We have been dining at Buzzard rock regularly for over a decade and we always looked forward to it. However, they have recently changed the menu. All of the items we previously enjoyed have been removed. We loved the Buzzard dilla and the taco bowl. Both are no longer available. The remaining items leave much to be desired. Dry wraps, boring salad, overcooked burger. Disappointing that our favorite lake restaurant is no longer a place we want to spend our hard earned money at. Feels like a break up. It was great while it lasted

This place came in handy when we needed to eat and park the boat and skis. We shared the chips and dips. No one was in masks and no hand sanitizer and no social distancing. It may have not been mandated but still have a virus coming and going in and out of the snack shack. Boys sat outside and dealt with bees and wasps. No fun there... we had to sit inside glad it wasn't busy. Waitress was polite but not very knowledgeable about what she was serving. Margaritas were yummy but for the costs of the food and drink was NUTS! Then we shared the very large club sandwich and it was large, yes but not very tasty . It worked... but just know there are no cautionary actions taken here at this marina.

This was a fun little place to enjoy a late afternoon cocktail on the deck until the rain came, then we moved inside to look over the menu. The service was friendly and the meal was good. Perfect laid back, easy going place right on Lake Barkley. Dress comfy and chill for a while.

Worst service on Kentucky Lake. Unprofessional and rude. In desperate need of new ownership and staff overhaul.

My parents bought a condo in Kuttawa recently. I went down to visit them and they took me to have lunch here at Buzzard Rock Cafe. Buzzard Rock Cafe is located on Lake Barkley, they are actually have a marina here at Buzzard Rock. You can launch a boat or dock a boat in one of the covered areas, I shutter to think how much that would cost. We entered the cafe and found ourselves in a gift shop. They have a lot of different shirts and other gift shop items available. You have to walk a little ways into the gift shop to get to the cafe. Once you are there it is a 'seat yourself' basis. They have an inside area, a patio area with booth seats inside a screened in area and then patio area that is outside where you sit in patio tables with umbrellas. We thought about sitting on the patio with the umbrellas but 10 minutes after arriving it started to pour rain, so we were glad to be inside the screened in patio area. We sat ourselves and grabbed some menus behind us. I decided on the Buzzard Dilla, which is a chicken quesadilla that is loaded with cheese, mushrooms, peppers, and spices. We arrived around 1pm on a Saturday and the cafe was VERY busy. It took a while for our server to come and get our drink order, but I think that was because it was there was only one server. Our server very friendly and was very rushed as she was doing it all. It took about 25 minutes for us to get our entrees. I was surprised with how LARGE the quesadilla was. It was literally hanging off the plate! It comes with a pack of sour cream, a little cup of salsa and some kind of white sauce. The salsa tasted like it was from a jar and wasn't my favorite, but I really liked the white sauce with the quesadilla. The quesadilla wasn't only large, but thick, like 3/4 an inch in some areas. It was full of big pieces of chicken, onions, green peppers, mushrooms a CHEESE. Tons of cheese. I really did enjoy the quesadilla. Our server was very friendly and I really did enjoy the food. The theme of the restaurant is kind of Florida Keys which I liked. You can sit outside or on the patio and watch the action from the marina. This place is a no brainer. Stop in and give them a shot. The next time I'm in it'll be hard to not order the Buzzard Dilla!

Food wasn't horrible. But, I will not be returning due to the sheer fact that we were trying to enjoy a nice quiet sunday dinner and there was this very loud obnoxious lady a couple of tables over. She was loud enough I even complained to the waitress how we couldn't even have a conversation because all we could hear was her conversation. Come to find out she was the owner. Not the best way to run an establishment. I guess if you don't mind loud obnoxious people then it would be an ok place to go if you want to payvhugh end prices for a dive type restaurant.

We went about 6:30, just my husband and myself. The waitress told us we could sit where we liked. We found a table. Everyone else was eating. Waited about 20 minutes. Another customer told them no one had taken our order. Ten minutes later the girl came by our table to another one. They told her it was us she needed to wait on. It was like we were invisible. She came and took drink orders, then left to get menus. Came back with menus. Came back with our iced tea. Disappeared. Another waitress came by with something for another table and asked if anyone had taken our order. We said no...she kept right on going. We waited about ten or fifteen more minutes. We got up and left. Only way I can post is to put a star but they don't deserve one as far as I am concerned.

Small but well executed menu. Great boat bar and nice interior and exterior eating areas. Good selection of beers and cocktails. Bands on the weekend and a very festive atmosphere. Great place for good food and good time, all on the water!

We have enjoyed coming to this restaurant this summer but something changed in August. We loved the catfish sandwich so much that we bragged it up to friends. Unfortunately we put our foot in our month when we took 2 other couples with us. 3 of us ordered the catfish sandwich but the fish was minimal. Usually the sandwich has so much fish you take some home. Sadly there was more bun than fish. Two of our friends that ordered the fish sandwich are big men. I felt so bad recommending the fish sandwich that I had to apologize to them. Please do not skimp on the fish. We hadn't gone there in a while since the fish sandwich episode but stopped again before the end of summer this time for lunch. My husband & I ordered the pizza this time which is always good. First they were out of the beer my husband ordered, then we waited 50 min for our pizza. I felt sorry for the waitress who stopped by our table to apologize. When she stopped a second time, we asked what was the problem. The waitress said they didn't have green peppers for the sausage & green pepper pizza we ordered so someone went to the store to buy it. We said someone could have told us & we would have switched to mushrooms. She said we didn't have mushrooms either. We laughed & said you have a veggie pizza on the menu. ?!? It was a Friday afternoon with several weekends left in the summer. Why would you not be stocked up?! When she delivered the pizza she said they now had the original beer my husband asked for first. Wth!!! The kicker was when we went to pay with a $100 bill but they had no change. Not a good way for a business to start a weekend! Crazy! We hope next year will be better!
