Bob's Fish Fry

Absolutely amazing! One of the best, if not the best meal we've had while in Nashville. Bob is super nice, and the man can fry fish! We had the fish dinner, regular and Nashville hot. Side of beans, hush puppies, and a special salad of sorts that blew my mind! I cannot say enough about this place! Awesome!!

Trying to give places some slack during the current situation but ordered from Bob's tonight and it just wasn't good. I really wanted it to be... I ordered the fish tacos and my husband got the sandwich. My tacos were dry and the tortilla was really chewy. My husband liked the sauce on his sandwich but his side of hush puppies that we paid extra for only came with three. For the price it just wasn't worth it.

I stopped by Bob's Fish Fry truck during lunch and they offer a pretty small menu, but "fish fry" is in the name, so it kinda makes sense. They only offer catfish which isn't my favorite fish, but I didn't have many food trucks to choose from so this seemed like the best option. I didn't know what reunion salad was and they let me try a sample which I appreciated. It was very good and consisted of peppers, tomatoes, and onions in what tasted like a vinegar with seasoning and it was a nice addition on top of the tacos. For 9.00 you get two decent sized tacos and they were good but definitely needed hot sauce. I highly recommend adding it to your fish if you eat here. I liked that the fish wasn't heavily breaded or greasy; it was nice breading that went well with the fish. I would probably like it better if they offered a fish I like better than catfish, but overall it was decent, just not something I'm itching to eat again.

Bobs Fish Fry food truck came to my neighborhood today. I ate here because I saw they had good reviews. I wish I did not. While I was eating my fish I pulled a long hair out of my mouth. That is so unsanitary and disgusting. Especially for someone like myself who is always very concerned about germs. I told my husband to take it back up there and get a refund. My husband was kind enough to wait for all of the customers to leave before he met him know what happened. A man named Tony was still rude to him. He told me he went back and forth with him and did not apologize. When he offered to show Tony the hair he laughed and said do you have the food rudely? Didn't care at all about the hair. My hair isn't that texture or color either. He then said well she ate most of it. It is not my fault where I happen to find and eat a hair. Plus I still had sides I hadn't eaten. Because he was so rude I went up to the truck to let me man know I didn't appreciate how rude he was to my husband. I told him you need to be nicer to people when there is a problem instead of how you behaved. I said I wish I found that hair when I first started eating so I wouldn't eat any of it. He said I offered to make more or refund. I said why would I want to eat more food here if I ate a hair. I told the man they make good fish however him being rude was not ok. He must be a nasty guy to not find it a big deal that someone has eaten hair a very long hair in food they served. You should say I apologize and improve by wearing hair nets! I even asked him why they weren't wearing hairnets, he didn't answer. I am calling the TN health department of food and safety in the morning to advise them how this truck is not following health and safety rules and obviously does not care. I bet if he ate hair he'd be very angry. I am a very clean person and so this is disgusting to me. After this happened I went straight to my bath room and rinse my mouth with Peroxyl to get the bacteria out of my mouth. I have never called the food health department but since this man doesn't get how bad this is he will now. And if he isn't the business owner the owner deserves to know how he engages with paying customers for issues like this. Why would I pay $13 for food I can't eat or feel safe to finish? So tony thinks I was just going to spend my money and not say anything about hair in my food? Normally I don't complain but how he acted with my husband was unacceptable behavior. A grown man that doesn't know how to be polite and professional. And it wasn't about the refund it was about that a lesson should be learned of the importance of following health and safety rules and wear hair nets and learn courtesy. I will also talk to our HOA manager who books these food trucks and let her know not to use Bobs fish anymore so neighbors over here aren't so upset when Tony treats them bad. He acted very apologetic with me but treated my husband awful. Maybe because he is African American. And we don't throw racism loose but I'm pretty sure that was why. I bet he wouldn't have treated the white neighbors this way. He is lucky I didn't get on our neighborhood app and tell everyone not to eat here because I pulled a long hair out my mouth and the man taking orders didn't care one bit...

I tried Fish Tacos for the first time today and i liked them:)This particular food truck was right around the corner so i thought why not?I ordered two order's of fish tacos for my brother and me.Overall the taste was excellent,The catfish was tasty and tinder which is always a winner in my book.My only grip would be the price of the food.It's $9.00 for 2 tacos i bought two order's and the total came up to $18 which i thought was high.Maybe $7.50 for two would be more reasonable?But hey that's just my opion.I would totally recommend this place to anyone because the taste of the catfish is out standing.Also on a sidenote don't forget to add the hot sauce it goes very well with the food:)

Greatest food of all time. No better fish in the world. Tacos are incredible, but really can't go wrong with any of the main dishes.

Bob's fish fry food truck came to Del Webb today and I had the fish dinner first time I've ever eaten Bob's fish fry and it was definitely worth the money to buy and lived up to the advertising. I would recommend Bob Fish fry, but if you are a single eater, the dinner is a lot of food. My wife and I shared the one dinner.

Top notch service and food! Well worth the price! Excellent flavor on the fish fry! Don't miss the Reunion salad! It is so good!!! I will be seeking this place out when I want fried fish! The owner was very personable and welcoming to any questions I had! Also... tartar sauce is the best you'll ever have!

I have had the chance to eat from Bob's Fish Fry at multiple food truck events and I'm never disappointed. They make their own tartar sauce and it's a great flavor on their perfectly fried fillets. And, they have a very friendly truck crew that's quick to get your order out in a timely manner. Highly recommended!
