Bluesville Showcase Nightclub

Went here for my birthday and saw Bill Burr. He was hilarious! The warm up comedians weren't bad either. You cannot bring drinks in from the casino that it is in which is normal and expected. The seating was terrible!! It is those folding chairs with fake cushion jokes together. I was sandwiched between my husband who is a big guy and a bigger woman. He had me and an average size man next to him. These seats are for people who are not a pound overweight. No thigh meat can go past the seat or it affects the entire row so you can imagine how I felt. Luckily the husband of the lady next to me unhooked their chairs and the other guy left for another seat. Since this is a music venue, it does function best at that if it is for dance floor use. We were close to the stage so we had a nice view. There were also the two screens showing the comedians. There were levels, all with the same seating, which made it easy to get a good look. It is cozy, not to large to get a bad seat. Try to pick your seat in the end if you are not waifer thin.

Saw the Ohio Players here last night one of the all time great funk groups. The shows at Bluesville never disappoint with someone taking the time to outfit the place with a sound system that would be suitable in a venue 3 times the size. This means you hear everything the way musicians and vocalists are meant to be heard. Seats are regular size so if you need more space buy two. Great place and keep the shows coming.

I drug my husband to see the Goo Goo Dolls Friday night. I bought seats in section 207 which said limited views; however, the view was amazing. I would definitely recommend this section for any show there. The only better place would be in the front section.
