Can't say enough about this place! What a legend they are in not just their community, but the whole area of NE Arkansas! Best advice...GET THERE EARLY!!!Just like any bakery worth a hoot, they will sell out every single day. The only hours you need to concern yourself with are the hour in which they open. They will sell out before the closing time so don't bet on showing up at 11am and them having everything you want.This is not a knock on them at all, but a tip of the cap for being so dang good!What to order...EVERYTHING! I haven't had a single item on their menu or in the glass case that wasn't awesome. They do have seating, so you don't have to get it to-go. There isn't a ton of seats, but just enough. Its usually quite and peaceful inside w/some folks getting started on their workday, and some just enjoying nice conversations w/a guest.The staff is running like crazy trying to keep up w/the drive thru window, the customers at the counter, and getting stuff from the kitchen. Be patient & kind, because they get to every customer as quick as they can.We love this place and really wish we had more opportunity to get by their more often.

Known for their donuts and fried pies, but come for their country breakfasts complete with biscuits and gravy, egg biscuit sandwiches, pancakes and an espresso bar. The drive through window is always busy on the weekends so best to come inside. I kind of laugh that this bakery is attached to a fitness center so people watching is great. Lots of food in the breakfast platters at a reasonable price. History tip - this place and the fitness center next door used to be a movie theater converted.

Battens bakery in Paragould. A local legend. Big and delish donuts. And they also have a wonderful cooked breakfast. Eggs pancakes. Biscuit and gravy. Etc. I highly recommend. They also have a really good coffee bar.

Pretty great donuts! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because they dont have high chairs and their baked cinnamon roll was super doughy!

I agree with those who said get there early!Spouse and I drove through and got two Angel cream filled long Johns - wowza delicious. It cost around $5. Don't know about the ambiance because we drove through but the gal at the window was nice.

Best homemade pies and breakfast menu. Chocolate gravy is one of my personal favorites.

Grew up in Paragould when Mr Batten sold donuts out of his garage. was pretty good til, last couple of times . They are out of product before 10'oclock. The help needs some lessons in customer service. The entire operation seems to be going downhill. However they were on top for awhile, just not anymore.

Best donuts I have ever eaten next to my mothers if you go early in the morning you can get them hot and there is nothing in the world better than a hot fresh donut
