The woman behind the counter spoke broken English, ran the register and cooked our food. It was all pretty good. Nothing to complain about.

The nice woman behind the counter ran the register, waited on us and cooked our food. Her English was not great and she didn't bring me the black beans I ordered but I think she just didn't understand my order. I REALLY wanted to love this place as I love the Honduran cuisine. My friend ordered the steak and egg Baleandas and really loved it. My baked chicken with fried plantains and shredded cabbage was not bad but not worth $12.00. Neither dish was too special but not bad either. The place was clean enough but It sits on a dirty little stretch of Getwell. There is a chance I may end up there for breakfast sometime in the future but not too likely.

Omg, this place is fantastic. We went to Adams and just stopped here to grab a bite to eat. This is our new place for Central American food. We lived in Cali for years and never had Honduran food. Blew our socks off. Wonderful little place. Nothing to look at, but the food is out of this world. Cash Only, so bring your pesos and eat you heart out. We will be back again and again.

I tried it for the first time tonight. The service was very slow and they barely speak English. We ordered 2 quesadillas one chicken, one steak. Both came with lettuce, a slice of tomato, avocado slices and an inverted cup of rice. Oh also a small cup of green sauce that was way too spicy for me. But I am a baby when it comes to heat. The steak was awesome! The chicken was awfully burnt. I will definitely get the steak again. But the chicken... I think not.

I'm not sure why I didn't write a review a year ago but forgot I guess. Have eaten here a few times now and the food has been fresh and bursting with flavor every time. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about but it has been clean every time and the bathroom was clean with hand soap and paper towels. Complete mom and pop place. I could go on and on about what to get but I've tried maybe 7-8 things and they have all been good so be adventurous and try what sounds good to you. Note, the "stews" are really a plate of thick sauced meats. They make breakfasts all day that look fantastic and will be my next thing to try. Very reasonably priced with huge serving sizes. No one working has spoken more than a couple words of English so it's a little confusing to order as I don't speak much Spanish. The menu has the dishes in Spanish and almost English. Ha. I highly recommend giving the place a try!

TERRIBLE SERVICE. we had a very young girl, probably age 12 or 13, as our server. she clearly had no idea what she was doing and was as lost as who knows what. she messed up on our order and didn't write down one of our meals! After serving us our food she asked 10 minutes later if she could get us anything else and we told her we were missing the rest & she said "my mom isn't cooking no more food." Yes the restaurant was "closed" at this time but we had ordered this meal with the rest of our food. We just arrived to Memphis and as we found out they had baleadas express, we drove to eat here... biggest regret. the cashier was a bit older than our server and very unprofessional. This is clearly a family owned restaurant with terrible qualities. do not recommend what's so ever. the 12 year old is not put up to be a server. nothing was done by any of the staff to make our visit better.

I kept driving pass this place and seeing the sign for Honduran food and thinking I should check it out but no one knew what I was talking about. Evidently this location was Le Espiga Bakery until recently. Well I finally stopped in and was not disappointed. Will definitely be going back. The food was fresh, flavorful, and affordable. Very authentic and it cam out fast!
