Tom E. "Fratesi Brothers Grocery is a gas station/grocery/sandwich shop near the crossroads of Hwy 61 & Hwy 82 in the heart of the Mississippi Delta. The Fratesi Brothers are the sons of Italian immigrants who settled here to farm. Their breakfast and lunches are very popular with local farmers and others passing through. Be warned, you may have to share a table with someone but no worries as you are in the south and everyone is hospitable. Who knows you might make a new acquaintance. Most dishes are American with a little Italian and Louisiana Creole mixed in for flavor. You gotta try the turkey melt sandwich on ciabatta bread. I also like the Philly chicken poboy. Their burgers and plate lunches are popular as well."

Jeffery S. "Walked around MemphisTown for a good part of the day and then I had to drive to Jonesboro, Arkansas this fine hot Sunday. Temperatures were in the high nineties and I worked up a thirst that some friggin' slushee wasn't going to satisfy. When I arrived, I found out that Jonesboro is practically a dry town. On top of that, I found out that it is illegal to sell beer in Arkansas on Sunday.Well, F..k that S..T. I have a thirst for the hops and I'm gonna figure out how to get it, even if it means going back to Memphis. Looking at the map, I see Cardwell, Missouri is only twenty five miles away. I figure some some opportunistic entrepeneur will take adavantage of this and set up a money machine on the Missouri-Arkansas border.God Bless America! Right on the Missouri side of the bridge separating two states was a big old warehouse selling hootch. Mr T's Riverside Liquor store. The parking lot was crowded so there was a thirsty customer base there. Beer, Liquor and Junk Food, it's all there.Inside, there was people from all walks of life, from functional millionaire alcholics in three piece suits to raggity ass wino's. All bound together in harmony through the mutual need and love of alcohol. It was quite a treat watching people walking out the door clutching their precious packages of booze.I got my six pack of beer and went back to Jonesboro a happy camper. Arkansas blue laws, I spit on your grave."

The sign says: PAK-A-POK: Convenience at its best; Although this place has a rough looking building, cracked pavement, truck parking in the back... maybe eight trucks, if you can get in. They do have diesel and regular gas fuels. The Deli inside has some really good southern fried fish, Cajun sausages and other items. The ladies are the nicest people you will ever meet. Polite and always willing to say hello. Very clean, restrooms, although small. They have some unique wallpaper: Lucille Ball & James Dean pointing to the Men's restroom. A group of older men sit and drinking coffee, telling tales and talking to the locals mornings. And this place is a busy area in the morning and at lunch with the locals. A line at the deli usually. There is an old laundromat in the back in a separate building. A bit expensive, but the closest you will ever be to a laundromat, when parking s rig. The SAXON restaurant is just next door. They only have outdoor seating, some covered. Pleasant workers and they aim to please. They also will take call-in orders. No drive way though. We really enjoyed the place. It is small and great care needs to be taken entering and exiting the place."

There is a significant amount of foot traffic here. The prices are high, as is typical for this type of a business. They feature Hunt Brothers Pizza, which can be really delicious, if purchased when freshly made. The sanitation here is very iffy, so be forewarned. They also sell gasoline. Sometimes the pumps are leaking and get placed out-of-service, though. I definitely wouldn't recommend buying any fuel here, if only for personal safety."

The gas station is conveniently located, considering that there are no other fueling stops within about ten miles in any direction. I cannot speak to the quality of the food, though; as I almost never eat anything made inside of a gas station."

Due to high traffic volumes on State Highway 77, I would not recommend southbound traffic attempting to turn left onto this property. The car wash here stopped working many years ago, so don't be tempted to pay for one when prompted at the pumps. Sometimes the areas around the fuel dispensers can be dirty with thick mud, and poorly kept. The merchandise inside is expensive, and service can sometimes be very slow. There are certainly nicer alternatives in the area."

Benjamin B. "I keep getting disappointed by this gas station. QuickTrip consistently fails to maintain the equipment at the fuel dispensers. This makes it super inconvenient for me to be able to purchase gasoline quickly. For example, the keypad at fuel dispenser #5 would not accept any input, thereby preventing me from using my gasoline fleet card. Employees there seemed very unconcerned. I went elsewhere to purchase my fuel. There's no sense in economically rewarding a business that fails to maintain their facility. Because they have wasted my time several times, I shall not return."

This place also has been doing business under the name "Barcelona Mart".Prices are exceedingly high, and there are somewhat better convenience stores located further along U.S. Highway 64 in both directions.Least impressive was the filthy, overly warm, and stench-ridden men's restroom. They don't believe in running air conditioning in the restrooms during the warm parts of the year. One and a half stars, rounded down to one star, mainly due to the lack of sanitation and astoundingly foul odors."

Same service you get at any gas station. When someone helps you with what you need its called doing their job. If someone down right goes out of their way too make sure you have an excellent experience or runs full speed outside to give you some change you forgot THAT is "EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!! and I have never seen that here. This Shell Truck stop was better then bad, and could use some tender loving care, but was a nice surprise compared to some Shell Stations I have been in! The staff I dealt with was very nice and the store was fairly clean! If you need to stop for gas, or a Diet Coke this is an ok spot to do so. Another nice feature is a covered fueling area for RV vehicles and such.Prices are fairly high here. I was charged $3.00 for a candy bar. A few of the fuel dispensers were malfunctioning, and therefore closed to use. However, there were numerous other open pumps to use, as this place wasn't too terribly busy. Steven L. "It's a gas station/ convenient store. It's not in the best location either. I usually visit this convenient store when I go to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts which is just down the street. Why? I like to come here and buy a lottery ticket. If you buy a ticket, you might win. If you don't, you have no chance of winning. Now, that's the way I look at it. On Scene: I have stopped by here several times. Here is my story of this place. If I come here in my like new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, a bum comes up to me begging for money. However, if I come here in my old 2000 Buick Lesabre, no one comes up to me begging for money. It's kind a questionable as far as me feeling safe stopping here every time especially in my truck. If I visit here in my car I'm not worried about bums coming up to me. One time I stopped and somebody pulled beside me in their old car and told me a " sob story " about his wife being pregnant and had her with him in the passenger seat. At that time, I was in my truck.Anyway, customer service is a little below average here. They look like they are worried about what kind a customers are going to walk through the door. They never speak or smile either - ever.Their bathrooms need remodeling too. It's not ever clean and you can see stains on everything. The parking lot is always congested too. It's hard getting in and out of here as a result."

Barrett O. "I really adore this gas station! When I first drove through this town square in 1992 I was immediately drawn to this great little corner station that is straight out of a Mayberry calendar, that was 26 years ago and it hasn't changed one bit. It's my place for ethanol free gasoline for my rifling mower and formerly for a small best that I had. Boats classically don't tolerate ethanol because the alcohol eats up the llasyc based lives on s boats fuel system and their filters. Most riding mower manufacturers also recommend the no gas option for similar reasons and this is now the only place for many miles around to get it. This is a legit working gas station complete with air for your tires, water for your radiators andvthat's all free like it was forever. They've got oil and wiper fluid and all that stuff from your Grandpa's SERVICE STATION. That's what we called them because you got service, gas was pumped, windows washed, oil checked, air checked and then, if you go back far enough, got some S&H stamps as a thank you. (that's a really long time ago) They also proudly display the sign on the floor that there is a Notary Public in duty so you can fill up and get your documents notarized while you're here. How cool is that? Cool!!!!They have 2 pumps of standard 10% ethanol unleaded, plus they have one pump of low sulfur diesel, another standard diesel and one kerosene pump. This is one of the last of it's kind, a corner service station from the past, still getting it done on the town square and truckin' into the 20th century. Hope they never go away and that they are the ones to pump the last gallon of gas after everyone's switched to fission. They only have 2 water hoses and 2 vacuums. When I came, there were at least 20 cars here so 2 water hoses and vacuums are not nearly enough. They also wash the car with dawn dishwater detergent. The staff appears to be very young and it shows. They ran out of dishwater liquid and one of the workers came over and added water to make more soap studs. They bathroom has been out of order for over a year. They seem to not have quality products to clean cars. They are normally busy so I'm not sure why they seem to skip on buying enough equipment and quality products. However, the car wash is inexpensive especially for a hand-wash.The cashier was nice as well."
