Big Shakes Hot Chicken and Fish

Seems to be hit or miss.Our food was super fresh, hot, and the spice was awesome. I ordered the Ghost Fries and my friends both ordered the Jumbo Chicken Tenders Platter. Two orders came out quickly, the other seemed to be forgotten until she walked up and asked where her food was. It was fresh and delicious when it came out but she didn't get to eat her food at the restaurant because it took so long and we had places to be.My ghost fries were fresh and crunchy, not soggy, yay. And they add a lot of flavor, spice, and chicken in the basket. Parking was a little difficult to find but not horrible. The place was clean and the hostess was pleasant.The food really is great, and the portions are nice; they just need to work on filling the orders instead of forgetting customers.

The food is impressive and delicious. We always pickup so unsure of atmosphere for dine in. Service is fair from my experiences. Off square location makes for challenging parking sometimes.

We were introduced to this restaurant by our niece and nephew. They were raving about the hot chicken. We enjoyed lunch here. It is as expected, very casual atmosphere with good food. You order at a counter, receive a number for your table and fill your own drinks. Our food was hot when it arrived and lived up to the hype. You can order 5 levels of spice, "original"- no spice, "cry baby"-mild, "stop,drop and roll"- medium to hot , "Rambo"- hot and "executioner"-super hot. You get a side with your meal. Try the beans. The place was busy with a hearty lunch time crowd. We want to go back and try the Rambo level- well my husband does anyway!

Really really good chicken tenders. The fries were great too! They have a nice patio out back too!

Chicken had Very good flavor, service great! Would definitely go back. If you're in town and looking for a local hit chicken treat, this place is worth trying.

Soft open today, three real positives: 1. The hot catfish is awesome, just don't put wet pickles on my crispy catfish. 2. Real silverware. 3. Plenty of parking just a block off the square. OK thats it. First off this is not Nashville Hot chicken (they don't claim to be), its just hot chicken so don't get it confused with the real thing. This is as close to the traditional Nashville staple as Makers Mark is to Tennessee Sipping Whiskey so temper your expectations. I got the chicken and catfish combo, the chicken was just undercooked enough so you'd notice but the fish made up for that, it was amazing*****. Ordering is a little confusing, you have to get both chicken and fish to get 2 sides and there is a curious $0.75 upcharge for mac n' cheese. I say its curious because most elementary schools make it better, and the collards are terrible, they should take those off the menu until they get somebody that can come in and teach them how to make the damn things. Don't expect cornbread, thats an actual 'side.' LOL There's dining inside and out back in the parking lot. They have a bar with no TVs and no beer, still waiting on their beer license I'm told. Bottled drinks only, no sweet tea in sight. And finally, Big Shakes is expensive... my tray was over 20 bucks with a drink and tip. And people wonder why Popeye's is so popular. 2.5 Stars

We used to love this place! Most recent time eating here was actually take out. They switched the seasoning levels on our dishes, so that was a problem since some of the family does not like spice. The sides were very disappointing too. I would say, if you eat here stay at the restaurant for the better delivery and to troubleshoot anything wrong with the order.

I absolutely enjoy this place. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. To me, their hot chicken is the bomb and they aren't lying about the Big MessyUNFORTUNATELY, I've just learned that the chain has gone out of business

I have never been more thirsty after eating here in my life. I got regular chicken and I woke up and went through 6 bottles of water. The food was good but I'd never eat here again

Good food and portions but wow the front desk person is unbearable, probably won't be back because of her, the guy behind me said the same exact thing
