Back Yard Bar-Be-Cue

This was my very first visit, and oh my gosh! The service, the restaurant, and the food were amazing. The staff was professional and extremely courteous. The restaurant had a steady flow of customers and was clean. I couldn't eat my entire order of food in one sitting, so I'll have the rest for dinner. You definitely pay for the amount of food that you receive. The chocolate cake couldn't have a lot more attention paid to it, but it was alright. Overall, if I'm ever back in Jackson, TN, I'll definitely be going back. I have to try those loaded potatoes

Closed Sundays! Disappointing. Came here on the way to Nashville based on reviews.Very disappointed. Wish they kept up to date reviews.

I was pleased I stopped in for lunch today. I ordered Brisket, Ribs and Smoked Turkey. Sides were Baked Beans and Potato Salad. Taste and temperature were good. Meet was moist and tender .

Food was still fresh 30 mins before closing. The smoked turkey with pulled pork, baked beans, and green beans. Great combo.

Well I finally found this place after accidentally getting into the restaurant across the parking lot by accident. Well let me tell you I wish I would have gone back to that restaurant because the food that I got here was kind of and Bland. I got the combo meat ribs and brisket which it was chopped brisket and I have known that I would not have gotten that and the ribs were dry kind of like it had that hard crust on top like beef jerky and that's it. The coleslaw it's like somebody minced the cabbage and put some of the juice in there it was kind of dry and the corn was just like out of a can. I'm sorry it's one of those sayings "I wish it would have been better I really wanted to like this place"Some positives I can't say is it is well lit, and there are large containers of unsweet tea sweet tea and lemonade to be had,. Service counter help was kind of like where in high school we wish we weren't here but can't wait to get out of here but you come here to eat not for the smiling faces that you wouldn't mind enjoying with your $20 worth of barbecue right? Parking lot is kind of on the dark side but ample. I noticed this day on Tuesday October 2022 their special was half a chicken with two side for $10. Oh well maybe next time, no wait, there are too many restaurants in this town to try to come back here but I wish this is the best, I hope things get better for them.

I stopped on here for dinner and went with their special of the evening, which was a half a chicken with two sides for just under ten dollars ($9.99 to be exact). I also went with an unsweetened tea. The total for these was under fourteen dollars.The food came out and they called me up. Let me start by saying that this chicken was small, seriously small. For my sides, I went with baked beans and potato salad. Both were somewhat bland, however my chicken (small as it was) was not bad.Service was a bit lackluster, though not terrible. The place had an overall atmosphere was like countless barbecue restaurants that I have been to.As for a rating, I would like to give it a higher rating, but three stars is the fairest rating of stars that I could give for this restaurant. It just was nothing special and honestly, this was akin to something that I could have gotten at Sonny's.

I would leave a zero if I could . Been looking forward to going to this place as we are new in town and wanted a good bbq . It was absolutely disgusting. Cold pork , microwave tasting meat which they called brisket . Canned green beans and corn . We just left all our food on the table except for a couple of bites . I regret not going up and saying something. I lost $30 to this disgusting food . I would not go if I were you

Nothing good about this place. Pork was ice cold and dry, beef was the equivalent of wet cat food, and the Del Monte brand Canned Green beans and corn was definitely not what we were expecting. Absolutely horrendous experience. Do not go.

Pulled chicken was dry. Brisket had no flavor and was tough as wet leather. Pulled pork was fair at best.
