupon deal on Yelp and it was a scam. Umm sir, it is not a "scam" but a coupon for checking in. I don't know how or why he's restaurant was included but he refused to honor it and said he'd call Yelp to have it removed. So the food... I did a to go order of jjam pong and asked for the noodles to be separated since I had an hour drive. They accommodated the request and provided an extra kimchi. (My niece loves kimchi)! When she ate her order she said the taste was just okay and the noodles were over cooked. She thought it may have tasted better if she was able to order in. So next time ... no noodles to go."
"This place is amazing, don't let the looks of the building fool you. The food is great, it's just as good as my friends moms food who is Korean herself and she said this was a great place. Maybe we were lucky but went today on a Friday at 6:30 and it wasn't busy at all and we had amazing service and the owner was very tentative. *side note, This place uses charcoal to cook over unlike other places that cook over a gas Grill. Charcoal gives way better flavor. Give this place a try if you want some great Korean bbq."
"The owner Yun Choo was amazing! He's a chef with years of experience and it showed in the food he served and cooked for us! This is a new restaurant and I think we will be coming back regularly. We got the pork shoulder and beef brisket bbq... so delicious. If you are in the Columbia area you should definitely give this place a try."
"Food is fresh the owner makes the sauce all fresh and homemade. Service the best!!!! Ambiance is like being at home well for me it's relaxing"
"Food was great. Service left a lot to be desired. I will try to come back and try dinner to see if things are better because food was so good."
"Is this the best wing/tender spot in Clarksville? I don't know. However, Fly Chicken Fly is making a solid run for it. I was in the beginning of what was guaranteed to be a long night when I realized I hadn't made plans for dinner. What's more, I hadn't even eaten anything since much earlier in the afternoon. My stomach was not happy with me. I looked around via Yelp and didn't care much for the usual offerings of Taco Bell, McDonald's, KFC, and Burger King. I didn't have time for the Huddle House. I needed something different. Enter Fly Chicken Fly. It needs to be said that this is not a place you frequent because you love the ambiance. I actually don't recommend eating in. Sanitation isn't a problem. There's simply not much space. There was an older gentleman that handled my order. He was most courteous and respectful over the phone and in person. I have no qualms about recommending this place and I will most certainly be returning in the very near future. I had a large order of "fries" (potato wedges) and spicy garlic strips. The fries were fresh and well seasoned. No issues here. The strips were very moist and sizable. I need to get more flavors on the menu before commenting on them. Chicken is offered in the form of wings, strips, drumsticks and even the whole bird! The prices appeared to be very fair to me. I left a decent tip but now that I've eaten the food, I feel like I should've left even more. I saw desserts and other offerings that were not on the menu. They appeared to be Korean dishes. I'll be trying those as well in time. I feel like this place has potential. It's right across the street from Gate 4, so one doesn't have to travel far at all just to get good food. I ordered mine en route and it was ready by the time I got there."
"Finally got a chance to stop by and worth it! Staff is fantastic and Corey was awesome - great service and recommendations! Meats were a good quality and plenty! We ordered Galibi and Bulgogi to grill! Haven't had cheese corn before but's it's delicious and steamed egg with Korean BBQ is always great! All banchans were great but not a fan of their pasta salad...really wish they had a potato salad instead. Salad and lettuce was great BUT if they had radish or rice wraps that would fantastic. Have only send 1 middle TN Korean BBQ place with radish or rice wrappers. Good beverage selection - wish places carried several Korean beer options versus just one. Loved that they have good ventilation and very clean. Would recommend putting something fun on the TV screen. Watching people eating on screen or cooking meat in a kitchen is not really fun to watch while you're eating - you'll understand when you see it. All in all a great experience! Great food, service and atmosphere."
"The food is really good here. The people are super great here. That's the four star experience. The setting is TERRIBLE. Little was done from the previous version of this establishment, which is very utilitarian and not a welcoming in-dining experience. The food is much better than fast food - it is WAY BETTER and great for sushi in the burbs - but the setting is low end fast food ie - wants you to take the food to go - detention room, over-lit and unappealing, and even fast food chains have upgraded to a better dining set up than this, and doesn't fit the food or do it justice. Little decor, no ambiance, uncomfortable booths. Fun music but the overbearing lighting really is something they should focus on that would make a huge difference here on if they could just change that. TThey had a ton of food delivery pick up going on, which the set up seems to be more tailored to serve, but they have a great beverage menu offering alcohol which would need diners to maintain. Why have an alcohol license if you just want to be a to-go kitchen? They are on the corner of a nice retail area with a traffic light for ease with the busy road. plenty of parking, and they have a patio, but they need to put some effort in their dining area, at least fix the lighting!!Menu is a good mix of options, yet uncomplicated, nor overdone. A lot of eel sauce on the rolls on the menu. Food tasted of quality, good portions, and for price, which is same as others in the area. They only had two ppl visibly present working, but I felt like service was attentive, though If they get more in-store they would be struggling. Again - very nice staff and good service, clean place, good sushi!"
"It was great! My SUNDUBU was amazing!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!!My friend's soup is good too."
"Delicious food and the customer service is so wonderful here. The ambience and the restaurant is so adorable. It's perfect for date night."
"Most delicious veggie pita and it's truly quick. We prefer to pick it up because when it's delivered it's too soggy. It's worth driving there though."
"This spot is worth the trip outside of the city. We ordered quite a few items to try a little bit of everything and loved it all! The fried chicken was our favorite. There were plenty of tables available to sit at on a Thursday afternoon. Do make sure to check the hours before planning your visit because they are only open Thursday-Saturday"
"Slightly off Main St but easy to find. Had the 6 piece chicken and chicken tacos. Everything was great. I just wish it had more "spicy" heat. Definitely will be back!"
"Great service, great food! The husband and I each enjoyed the schnitzel-myself as a sandwich and his with gravy. Where I'm from we call those tenderloin sandwiches, and it didn't disappoint. Breading was crispy and the flavor was on point. The husband's gravy was really good, too! My kiddo enjoyed the pork fried rice, and the bites I nabbed were delicious. The service was awesome, and they are prioritizing social distancing. I definitely recommend a stop. The front of the restaurant doesn't have a proper afixed sign; it just says "Reataurant." But there is a sign in the parking lot."
"This is a great new Korean restaurant in midtown. The food is incredible. I've been twice now, and loved it each time. The food is served with traditional banchan. My favorite dish was the perfectly cooked grilled fish. The service was super friendly. The menu is great, not overly long, making it easy to pick and not stressful. The ambiance inside is great. Plenty of seating, great lighting. Parking is a bit sticky, expect to pay for parking, unsure if they validate inside or not!"
"This is the only Korean place I have been to but most of my friends say it's the best. I have been multiple times with large groups and small groups but I never kept track of what I liked so I made sure to this time! They have grills at some of the tables so you can cook your own meat. I thought that sounded like a bad idea (because I was worried I would forget about it) but it turned out well and we had a lot of fun. My favorites ended up being the two types of Korean beef, Galbi and Bulgogi. The kimbop was my favorite appetizer. I didn't like the dumplings or the pancake but there wasn't a specific reason beyond personal taste. The beef tongue creeped me out even though it was flattened and you couldn't see the tase buds. The taste was also just too much for me so I didn't eat more than a bit. They also have private karaoke in the back with a nice variety of songs in a bunch of different languages. It costs a bit but the privacy is worth it. I have done it a few times for some birthday parties and stuff. You can also order food while you eat though all I remember us getting was the kimbop. Loved:- Bulgogi (Korean Beef)- Galbi (Korean beef) fav- Kimbop (Korean-style sushi)Like:- JobchaeOk:- Goonmandoo (Fried Dumplings)- Haemulpaj (pancake)- Honguh-JorimDisliked:- Hyusogeum-Gui (beef tongue)"
"If you dare to venture way down Nolensville Pike you'll be rewarded with this locals-favorite. The shopping center has all kinds of international markets and restaurants so we are excited to go back and try other places as well. The interior is cozy with a sushi bar and small tables. There were a lot of families here because it's casual and the portion sizes are good. They have a robust menu with Japanese and Korean entrees and sushi. I ordered the Jap Chae which is a Korean dish of glass noodles, sauteed peppers and beef. This comes with all the amazing Korean sides of kimchi and other accoutrements. My favorite was a spiced cold potato and I also devoured the cucumbers. The serving size is unreal--I had to get a to-go box and ate this for like 3 days after! My husband ordered the chicken katsu which was also a good portion and he didn't eat all of it too. The women who were working there were so kind and came over to check on us several times. We would come back here since everything was great."
"A year later and several consistently impressive visits, this spot never fails us. It's our fav date spot! The staff is so warm & helpful, the food is superior for the price point, and the ambiance is casual yet intimate! Still our #1 sushi spot!"
"Bonchon open in Memphis so try out this place... the closest bonchon before was in Smyrna, Nashville area,so this is great.. the same service and ambience so that is great to experience Korean Fried Chicken..also has Japchae and Tteokbokki to try"
"When I first considered moving to Nashville back in 2009, I stopped by Seoul Garden for lunch. I wasn't blown away but I did like it. You see, hole-in-the-wall Korean restaurants (for the most part) have dishes that taste the same no matter where you go (with slight variations of course). Being a Korean myself who has traveled a lot, I've been to probably dozen different ones over my lifetime and they are all the same. And that's one thing I appreciate because I don't always get to visit my parents. Consistency, when it comes to Korean food, is huge for me because I'm going there for comfort and reminiscing of my childhood/heritage.Whenever I'm on this side of town, I choose the Korean restaurant based on what I'm craving. This time around, me and my kids wanted galbi (Korean barbecued beef short ribs). I prefer it over bulgogi (which is similarly popular) because it's fattier and therefore juicier/more tender. My kids like it because they call it "halmoni's food" which is what my mother feeds them every time they visit. They associate visiting grandma with being fed delicious beef ribs and rice . And like me, they crave it. So with that said, if you want any of the grilled meat items, Seoul Garden (to me) is the better choice (by a slim margin) than the surrounding Korean restaurants (Tofu House, Hai Woon Dai, Midori, BBQ Korea).I ordered galbi, an extra bowl of rice (they charge $2 per bowl, which is absurd) and jjamppong, a Korean spicy seafood noodle soup. Banchan (which are Korean staple side dishes) are free. The galbi here is good. It could use more marinade time but the base flavors (soy sauce, garlic, sugar) of savory, smoky, & slightly sweet are present. The ribs were perfectly cooked, with a glossy fatty sheen and nice char. My kids gobbled it up faster than I could cut it, like little chicks. My son likes the pickled turnips and eggs as his sides. My daughter likes the bean sprouts and eggs as hers. For me, I ate all the assorted types of kimchi. The jjamppong is a special treat for me because it's one of the dishes my dad made for me growing up. It's a seafood broth based soup, flavored with Korean chili powder. Depending on who cooks it, the types and amounts of seafood you get varies. My dad added a ton of seafood but nobody has ever come close to his version. At Seoul Garden, you get oysters, mussels, squid, and shrimp combined with green onions, onions, and a variety of bell peppers. This is a hearty, robust soup that can be mild or very spicy (be sure to tell your server if you want it spicy). It's served in a very large bowl and is quite filling. Here are the bad parts of the review. First, the price for the any of the grilled meats are ridiculous. The galbi was $25 (plus $2 extra for a bowl of rice). That in essence made my meal cheaper than my kids' meal and they split the galbi! Let me give you a tip. If you want Korean food as good (if not better) than any of the Korean restaurants in Nashville, drive over to Clarksville/Fort Campbell west of Nashville. Because of the Army base, there is nice Korean population over there. It's like a mini-Koreatown. There are Korean BBQ places that are AYCE over there. Yes... ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT. Secondly, not sure what the deal is but the service here is SLOW. It took forever to order after being seated, even longer to get our drinks, we weren't checked upon at all until I flagged down another server for refills, and then it felt like eternity to actually get the check. It was so bad, I actually feel like my 3* rating is justified despite how much I enjoy their food. The servers have no sense of urgency either. Hopefully they'll get better, but like I said, it's been pretty bad for years now. Maybe it's the fact that they don't have enough servers on the floor."
"I went to Babo on a whim recently. It's definitely a small spot with limited parking. Going to the bar was the easiest way for me to get immediate service since there were a couple of spots open. My husband was hanging with a friend, so dining solo wasn't an issue for me.For dinner, I opted for the beef bulgogi, which was fantastic - flavorful and seasoned well - I just wanted more of it when I was done to take home. Sake was good. I decided on that after seeing their sake bomb being advertised. It is more reasonable to get a regular sake than the sake bomb. Do as you wish, but that's my suggestion. I appreciated being able to sit at the bar and chat with the bartender while I ate. She was nice and offered some suggestions on what to try on my next visit in. I also had the chance to talk to a co-owner of the restaurant, to my surprise. He was nice and told me how the concept of the place came about. The best part was that the restaurant wasn't too crowded. It still had enough people but did not feel too congested, especially since bar seating removed me from the main dining area. But what really stood out to me was the level of customer service I received. The bartender was attentive, and the co-owner was really cool. I had a nice low-key time at Babo Korean Bar. It's a great spot to go with friends or alone, have some great Korean food, and enjoy a calm and relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend the beef bulgogi, the sake, and the wonderful customer service!"
"If you like hot pot this is it for Memphis. However, I do recommend also doing the bbq. It's 100% times better than just hot pot. Service was done with a robot so that was new and interesting. The inside was pretty standard but a lot nicer than most other Asian hot pot places around town."
