Betty's Parkway Restaurant

Super excellent service, and it was pretty busy for Sunday at 12:30. This was our first visit to Betty's, but I see us going back for the Friday & Saturday night specials. Their claim to fame is their steaks, which is what we will try next time.

Betty's Parkway Restaurant has been around since 1986...now being run by her son Tim Duncan. The location is pretty cool, high above the Duck River with a wonderful view. My server Christy got me set up with beverages while I looked over the menu. I was not hungry enough for the "Best Steak in Maury County, TN" meal so I went for some Chili and a Steak Sandwich with grilled onions, mushrooms & Swiss. The chili comes out in a huge bowl so it is a meal in itself so some of it came home with me. This is a chili with beans and is chock full of ground beef and beans in a rich (but mild) sauce. The chili is good but it is a bit bland and there is no kick, spice, or heat to the dish. The steak sandwich meat is ribeye and according to Christy is marinated in a special sauce. The meat was cooked as requested and the steak was good and the overall flavor with the hoagie bun, onions, mushrooms, and Au-jus was very good. Overall a nice lunch in a cool atmosphere and the service was great. Loved all of the racing memorabilia from Tim Duncan and now his sons...you can see they are proud of their accomplishments. I popped in for a couple of burgers this afternoon.cooked to perfection. The steak fries were hot and yummy. The side of ranch was so good. My waitress Felicia was friendly and proficient. I would totally recommend a try.

Food was very salty. The meat was really tough. I ordered a side of hush puppies and it was the three littlest pups I've ever seen. Fried green tomatoes were damn near burnt. The waitress kept forgetting to return with items she went to retrieve....I will for sure never return.

Food quality was good and tasty -- wait time is a tad longer than other venues due to an older restaurant design with smaller kitchen -- but the folks seated around us didn't seem to care -- and the pace seemed just right for the somewhat scenic setting along the Duck River. Staff are pleasant and friendly and all seem to have fairly long tenures here -- suggesting the family run business is a good place to work. Don't expect anything fancy here -- it's been a long time since the doors first opened. Concept is a cross between a country family diner and roadhouse steak joint.

We Love their steak dinner. The steaks are tender and juicy. The staff are friendly and personable. We recommend this place.

Luv the atmosphere of this place, great wait staff, great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nice bar and live music occasionally. I have never had a bad experience eating here.

This place has decent food and fairly good prices for the food that they sell. We just don't attend this restaurant very often due to the pathetic wait staff. They are very in attentive it takes forever for them to wait on you. It's hard to get your receipt at the end. And they just don't pay attention to paying customers. They're always somewhere else in another corner doing something else preoccupying themselves instead of making sure the customers are waited on correctly.
