I did a call in take-out order. The order takers was wonderful, they asked about all my options with my order, and read it back. I have not opened it yet to see if kitchen staff followed my choices.Well, the food was so dry, I don't think they put any sauce on the food nor offered it on the side, defeats the customer service.

Awesome BBQ, last minute party is no problem. Bad Bob had everything together within 24 hours. Order tonight and feed 12-15 tomorrow wasn't a problem. Thank You Bad Bob's

During parent's weekend, we realized our tailgate was missing a small detail ... the food. At 10:00 a.m., I called Bad Bob's BBQ and they were absolutely helpful and responsive! The Store Manager returned my call within 15 minutes and helped us plan a menu to feed 100 people. By noon, we were able to pick-up the BBQ, 3 sides and paper products. When I arrived, the entire staff was packing the order and helped place into our car to save time. Not only was placing the order simple, the price well worth it, the BBQ and sides were the best part of the experience - truly a local gem in Murray that deserves a visit or order for your next catering event!(And, while I didn't get a chance to dine-in, it would be your simple, "home-town" BBQ joint to enjoy.)Thank you BBB! : )

This review is for the Benton location. Got a couple pounds of brisket yesterday. It was too dry & a little tough. Flavor was ok but not great. We had brisket from Knoth's in Lake City last week. It was tender, moist & had a great smoky flavor. After Knoth's, Bad Bob's was a big disappointment

Our annual golf outing is to Paris Landing and when we played the course in Murray, we asked for a good place to get BBQ. "Bad Bob's is my go-to place for BBQ," she said. So off we went. All the guys are from the Chicago area, except me, so it was important to me for us to have good - and we did. The All-You-Can-Eat plate was the favorite. Good food, friendly staff and it won't break the bank. What else could you ask for?

Had lunch there last week as my son attends MSU. BBQ pork shoulder was delicious, hot and fresh. Perfectly seasoned. Baked beans and potato salad were also very good. Small, local flavor, down home casual restaurant. Employees were very friendly! Will definitely return!

Staff was great but, food was awful. It really was so bad. Pulled pork was decent but, all the sides were horrible. Mac and cheese was runny and tasteless, the corn bread and rolls were horrible. I did not even know it was possible to mess up fried pickles but, it is and they did. Kids got chicken strips and fries consensus's was that they were average at best.

We came through here on a Saturday for lunch. We were wanting BBQ and this place wasn't too busy. Should have taken that as a sign. This was probably the WORST BBQ I have ever had. The only thing edible on anyone's plates were the slaw and beans. My family of 4 got a mixture of chicken ribs and pulled pork. The chicken and ribs tasted like they were boiled and then re-heated. The BBQ sauce for the "wet" 1/2 chicken was ice cold. Even the cornbread was awful. We spent over $40 and threw most of it away. I'm not normally one to write reviews and definitely not one to post a bad review. I had to in this instance. It was really bad.

Good food. Weird atmosphere. When I lived in MKY I would eat here regularly. The BBQ is good. The sauce is good, but even the hot is a little sweet but that's ok. Their potato salad is excellent. What I always had a problem with was the TV. Without fail you can expect one of three programming choices: daytime talk shows like Maury, Fox News, or public access replays of Murray High/Calloway Co. High athletics. Even if you're not a sports bar how about something less polarizing, like sports?Service was acceptable but nothing to write home about. Sort of a luck of the draw - sometimes very friendly, sometimes not at all. Also, they close at 8 or before everyday. I understand they may run out of food which warrants closing early but I went at 7 on multiple occasions and was surprised to see everything shut down, as in they'd been closed for a while. Recommend: lunch and to-go.

Ate at here for lunch one day after hearing its the best BBQ in town. Was average BBQ, nothing special. Meat was tender but no smoke flavor to speak of and tasted like something that I could have made at home. The sauce is where they really lost me. It looked and tasted like they added water to a 3/4 empty bottle to make the sauce last longer. It was runny and made the bun soggy without adding any sort of flavor to the sandwich. The inside of the joint is not fancy by any means so don't go in expecting anything you've seen in a chain BBQ joint (i.e., Famous Dave's).If you are looking for a tasty pulled pork or brisket sandwich... head on over to The Keg. Their sauces and smoke flavor are significantly better than what you can find at Bob's.
