Jay N. "This hotel is located on the Hwy 45 bypass and E. Mitchell St. We were going to arrive at this hotel a little after hours, so I called ahead. The gentleman that I spoke with was very happy to wait for us. We arrived about 15 minutes after the front desk had closed, but check in was quick and easy. The rooms were a nice surprise! The were big and very clean! A standard room come with a microwave and dorm size fridge. The flat screen televisions have a very expanded cable package and the rooms even have ceiling fans. The beds were new and comfortable and the showers are hot with great water pressure. They have a free breakfast which we didn't partake in. We never do. The hotel itself is small and is only 18 or 20 rooms. It is family owned and maintained. The owners and staff are helpful and friendly. There is a Walmart and a few restaurants within 2 miles. It would be a 4 star review if the free wifi had been as good the last 2 days as the rest of the stay. It had good speed and a strong signal. The last 2 days it was totally down. Overall I would stay there again. It is 300 feet from the local winery, so it books up fast during festivals.Bottom Line:Great StaffClean RoomsDecent PricesWifi Good then None"

Even though she had given her staff the holiday off, she was constantly there for us. She made breakfast for us every morning and made sure we were comfortable in our beautiful room. When our thermostat in our room wasn't working well, she had it replaced while we were out on the town! Now, that's service! Breakfast every morning was very filling and tasty and the dinner at the cafe on our last night there was outstanding. We had such a wonderful stay at Bonne Terre. We would definitely recommend to our friends and we would love to go back if we have the opportunity to be in that area again. Thank you, Emily, for such a great stay!"

Tim C. "TL;DR. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms aren't very clean though. Floors and bathroom are dirty. The beds were clean at least, or that's what we are telling ourselves. When staying here it was post COVID and it did seem the hotel was short staffed. We arrived around 4:30 and our room wasn't ready. We waited at least 30 minutes downstairs enjoying a couple of beers in their lobby. After an 8 hour drive, this wasn't a big deal, as we were happy to be out of the car. When we requested a third set of towels, they were enthusiastically delivered within 2 minutes. No one makes your bed, gives you fresh towels or empties your trash between days. Not a huge deal for us. They have Aveda shampoo, conditioner and bar soap. When the room was ready, it wasn't very clean. The floors especially seemed unattended to. The beds were made but the sheets didn't smell of bleach which I have grown to expect. The toilet was clean. The shower could have been cleaner by other hotel standards. Where the room fell really short was with the floors. A toe nail in the corner. Dried something on the floor and generally appeared to have been swept, vacuumed or mopped. We never go barefoot (or in socks) in a hotel so we lived with it for our short stay. Because of COVID, I am leaving 3 stars, otherwise it would be 2."

Sarah G. "Oh, Jackson, TN... you need some better hotels. We picked this hotel because we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express our last trip through and that hotel was NASTY. Well, Country Inn & Suites was *slightly* less nasty, thus 2 stars but 2 might be considered generous. Maybe I'd say it's 1.5 but rounded up? I love how these hotels head fake you. At first glance you're like "Oh, this isn't too bad." But it's too late... you've already paid and you're tired and you're stuck. Upon entering, the lobby looked amazing. Nice fireplace, nice couch. Wood look tile pillars. Alright! But walking down the hall, I started noticing the shoddy painted doors. Uh ohhh. Then we passed the "fitness room" with literally a treadmill and an elliptical. Then there's the elevator. The gold doors screamed "This hotel is old AF and they tried to fix me up." (Oh and the elevator took foreverrrrrrrrr.) Our room was on the second floor. The second floor is where all the yellow-tinged light bulbs are found. Walking down the hall to our room I mentioned to my husband my concerns with this hotel already.Once to our room, he let me go in first to take my Yelp photos... only, the light switch didn't work. I literally couldn't find any source of light. I had to use my phone flashlight to locate a lamp. Again, the initial thought was "Oh, this isn't too bad." But the phrase "lipstick on a pig" is more like it. The update was shoddy, sloppy and the room was just plain DIRTY. I don't know where to begin... shower grout was all moldy. (Like, how do they "clean" the shower and leave mold and say it's good to go?) Tile backsplash in bathroom had unknown substances on it and hair. Under bathroom vanity was dirty. Dying bugs in room. Toilet paper holder pulled out from wall. Carpet was dirty. I literally did not go barefoot on it. There wasn't a bathmat so I had to use a washcloth, yes, a 10"x10" square. Then each bed only had 2 pillows. So we had to grab a back pillow from the car so our kid had something to lay their head on. Roof leaks so there were moldy ceiling tiles in hallway near our room. Popcorn ceiling in room was very dirty along edge... how does a ceiling get dirty like that?!?In the morning, we went down for the free breakfast. Coffee was out... the only thing my husband and I would have had. Yay us. There were hot options: scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. There were a few breads, bagels, English muffins, assorted cereals (Cocoa Puffs, lucky charms, Honey Nut Cheerios and regular Cheerios), waffle makers, some granola bars, and some juices. Unfortunately, we don't let our kids eat sugar anymore so many of the options were out of the question. We made a couple bagels, one of our kids tried the eggs and actually said they were actually ok... and she's our picky eater. We paid $130 for the room. It served it's purpose but was totally not worth the price. We won't be staying here again. I'm kind of tired of these shitty hotels in Jackson, TN."

Jody W. "This Courtyard is just fine. I was staying for several nights and was hoping for an upgrade, but I was in one of the smaller, standard rooms. We had a lot of stuff with us due to being on the road for almost 2 weeks, so it was tight.Just like most Courtyards, the bed was comfortable enough but not as good as the higher-end Marriott properties. Bathroom was OK but the drain in the shower didn't work very well. The air conditioning cranked - which was important because the weather was disgustingly hot and humid. The hallways, however, are not air conditioned, so they have a bit of a dank feel. There's enough parking around the property - even during the nights that were very booked. One of the side entrances stopped working, though. We got back on the later side (maybe 10pm-ish) and couldn't get in due to the contraption not recognizing key cards. The cafe downstairs has the usual choices for breakfast and dinner - albeit expensive. An egg white omelette and a coffee or two will cost about $20.The bright spot was the staff - anyone that I interacted with was great. But this place could use a little TLC overall."

Boy was I wrong. As I walked in through the lobby. The whole thing was nicely decorated. The bar looked like a proper bar, not the whole tired out hotel bar that we typically see. The seating area was totally posh as well. I don't necessarily like doing hotel bars and restaurants, but this place looks like you can impress a date even if you just stay in.The rooms are also super impressive. USB ports everywhere. At the hotel, we opted to make the most out of the experience by enjoying their complimentary hot breakfast, the comfy rooms, and we really loved how quiet the hallways were! We were really surprised considering there was a softball tournament team that was staying there while we were there. My family booked a few rooms, and we all stayed next to one another on the same floor. No one had any complaints about their rooms. We really appreciated the cleanliness and the comfy beds. John A. "Honestly, I don't know how this hotel stays in business, given that a sewer drain populated by rabid badgers would make for a more hospitable and professional environment.Let's start with the first red flag: when I called to make a reservation, the only information they collected was my name and the type of room I wanted. No credit card to guarantee my room, no contact information in case something went wrong, nothing. Is there even another hotel in the country that does business this way? When I finally arrived at the hotel, after nine hours on the road, it was about as shoddy-looking as the $40/night price tag suggested. There is only one entrance to the small parking lot, and it's both narrow and features a large brick column in the middle of the driveway. The "office" was about half the size of my college dorm room, and was decorated by several handmade signs warning against the possibility of refunds. The signs should have also warned against the effectively soundproof glass on the after-hours window, and against the hundreds of mosquitoes: inexplicably, a large bug-attracting light had been installed directly above the window, ensuring that would-be guests don't linger too long without bathing in bug spray.Check-in was reasonably straightfoward, though they had a bizarre method for generating and signing receipts, and apparently had never heard of computers or point-of-sale software. I had reserved a room with two double beds, since I was splitting the hotel costs with an acquaintance. Once I finally convinced the card reader on my room door to recognize my key, I discovered that I'd been assigned a king bed instead. Immediately, I went back to the office and informed them of the mistake, only to be told that they didn't have any double rooms available. Tell me again, what exactly was the point of my reservation?! I would have just left at that point, except the local Strawberry Festival had filled up every single hotel room for a 15-mile radius, so there was really no recourse.Aside from the mattress (which was decent), the room furnishings were decidedly sub-par: the TV and microwave were at least 20 years old, the mini-fridge wasn't much newer, the single tiny table was falling apart, and even the upholstered chair was ripped. And here's the kicker: the bathroom door had neither latch nor doorknob! I mean, I can understand cutting corners on things like towel quality (low), alarm clocks (absent), phones (Flinstonian), and coffee makers (yeah, in your dreams). It's a budget motel, after all. But in what world are doorknobs optional?Needless to say, I will not be returning, and I'm recommending that event organizers leave the Regal Inn Motel off their accommodations list if they value their guests' comfort and sanity. After two nights of noise, a thoroughly flooded parking lot, wildly varying temperatures, and stale air, I was ecstatic to get out of the city and back to my tiny apartment. At least it has doorknobs."

We didn't want to pay for a hotel room in Memphis on a weekend so checked with Hotels.com for someplace within an hour or so. We needed somewhere that would allow the pets and had room for us to park our moving truck. Hotels.com directed us to the Sunrise and we were on our way. It's a little bit far off I-40, but totally worth it. We wound our way through town and pulled in late, late -- around 1:00 in the morning or so. Despite the hour, the employee (owner?) came out to check us in with a smile. Super friendly man, you'd have thought it was a decent hour by the way he interacted with us. We made sure he was aware of our menagerie; he was totally fine with it, no pet fee charged. The building itself if the standard motel style with all the doors opening out to the parking lot. It looked like a cheap, dive-y kind of place that someone decided to make over and they did a great job on it. The room was small, sure, but cozy, clean, and pleasantly decorated. The bed was comfortable if a little wobbly due to the king mattress resting on two smaller box springs, all atop an even smaller platform. The soaps and shampoos are all imported from India; a nice touch that goes with the whole theme of the place.Very inexpensive, very clean and comfortable. Would totally stay here again."

Linden is basically located halfway between Nashville and Memphis. Keep in mind that it's quite a bit away from a major highway, so you'll be driving a bit to get around to places. We also went in the offseason during the winter, so that meant the town was pretty quiet. After a small hiccup at check-in, we went to our rooms. The rooms are decently clean with comfortable beds, but a little outdated. The room we stayed in had a large bathroom, which was stocked with some nice local soaps. "*6 month late post*Overall an all right, down the middle 3-3.5 star experience.Typically I check in the day before on the app and generally get access to my room around 1 p.m. I was able to check in and select my room, however, it wasnt ready upon arrival. I had arrived at 2 p.m. and my digital key wasn't ready. The front desk checked and my pre selected room wasn't ready. I was offered another room but decided to wait. I left and returned just after 3pm. I ended up waiting in the Lobby until just after 4 p.m. before getting my room. I was in the room maybe 10 min and the Front Desk called to confirm if everything was satisfactory. It was.I noticed that most of the time there was no one at the front desk, they had run out of bottle waters that they gave out to guests, perhaps it was just me but the lobby coffee tasted off - not good at all. I resorted to the nearby Starbucks. The self serve breakfasts seems to be subpar even for a continental style menu. The Fitness area was not stocked with towels but a few times I was able to get towels from the front desk. They seemed to have an issue with being understaffed. That said, whenever I did interact with some one they were all cordial, friendly and helpful. At check in, the did manage to have the "treat bags" ready for Hilton Honors members, which was nice.Perhaps, things were better on the adjoining hotel's side, however, I didn't spend any time over there so I don't know. There is on-site laundry available in both hotels. The location seems pretty good. It's not far from the highway, shopping, grocery stores (e.g. Whole Foods, Kroger), restaurants and gas stations. The area was fairly quiet during my time there. The amount of parking seemed reasonable - only a few Diamond Member spaces on the side that I frequented. I believe there was also a parking garage, however, I didn't use it so I don't know if it is free to use. I guess it wasn't bad. Whether I'd stay here again would depend on why I was in the area"

Often just before a hotel is refurbished or at least repaired, there's reviews about it not being clean. Nothing looks cleaner than a fresh coat of paint. Dingy and stained walls and damaged woodwork make a place look dirty and unkept. That's been taken care of with paint and fairly new furnishings. The hotel was busy for a Christmas Eve. We thought everyone but us were already where they were going. A large extended family appeared to have chosen this hotel as their Christmas meeting place. They were all gathered in a room downstairs. There was a problem with guests not returning luggage carts. That wouldn't have been so much of a problem if the sidewalk hadn't been iced over. We forgot our handicapped placard and had to park rather far from the door. I was afraid I'd fall and had to walk slow. Someone had left the cart right by the room we were checking in to. I don't know if the hotel management can do anything about that. They might be able to see where the carts are with cameras and video. I don't know."

Oddly, the shower was a box that was kind of in the middle of the room between the sink and the bed. I was staying by myself but if you're sharing a room, just know that you step right out of the shower into the room so hopefully you're not the shy type! The design was cool but I would have preferred a real desk with a work chair as opposed to the table and lounge chairs. There was decent space for hanging clothes as well as drawers to stash stuff. The conference space was nice as well. I loved the old industrial look of the conference space. I didn't use the gym but went to check it out and it had a decent amount of equipment, all in working order. There was an outdoor pool that would have been nice to use on those 90 degree days when I was there!Location is very close to all the nightlife on Beale Street. Just walk two blocks and you're there. The one thing (not the hotel's fault) was that Uber and Lyft tell drivers to drive up Front Street and then make a left/u-turn into the narrow driveway. Sometimes the traffic made that tricky."

On my first visit I stayed at The Peabody and have been there many times since, but just never got around to a review here. Let me tell you about The Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee. This historic luxury hotel, known as the "South's Grand Hotel," has been a fixture in downtown Memphis since its opening in 1869. The Peabody is famous for its elegance, charm, and rich history, as well as its unique tradition of the Peabody Ducks. The original Peabody Hotel was built by Robert Campbell Brinkley and named after his friend, George Peabody, for his contributions to the South. The hotel quickly became a success, attracting numerous notable guests, including Presidents Andrew Johnson and William McKinley. Over the years, The Peabody underwent several redesigns and enhancements, maintaining its historical essence while adapting to modern luxuries. But my favorite thing here are the ducks!! Twice every day, a smiling audience gathers at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee to see six local celebrities: the Peabody Ducks and the head duckmaster. Indeed, one of the most iconic features of The Peabody is the daily March of the Peabody Ducks. Since 1933, ducks have been trained to march through the hotel lobby and swim in the ornate fountain, a tradition that continues to delight guests and visitors today. The Peabody Ducks live in the "Duck Palace" on the hotel roof and are led by the head Duckmaster, currently Kenon Walker. Each duck serves a 3-month term. Two weeks before their tenure ends, a local farm the Peabody has worked with since 1981 delivers six new rookies to train how to march, use an elevator, andswim in a fountain. Six, so there is a backup duck, because chances are that one of the ducks won't take to the whole march-in-front-of-lots-of-people thing. But while the faces may change, you can be sure that every day, ducks will march proudly in and out of the lobby of the Peabody Hotel. The Peabody offers a variety of elegant guest rooms and suites, ranging from sophisticated options in The Loft at The Peabody to the two-story Romeo and Juliet suites with a unique spiral staircase. The hotel features numerous amenities, including fine dining options, a spa, a fitness center, and over 80,000 square feet of meeting and event space.Bottom line: The Peabody Hotel is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Memphis, whether for business or leisure. Its rich history, luxurious accommodations, and commitment to providing exceptional service make it a standout choice for those seeking an unforgettable experience in the heart of the city. You can find more information about The Peabody Memphis, including its hours of operation, website, and Facebook page, using the following links:Website: [https://www.peabodymemphis.com/](https://www.peabodymemphis.com/)Facebook: [https://www.facebook.com/PeabodyMemphis/](https://www.facebook.com/PeabodyMemphis/)"

There is live Elvis music at the bar nightly, they have a free peanut butter jelly sandwich bar with chocolate milk every night at 9pm for snacks (loved this), there is a movie theater that shows a free Elvis movie every night from 7-9pm, etc. Staff were nice and all requests were handled quickly - like extra pillows, towels and blankets as well as an additional luggage rack for the room. Check-in was super easy and self parking is only $10. Our room was ready when we arrived at around 6pm and the beds were comfy! I liked that they have easy charging by the beds and plenty of options on TV to partake in Elvis live concert viewings (some I had never even seen) and some premium channels. The TVs and remote are updated so you can easily log into your apps and watch streaming as well. Showers were VERY nice. Rain head shower. A+We had a small issue in one of the dining rooms while here and when my husband spoke to the manger, she was stellar. She sent us a bottle of wine and two free breakfast vouchers for the buffet. All the staff were excellent and it's directly across the street from Graceland so it can't be beat for location if that is what you came to see. Their conference area is very nice and we were super impressed with the large and comfy movie theater. It was cold so the pool was closed - but that looks nice as well. The gift shop is small but nice and you can buy your Graceland tickets here and take a free shuttle across the street that runs every 30 minutes."

Ilene H. "Wonderful experience.Came here for a quick mini-vacation with a friend. The hospitality here is nothing short of amazing. Clean and spacious room. Easy access parking that is free. We liked that it was set back from the main road so our stay was quiet. We did order pizza and salad from the restaurant and it was really good. Highly recommend this place."

Mike N. "Collierville, TN. This place is pretty much like their Element chain of hotels. Same design, same layout, but not quite up to the Element. The lack of that fancy latte machine was my first clue. The room though was nice and I slept well on a good mattress and a reasonably good pillow. It is quiet here too , once you're inside. The shower was roomy with instant hot water. The breakfast options are at the bottom of the barrel here, nothing like the somewhat of a cornucopia available at the Element. Some things just looked nasty, like the packaged Jimmy Dean sausage burgers (Two Inch Diameter!)"

Clarence J. "The people here are spectacular. Everyone we talked to was wonderfully warm, friendly, fun, and helpful. (I don't usually start hotel reviews with comments about the people, but they really were excellent!)This is a beautiful industrial-modern hotel. (At least "industrial-modern" is how my brain saw it.) It's clean and cool throughout the building, with fun details like the room numbers projected onto the wall by light through a metal stencil. (The room numbers are in at least a couple of locations and styles for ease of use.) We chose a "large studio" room for a few-day stay and found it to be _huge_ for two of us. The rooms have comfortable, straightforward furniture - bed, bedside tables, desk, desk chair, reading chairs - and plenty of open floor. Speaking of the floor, it's a wonderfully cool concrete floor, with a colorful rug under the bed. The exposed brick and painted ceiling with a few exposed pipes - perfectly quiet - complete the industrial look. There's a small open closet area, and there are also hooks on the entryway wall. In a fun, practical addition, three farmhouse doors in and around the bathroom allow for varying levels of privacy and natural light. The giant window that stretched across most of our room overlooked Main St. and gave us a pretty view of the surrounding area and the Memphis skyline. The location is very good. It seemed to be in an old area of 'downtown,' which seemed to be undergoing a broad renovation, along the industrial-modern theme. The hotel is located about a block from the poignant and fascinating National Civil Rights Museum, with numerous restaurants nearby. The hotel's two restaurants are very good: Hustle & Dough coffee shop (outstanding coffee - especially the Costa Rican blend - and plenty of wonderful pastries) and Longshot shuffleboard/shufflepuck restaurant/pub (family friendly). (There's also Bar Hustle in the lobby in the evenings, which has a great reputation, but it was closed before 9:30pm on a Wednesday evening when we thought it closed at 10, so we missed out. They did have excellent liquor on display though.) The lobby area is bright from large windows and full of assorted plush seating options. When the trolley's running, there's a stop immediately in front of the hotel. I chose to use the convenient valet parking as I didn't plan to use my car for several days, but there also seemed to be plentiful metered street parking. (I don't know about the times or prices of the latter though.)I look forward to staying here again!"
