Blue Oak Oyster Bar and Grill

Excellent service. I cannot overstate how great the service was for our entire meal. We ordered everything (2 apps, 2 mains) at once and everything came out at appropriate times. I never had to ask for more water. The food was great. I have never had fried pepperocini peppers before, but they are excellent. The Cajun ranch is great, not too spicy or salty. All of the fish the we ordered was cooked perfectly, and the shrimp in the Cajun Alfredo we ordered didn't have the tails on!! (I will die on this hill - more restaurants should take the tails off of shrimp that are going INTO a dish) We will definitely be back.

Food was gross! Ordered prime rib. It's a Friday and Saturday only meal. The meat was COLD Came here for the oysters and they were penny size.Service is what got a two star

My wife and I had dinner at the Blue Oak Oyster Bar and Grill tonight. It's clean and the tables are spaced out nicely with a total of 74 seats (not counting the bar). Our waitress was fantastic and I had to smile because she matched the reviews I had already read. Friendly and accurate with our orders and we never had to ask for drink refills. I saw her motion to hold off bringing our main courses out because we weren't quite finished with our salads. Great service! We had the fried alligator appetizer and it was perfect and tender. The remoulade was mild, but good. Our salads (a raspberry vinaigrette and a Caesar) were the right size and they were good too. I had the grilled grouper with fried rice and it was excellent. The fish was cooked to perfection with just the right flavor. My wife had the salmon with grilled asparagus and they were both terrific. It seems like this is the place for parents visiting their kids at college to take them to. But the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. Great food and great service in a comfortable environment with good prices. We can't ask for more. We will be back and highly recommend this fine restaurant.

Out of towner dropping daughter off at UTM. Neat place & Main Street vibe. Very clean. Nice locals at the bar. Good menu, food was tasty, service was friendly. Will definitely be back. Not a lot of options in Martin, this is a quality place.

So I will say, the blue oak is a nice enough place and I think it could be a really great place to eat. I just sadly did not experience that. It was packed but had several tables that were pushed together. The annoying part was that they wouldn't seat us due to only having 3 people. They said those tables were only for big groups. We asked if we could simply separate the tables and were told no.So we sat at the bar. The bar tender was great but she was the only person behind the bar. She had probably 15 people eating at the bar and also had to bartend the entire restaurant. She needed to be given a raise because she handled it like an absolute champ to the best of her ability.The food we got was sadly just not that great. I mean, it was ok, but I will say that I left their feeling like I probably wouldn't return.

Tried using feedback system on receipt...doesn't work...food was good...service was great with a caveat...bartender making pours was inconsistent. I ordered a double pour and it looked single...I then ordered a single pour and it was the exact same amount compared side by side. The waitress told me to take it up with the bartender...lol...

In town for a meeting and had to go last night. Sister ran in for a to go order and she came back to the hotel raving about how friendly everyone was. So that's a bonus. So the food, I had a steak salad and it was delicious! My sister did oysters - I live near the ocean so normally don't eat this far inland but she said they were delicious! She also did the fish tacos on recommendation from another customer. Again, she thought these were delicious! Honestly a cute local restaurant with delicious food.

Great little restaurant in downtown Martin. Located in a beautiful historic corner building with loads of personality this is the place for good food, good service, great atmosphere! They have a extensive selection of bourbon if you like bourbon you will have many to choose from. The wine list fails terribly and needs much improvement but besides that everything is good!!

We love Blue Oaks and to this day never had a bad experience. The staff are great and will fix anything you need and very prompt. The bar can make some awesome drinks.

Delicious food and very good service. Had the blackened mahi tonight which was the special and it was a winner. Good size portion. I will be back. A great place for family or getting together with friends.
