Worth the drive! AYCE crab leg buffet was great. Service was impeccable. Would definitely recommend if you are a seafood lover

Great food me and my family went Thursday night for the breakfast buffet and we really enjoyed our food. We did not like our dishonest waitress though my grandson made an honest mistake and his money fell out his pocket and we searched and searched for it but couldn't find and even asked everyone there if they had seen it all the while our dishonest waitress had picked it up and claimed it as a tip and never admitted it. So if we ever go back it won't be as her as our waitress

My husband and I really looked forward to this trip to Butler's. We disregarded previous bad reviews that were posted when they first opened. The fried shrimp was the same frozen, pre-packed shrimp you can buy in freezer section of Walmart. Oysters seemed to be the same. The fried catfish was overcooked and small pieces, not filets. The steak was good. If you want a piece of cake it is an additional 3.99 in a addition to the $27 for the buffet. Cobbler and ice cream are included. Listen to the bad reviews. We won't go back. The servers were great, and the reason we gave a two. We are disappointed...we really wanted to love this place.

If there was a way to give a half star, I would. It was our first time there tonight after seeing postings for the place all over Facebook for a year. Tonight was the steak and seafood buffet. We got there at 5, an hour after it opened. The parking lot is way to small for the amount of people who come to eat there. The wait was an hour, and from overhearing an hours worth of conversations from those standing outside awaiting entrance, it always is. It's a cafeteria like setting with plenty of room and tables to seat small to very large groups easily. Keep in mind they do not take reservations. So the larger the group the longer the wait. Our first pass through the line was fine. I got some of everything I wanted. Our waitress, Jasmine (if I remember correctly) was incredibly nice and helpful. Also very quick. The oysters tasted like they'd been kept in the same cooler with the catfish they were waiting to cook. Very fishy tasting instead of either clean or salt water tasting. They almost made my husband vomit at the table and he's never had an oyster he didn't like. The fried green tomatoes were so thin and over cooked they were inedible. The crab cakes and stuffed crab were run of the mill store brand frozen items anyone can buy in bulk at Sam's or Costco. Not good at all. The steaks were steak pieces that had been marinating in Worcestershire sauce for hours or so they tasted. I was fine with the taste but my husband was not. The shrimp scampi wasn't scampi. Just hot buttered shrimp, which again, I was perfectly fine with. The chicken tenders were good but so are the ones at the convenient store down the road. Frog legs were good. Catfish nuggets were very tasteless. Hush puppies were sweet and had big onion chunks in them. Fine for folks who like that I guess. Just not me. Second pass through the line is where everything finally started to fall apart. The only things I wanted more of was the shrimp scampi and steak. Neither were on the buffet. Most of the items on the buffet were empty. The lady behind my asked where the steak was cuz she had been through the line twice waiting on it. The lady behind the counter said they were coming so we waited at the end of the line and told people to go around us. That didn't work either because everyone was waiting on something so eventually most of us got pushed out of the line and just moved on. I went back to my table empty handed and told my husband to just go through for whatever he wanted and pick me up some steak and shrimp. He headed toward the line and immediately came back because he said the line was too long. It was the same length as when I went through. He just doesn't have the patience for stuff like long slow moving lines. So I didn't get any more food. I looked at the check only to see that what I thought would be a $25 each charge was $30 each with $2.73 admin fee we weren't expecting. While my husband was getting banana pudding, I asked to speak to a manager. My husband finished his pudding and the manager never came. By this time I was so disappointed I just wanted to go home. At the register the manager finally showed up. I told her my complaints only to have her tell me everything *I* did wrong in the process. I didn't go stand behind the counter on the employee side and wait on the shrimp. I'm sorry. What?!?! Who does that?? Where are you allowed to do that?!?! I didn't tell someone I wanted anything. I didn't have to. The lady behind the counter had already called it all back in when I was at the end of the line well before I ever made it to even pick up a tray! I didn't go back to my table and tell the waitress what I wanted so she could bring me some. Bring me some shrimp and steak that weren't available??? Cuz by the time we left, the steak had been replaced with catfish filets! Finally I was just like...you know what. You're right. It's all my fault. I'm sorry. She tried to backpedal by saying no it's not my fault, but I just told her to have a nice night and left. We both decided that we will not return. Money is too tight right now to spend $72 on French fries, hush puppy, and chicken tender refills after eating 6 shrimp and 1/8 of a piece of steak. For that money we can go somewhere else, not wait in line for food, and get exactly what we want that actually tastes much better. Just not here.

Very good food and friendly people. Very crowded on Sunday early afternoon. Definitely a locals place. I'm glad we found it.

Really disappointed in meal Sunday afternoon. The food is usually better. Fried chicken was so tough I could not eat it. The mac and cheese looked like it was left over from another day. All the way home, my husband kept saying "my stomach is mad at me for eating that food.The employees are always nice, but they did have a bad day for the food that was served. Two buffets without salad cost us $35 plus $7 tip. Think we will start trying other restaurants.

Great place to eat. It is a buffet. Food was delicious and presented well. A little pricey but well worth it. Iced tea was great and banana pudding delicious.

Great family atmosphere and wide selection. Our family loved the crab legs. Might steer away from oysters, but everything else is very tasty. Good salad bar. Servers are excellent and personable. They are set up for major crowds and handle them very organized and effectively. Really enjoyed the banana pudding for desert.

Me and my momma drove all the way from alabama to see this place and the food did not disappoint. Mac and cheese was amazing to me (momma said it lacked flavor but i loved it.) The shrimp was pretty dang good too. Service pretty nice they cleared our trays often so we were always able to get more from the buffet. The place looked pretty clean and nice. They play country music too so the vibes pretty nice.

This place is awful. My fish was not cooked done, when I sent it back, instead of cooking a fresh order, they refried my fish. I didn't eat my food. I told the owner, her reply was, it's not my fault you didn't like your food. We served what you ordered. I told her we drove 50 miles and she said, so.The service was poor and they auto gratuity 50.00. We had to get our own silverware and the server never removed dirty plates in between trips to the buffet. It was just nasty and over prices for bad food and poor service.Lesson learned. SEAFOOD Junctio. In byhalia is better.They don't even deserve the sympathy of 1 star.
