"Somehow I've missed this place for years. Was having my phone fixed next door and walked down while waiting. The place is smaller but well stocked and super clean. Smells great inside as they have a small kitchen in the back and make lunches. The ladies working spoke no English so we all had a good time as I tried to order with my super limited Spanish. They were very friendly and let me try several different meats before I decided to try some chicken and beef dishes. The food was very good and I will absolutely be back to try other items. I tried a beef in chili sauce that lit my ass up big time. They had a good laugh as my eyes watered and the sweat rolled down my forehead. I couldn't hide it at all! It was good but super freaking hot! I went in today and picked up some seasoned beef ribs to throw on the grill. They were very good. The chorizo they make in house was delicious also. It was not greasy at all and went great with some scrambled eggs for brunch. Going to try and make tamales tonight which I'm sure will be a disaster. Everyone working in his place is super friendly and very helpful and I will be going back often now that I've found it!"
"If you are looking for authentic Mexican meat market you have found the right place. I recently moved to MS and am so happy we found this place. They serve the best menudo & carnitas on Sundays ( it's so good go early because they run out of menudo fast). The salsas and pico are on point. They sell piñatas an all the Mexican goodies. They are very clean and have great customer service."
"Full shelves and the staff was eager to help. Lots of fresh fruit and meat. The store was clean."
"Parked in the handicapped spot at 8:20 pm. I can barely walk with a cane. They close at 9. I went to the door and it was locked. The cashier saw me struggling but still motioned for me to walk all the way to the other side door seeing that I could not. I motioned I could not and he just shrugged his shoulders at me. This is how Food Giant cares about the elderly and disabled people. Shame on you!!! Thank goodness I can take my business elsewhere from now on."
"It's clean and the people are friendly. It's a good local market with reasonable prices."
"Now known as Gabes Market...Great biscuits! A variety of breakfast foods like eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, chicken. Lunch items change daily. The ribs are served on Thursdays and Saturdays...they are tender smokey and very tasty! The ladies there are very nice and the owner, Gabe is friendly also. A great place to grab breakfast and lunch on the go."
"The layout of this store was done well but you can tell that the store has been well used. I can't say anything bad about it but there was nothing that dazzled me either. I mean it's a grocery store. Would I go there? Absolutely if I needed to. It served its purpose."
"It is not often that I go to Superflo. However, I recently discovered that they have one of the best produce selections that I have come across in a while and it super affordable. This is a place that I definitely grab and go and try to make the visits less frequent as possible. The parking and the service could use some work. But. hey if you go in, grab your product and come right out you should be fine."
"Had a patty melt and salad. It was great. Picked up a 12'er to take back to the house; it was very convenient."
"Someone told me to try this location and I was not disappointed.I came on a Sunday and all the cash registers were fully staffed and the bag boys carry your groceries to the car. Decent prices and good produce."
"This is a Latino supermarket -- it's pretty big, about the size of your basic supermarket. It has the usual produce -- I spotted Dole Pineapples for $2.99 -- as well as meats -- I spotted some pretty tasty-looking seasoned hot wings ready for the grill, seafood, cleaning supplies, and Mexican cheeses.I spotted most items for less than what you'd pay at a major grocery store -- one of my favorite cereals was a buck less -- bonus!Oh, yes, and for you pork rind fans, it's a staple -- you'll find a good selection of chicharones."
"This place is one of the oldest Asian markets in this town, and it certainly smells that way... Haha! That said, there is no better place to get fresh char sui (Chinese BBQ), char sui pork buns, and roast pork in this town. They also have the very best roasted duck from a grocery store too. So CHEAP but fabulously tasting!!! This place used to be one of the best dim sum restaurants, so they definitely know what they're doing. The owner got tired of running a restaurant and downgraded to just the market and sold half of what used to be the restaurant to what you now know as Ryu. Speaking of which, I've been spotting the owner of Noodle Bistro Bartlett here getting boxes of duck and char sui. They also have the best Chinese/Taiwanese ramen noodle/vermicelli selection than other stores. You can shop for seafood here and get it prepared in the kitchen on the cheap! For example, instead of order Cantonese Lobster at Asian Palace or something, you can call them here; they'll make it for you; and they will tell you when you should pick up. And they'll charge you perhaps $1 in addition per lobster, if it's even a dollar. They do have affordable fresh Asian produce, but it's a rather small selection. And I would avoid getting meats here, just not that fresh looking."

If you're headed to Green Turtle or Lighthouse Landing resorts, then you don't have to worry about bringing every single grocery item for the fridge. You'll find a reasonably good selection at the Village Market. We were pleased to find a cooler of seafood, so started our mini vacation with shrimp and sides. Thanks, Village Market, for making the first night's meal easy.

Deli has the best chicken, when they want to sell it to you. Unfortunately "customer service" is not something this location teaches. If you don't want to be a burden on the employees, shop elsewhere.

This place is an alright place to shop. They dont have a huge selection and its not unheard of for an item to be out of stock if there is none on the shelf. This is a small family owned store. Adults work by morning and by mid afternoon until close its mostly kids. They hire a lot of kids from the neighborhood. They have the immidiate area on lock down since this is the only store in the immediate area. Price are average to slightly higher. I only use this store for convienence purposes only. I should know, I worked here for 3 years.

I was reminded why I haven't been to this place in so long. Store has an unpleasant odor as soon as you enter. Product selection is very shady. I'm not a fan of a lot of generic brands. Haven't had many generic brands that were quality. This place is filled with generics.

"Great little grocery store with a surprisingly good selection. Great meat/poultry dept. Enjoy the bags of frozen yeast rolls."
"This market is actually named Janta, but it comes up as Spice Market of India on your maps app. This is the best Indian market I have found in the delta area! They have such a wide range of products, including spices, frozen foods, Indian snacks, and produce. They have fresh sugarcane juice and samosas for sale, if you want a snack while you shop. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, so don't be afraid to ask questions. I recommend coming here if you need ingredients to cook true Indian food!"
"OMG, I generally don't write negative reviews but my experience here was abysmal.Found it dirty, fruits/veggies in a disarray, long line during lunch time and only one cashier and on top of that a roach had the nerve to pass in front of me. Will not be back. I miss the Piggly Wiggly this place used to be; it was a little better."
"Just moved to the area from Chicago and this is the ONLY organic fresh market I've located in about a 30 mile radius. So glad I found it. Fresh deli sandwiches and other homemade items. Natural meats and lots of products that you can find anywhere nearby.I'd say it's a mini trader joes/ whole foods"
"Very quick and easy little grocery in the Highpoint Terrace neighborhood. Friendly staff, no lines, easy in and out and there's always parking up front. I love this little old fashioned grocery."
"What an incredible find!!! Downtown Columbia has just recently landed the BEST Mexican eatery. I'm a native Southern California and have had my share of yummy Mexican food. Mi Lindo Michoacana can challenge any of the best SoCal Mexican restaurants!First ... they make HOMEMADE corn tortillas!!! Each meal is platted on original adobe plates. My husband had birria tacos (tender shredded beef sprinkled with magic ), with consume (non-spicy beef broth and some fairy dust ). I had a sope (corn cake with beans, cheese, Mexican cream, lettuce, onions, and cilantro) and a mulita (2 corn tortillas stuffed with cheese, onions, and cilantro). With two different salsas to pick from, green tomatillo and avocado jalapeño. We enjoyed the fresh cucumber lemonade and seriously, OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! The servers were friendly and attentive. The music invited some swimming. The menú caters to either English or Spanish speaking patrones. We loved this place and are looking forward to COMING BACK!!!"
"I love exploring the various ethnic markets that Memphis has to offer. And Asiana Market doesn't fail to be a treasure trove of Asian cooking and cultural delights. And, this is the place to go, as you'll pay way less than you would in a normal U.S. market, as it's not considered a specialty store. Bonus. It's in a strip mall, and the store isn't huge, but they fit a lot in. I was literally like a kid in a candy store, poring over their candy section when you first walk in -- all sorts of colorful items, blueberry lozenges, Lotte Ginger gum (I picked up a pack for 79 cents), vitamin C drops, jelly candies, and more.If you love Korean BBQ, you're in luck, they have an excellent selection of Korean BBQ sauces, as well as the popular Thai hot sauce, sriracha. You can get a big, squeezable container for around four bucks. I asked the nice woman behind the counter if they had rice noodles, and indeed they do, a whole aisle's worth of various clear noodles, some made from rice, some from sweet potato starch (I picked up a big package of that, otherwise known as 'Korean vermicelli' for only $1.99), and some from green bean, pea, and corn starch. Perfect for you folks with food allergies, and those who love Pho. Also spotted, was a big selection of dried beans, including mung, dried wasabi peas along with jars of wasabi. If you want to munch, there's a huge aisle of munchies, including trail mix, corn chips, and shrimp flavored crunchy snacks.I wandered to the coolers and spotted shredded, dried coddle fish and jellyfish, frozen sea squirts, and good, frozen fish of various varieties, all shipped from Asia. Everything looked to be of good quality. You can also find Korean soup starter, rice milk, water chestnuts, canned Enokitake mushrooms (the long, skinny white mushrooms), and huge bags of dried red pepper. If you're looking for Asian beauty items you'll find a small selection of cosmetics and hair dyes, as well as some videos, and cooking utensils."
"Corner store with hot plate lunches and cheap prices. Got a lunch plate for 5.99 with huge portions. Food taste is a solid B but portions is an A for the price. I will go back and try other items."
"I love coming here. I usually come here to look for specialty ingredients for all my crazy cultural cuisine such as Thai curry and such like that. I'm sad they didn't have Palm Sugar but hey it's still fun. Also many of the workers speak Spanish so it's a great place to practice. I do note that I had trouble finding stuff in the Asian section until someone took pity on me and helped me find what I needed. "I loved it. The food was good and hot. I love the family oriented business. It was pretty busy, but the food is so worth it. It is cooked hot and fresh and we all know those hole in the walls are the best of the best. No pics sorry guys. I ordered the cheeseburger combo and it came with a drink. It was under $8."
"Best and only grocery store in lobelville. They have everything you need to make your meals. Fresh meat counter and friendly employees."
"Best soul food in South Memphis and not expensive at all ($5.99 for a meat, 2 veggies and a cornbread muffin)"
"Stepherson's Superlo Foods is a local chain of grocery stores. The one on Macon is the first one in the chain, when it was started in 1950. It's most famous location is the one between Colonial, Southern, and Perkins next to Target. This store has everything you'd expect at a grocery store at cheap prices."
"We ate lunch here today! It's a grocery store and they make deli sandwiches with Boar's Head deli meats and cheeses. The food prices looked reasonable especially during the current inflation. As for the deli sandwiches, my friend and I halved two sandwiches... the Club, which was TOTALLY amazing and the "Crockpot" which we both agreed was too salty for our tastes. Overall, we loved the new store and we ordered sandwiches and sat out front on the patio to eat. It was pretty good. Just grab what you'd like and head to the self checkout and sit out front and enjoy! Very good grocery store selection too!"
"If it's not your grandmothers, it's Toarmina. This is seriously the best comfort/home-cooked meal that you can put in your mouth. You better get in there first, because you do not want to miss out. It's smack your Mama good. Except for I would never smack my Mama, she would knock me out."
"This is one of the better grocery stores located in the Marion / West Memphis area. The employees here have usually been helpful and friendly. This business' prices have been in l-line with the other competing grocery stores in eastern Arkansas.I especially like their produce department. This store is located right next to Interstate 55 (east side), so during certain times of the day, traffic here can get really congested."
"This Mexican grocery store has a large selection of meats. I recently dropped by to picked up some ground goat, which is relatively hard meat to find around Memphis. Bombay House gets its goat meat from here."
"Farmers market always has what you need for cooking meals and just making at home meals, they also have foods from other countries. And snacks as well. I absolutely love it. Glad this location also has a cafe inside. Pretty neat addition they added back a couple years ago. Very clean and neat location. Customer service is always good."
"When I tell you I love Cordelia's - I absolutely love Cordelia's. I am living temporarily in Memphis and this place has brought me a ton of sunshine during my stay here. The cafe is outstanding. My personal faves are the Valerie's or Chris' sandwiches. I mean DELICIOUS. Definitely choose the voodoo chips! I will miss those dearly when I leave the south. The classic breakfast sandwich is also up there in deliciousness. The customer service is always top notch and I'm happy to spend some money here. For the grocery section, my only complaint is that because it's a small grocery store the product turnover can be slow. Several times I've purchased items forgetting to check the expiration date and got home to realize things expired in a couple of days and before I'd really use them. I also purchased a pack of meat and when I was getting ready to cook it for dinner, I saw it was completely brown and rotten even though it was before the expiration date. I called in and they were apologetic and said I could bring the meat back but I live 20-25 minutes away and haven't been able to come back since. So I'm just out of that money unfortunately. Now keeping that in mind, this place is so well stocked for such a small grocery store! They have everything I'd ever need here (and more) and the prices are so reasonable. I love their chicken salads and definitely recommend giving those a try. The butcher meat is also super fresh. I got a couple of ribeyes from the butcher that were amongst the best I've ever had.All in all, please support this local business!"
"For starters, it smells amazing in there! Today was my first trip and I was very impressed by the cleanliness, organization, variety of foods plus the employees were kind and helpful, I opted for the seasoned taco meat, fresh verde salsa, house-made chips. The meat selection was AMAZING as were our nachos for dinner tonight. They also have a hot food bar and fresh produce. Highly recommend."
"Need happy? Got to Snappy! All things hilarious are included. You have to be in Memphis to find a rhythmic-type name for a basic A&P/booze shop. Here it is; in South Memphis. This lil' shoppe gets 4 stars for the name, for just existing, and for all the crazy activity that happened. It's a slice of the true Memphis-blue bayou. They sell chips, snacks, candy, soda, sandwiches, cigarettes and any and all things addictive. Somehow it also worked as a check-cashing op, rum-peddler and a rural ATM..This place was fun, alive, cheap.Rebel review: 4"
"We have been back here a number of times and the food is usually excellent and authentic. I don't like the tortas here but I like most of the tacos.I love these restaurant-store combos so I was excited when hubby wanted me to come here. They have all the normal options so I tried my usual. They also have a salsa bar so you can grab lots of different stuff. Much of it was too spicy even for me. I was excited to see pico with and without cactus.Their drinks are fantastic. I loved my horchata and it didn't have that chalky aftertaste that some places have. Their chicken has a special flavor to it that makes it delightful. I wasn't a big fan of the carnitas because I don't like the cueritos, which they usually add to the carnitas (even if you ask for it without them). To Try: Taco de pescadotaco de pollo rostizado Loved:- Drink: Horchata- Taco: Pollo Asado- Quesadilla: al Pastor (Joel likes)Liked:- Taco: Al Pastor- Taco: Camaron- Quesadilla: Pollo AsadoOk:- Churro: Fresa- Flautas- Taco: Carnitas- Taco: ChorizoDisliked:- Churro: Crema- Drink: Tamarindo- Flautas: Pollo- Sope: al Pastor- Torta: Chorizo- Torta: al Pastor"
"I really like this store. It's a lot more intimate than Walmart and they have a larger selection of fresh veggies. The fruit section is rather extensive for a small town grocery store. The prices are ok. A bit more than the store that was bought out by this store. Not as intimate as the store thats was here before. I definitely miss granny being back in the meat department. She always had new and fresh meat sliced how you wanted it. If she didn't she would do it for you right then. The customer service here is way above average. Each and every one of the people are very friendly and will help find anything you need. The store is clean and prices are displayed for you to see easily. Only thing is, make sure you remember sale prices because the cashiers don't know and they don't always ring up as advertised as displayed. That's the only reason it wasn't given all 5 stars. What's the point in having the sale if they don't follow through. Overall I would Recommend."
