Let's be honest, it is more like a 2.5....Admittedly, I am a bacon whore. That whole "you had me at bacon" line could be used to describe me. So why is a gal like me giving this truck with the word Bacon ALL OVER THE TRUCK a meh rating? Simple. It is just okay....There's nothing spectacular about it, nothing that makes it stand out. Sure, there's bacon but it is meh. The service is find and dandy but I feel like I am settling when there are so many other choices out there.... Better choices.Bottom line is that I wanted to like this truck SO much more than I do. Maybe I set my expectations too high.... But I don't think so.... I think the food is meh. And meh is not a way to spend my money.

Visited a couple weeks ago. Everything was made to order & fresh. Got the 50/50 bacon burger, which had a kinda weird under flavor to me (I assume it was the smoked bacon, but it tasted a bit metallic or something...odd?).Also got the bacon cheese fries, which were pretty good (had a white queso) and the hot mess: fries topped with pulled chicken, white queso, tomatoes, & bacon, which was meh. (The chicken wasn't special & the fries got soggy fast.)I think my friends liked it a bit more than me, but if I'm eating this kind of food, I want the calories & the clogged arteries to be worth it...I wish I could leave a better review for this place, since I try to support local small businesses, especially ones just starting out, but I was unfortunately underwhelmed. Sorry. :(

I've eaten at this truck a few times and each time was just meh. The burgers are salty with little other flavor to them and the bacon was definitely not Benton's bacon (I guess they ran out). The fries were not good at all - I requested that they make them well done and on the crispy side and he refused, saying that they are all cooked just fine. The customer service and the food leave much to be desired. We have tons of options in Nashville for really good food trucks with fresh ingredients and fantastic customer service (like Yayo's OMG, New Hickory, Four & Twenty Blackbirds, Deg Thai, Casablanca, King Tut's...the list could go on and ON.) Unfortunately, I won't be patronizing this particular one again. On an extremely sensitive note and from someone who has battled with skin conditions myself, I very cautiously recommend that anyone who works in a food establishment (food truck, restaurant, catering, etc.) with a skin disorder wear long sleeves. I think these guys may have good intentions but don't execute well and aren't business savvy and will need to go back to the drawing board, listen to their customers and execute more effectively, with their customers in mind.

What is bacon-y with a hint of bacon and rubbed with bacon all over? A nation of bacon. The Bacon Nation food truck graced the 12 South area earlier this month in support of dog adoption (and cat). I love me some bacon. I really do. I love the 50/50 burger meat from Porter Road Butcher even more than just plain bacon. And, you know what, Bacon Nation makes the Double Bypass burger with 50/50 meat, layers of bacon, cheese, lettuce, and even a piece of white bread in the center of it all. It was bacon in all its glory as I consumed it.Downsides of the truck: it's on the slow side for getting your meal in comparison to a number of the other trucks in the city, including some other trucks that serve burgers. All and all, the Yelp rating system says that 3-stars is A-OK and 4-stars is Yay! I'm a fan! I've chosen to go with the 4-stars out of respect for bacon and my love of 50/50 meat.

Both times I've eaten from this truck, the food was very good. Had the 50/50 burger my first time -- that's 50% ground bacon and 50% ground beef patty. With of course additional slices of bacon on top. Really great flavors and textures. However the BLT that I got the second time is by far my favorite of the two entrees I've tried. Nice crunchy bread, crisp lettuce, good thick tomato slices, and then lots of bacon. And a slightly hot chipotle sauce to hold it all together. My one complaint is that they are slow -- the line is slow, and once you've ordered it takes quite a while to get your food. But as long as you're not in a hurry, it's pretty good.

My son reserved Bacon Nation for my his rehearsal dinner at a fun venue in Franklin from 7:00-10:00pm. They showed up close to being on time unfortunately, they did not stock their truck with meat (bacon burgers). They sent one employee back to retrieve the protein and he returned at 8:30pm. I prepaid for 75 people but most couldn't wait and decided to eat elsewhere. They offered cheese sandwiches and fries while he waited. The lone truck manager unfortunately was angered by the mistake and his patrons felt it with his attitude towards us. I waited for the burger, which is made with bacon, thinking that my hunger would make the burger taste even better. I consider that burger poor at best. I ate half and threw the rest in the trash and decided to eat the fries. I called on Monday and asked that they compute an accurate count of what we consumed so they could adjust the final bill. They refused to offer a discount. I estimated that they fed about 40. To sum up. Poor food, poor service. If you're forced to use this truck, don't prepay.

Holy heart attack, Batman. This ain't a diet-friendly truck. One of my buddies ordered the Double Bypass, which was two big burger patties (50/50 ground bacon and beef) sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwiches. FOR REAL. This exists. Another got the Hot Mess, which was basically bacon cheese fries with ranch chicken and other fixins. YUM.I chose to get Bacon Cheese Fries, which was fries with queso and bacon crumbles. It cost $7, but it was ample for my meal; I didn't even finish it. I was hoping to get a fried egg on top, but they were already out. These guys were serving up a ton of stuff rapid fire; they definitely had service down to a science and rolled food out faster than most trucks. I appreciated that, given it was crazy hot out and the line was long.I would say these fries were pretty tasty. The queso was pretty thick, and overall it was a sticky, delightfully salty mess. I think Bacon Nation is a great gut truck. I never thought I'd say this, but it's almost a little too bacon-y and cheesy for me to consider chasing often. But every so often, I bet I'd like to get my fix.

I was actually disappointed. Think the nation's obsession with bacon got the best of me. Ate here twice. 50/50 burger was okay but patty was too thin. If you get it, double up the patty for the extra $. Chicken fries?? were poor. Chicken consistency was a bit sloppy or mushy. Been better if joist moist and shredded. Best thing from truck was plain fries. Not sure that's a good omen for the 'bacon' truck.

I ordered bacon fries and a water bottle which were good (although not worth $8 plus $2 for the water) and I payed with my card, and the guy in the truck swiped my card and didn't let me sign, and then he added a $2 tip on for himself! I wouldn't have minded leaving a tip but the fact that he took a top out and I didn't realize until after is ridiculous. I recommend you pay with cash or make sure you sign for your food.

This food truck was at my church today. Glad we got in line early bc the line was crazy when we left. I ordered the bacon chicken wrap, and my fiancée ordered the BLT. - once we got out food we walked to the car to eat it. The BLT was 2 pieces of bread with a pile of bacon under the 2 slices of bread. It was as if they forgot to put the sandwich together? There was NO lettuce tomato or remoulade which was all supposed to come on the sandwich??? I ordered a bacon chicken wrap and it came with NO bacon in it? This place really needs to get it together.!!! The food was ok. The BLT, which ended up being just a plain bacon sandwich was obviously bland- although the bacon was good, nothing to go back for. We also ordered the bacon cheese fries, again kinda bland nothing epic. First impressions say a lot. Unfortunately we won't be back.
