This is a very nice place! I went here for a circus themed baby shower, and this is definitely a hidden gem of a venue. The GPS was a little misleading, but Avon Acres is located on Summer Ave BEHIND Central BBQ.The venue is clean and very spacious, with an outdoor area, interior prior to entering, and very ample space for the event of your choosing. There is regular and wheelchair accessible parking in front, but a larger parking lot is between Central BBQ and the gate before entering Avon Acres. We also had food. It was catered, but there was an area she had for creating beverages, so I imagine there's an area in the back for food preparation. To be honest, I am not sure of the cost, but I'd definitely consider this venue if you're planning for a very large crowd.

I went to an event here recently and I thought everything was wonderful. The venue is so spacious, up to date, easy to access and has the right about of seclusion. There are large garage style doors that can give guest a nice "in/out" feel. The venue was very clean and had ample space for parking. I felt secure here and I can't wait to attend another event at this location.

4 reviews4 minutes agoNEWThis place is absolutely beautiful for a wedding once decorated the way you want it to be. I had never heard of it until my brother informed me this is where his wedding would be. They spent a pretty penny for it too! During the wedding rehearsal and the actual wedding these people would not turn on the air in the facility! The entire wedding party almost passed out. The groom was sweating like a cow waiting for the bride to walk down the aisle, one of the groomsman and bridesmaids fainted and had to be walked away during the wedding, I had to take deep breaths to prevent myself from fainting, another bridesmaid was practically holding up another bridesmaid that was overheated, the damn audience were fanning, I got a message from my daughters grandmother that she had to leave right after the wedding because it was too hot and she didn't want to pass out! How embarrassing! This was all during the wedding! Right after the wedding, my brother, the groom went to an employee and let him have it! "You mean to tell me I have spent all this Fuc$&/&@ money and y'all can't turn on the air?!" Soon after that, the air was turned on???!!!! During the reception it was very nice and cool like it should've been the entire time (were I stood during the wedding is where I sat and the air was blowing right on me during the reception. It was not on at all during the wedding)! WTH?! So y'all are charging 10K plus and saving on the MLGW bills? That's BS! My brother and sister in law did not get an apology from the owner, instead blamed them stating it was the lighting???!!! WTH!? We had more lights during the reception and were cooled off after the air was on! I am highly disappointed In the owners for this venue! I would never recommend them nor will I ever give good reviews if someone ask about them. A beautiful place, but terrible customer service by the owner!!!!!

Beautiful place inside and out. Plenty of parking due to it being behind central bbq and the space is gorgeous. Both of my sisters booked their weddings here and one has been perfect. Everything was set up without a hitch and plenty of room for dancing, a stage band, and tables. They also filmed the event for her. It's just amazing. The cottage for the bridesmaids and groomsmen was so cute and comfortable. Made for easy access to our things if we needed to get them for the wedding. Definitely keeping this place on my list and can't wait for my other sisters wedding!

Let's start with the good. Great venue with mix of indoor and outdoor space. New venue nicely put together and the bride and groom cottages are a nice set up. We booked this venue pre-Covid and everything up to Covid went great. Our reception was scheduled for 6/27. We met first of June and laid out a plan to comply with all the 50% capacity rules including guards for food (venue supplied), worked around venue not wanting to display cake by having my son build a plexiglass shield for the cake and cheese board and the caterer agreed to additional serving staff so that the guests would not touch any serving utensils. Also agreed to have the on-site manager take temperature of each guest as they entered the reception. On 6/19 I went by facility unannounced to make what I thought was my final payment. The manager informed me that they were going to make some changes to the arrangements including: taking temps, having our guests wear masks (even though the mayor had not yet signed that order), having each guest sign a waiver and finally wanted to look into a plexiglass shield in front of the band and to move the dancing outside. This issue maybe that they are owned by a restaurant group and they seem to want to apply all the food service restrictions to their event venue. We challenged them hard on recommendations vs requirements to hold the event. We also secured event insurance for $1M/$3M and offered to name them as additional insured. We told them we didn't want our 200 guests to have temps checked and we definitely didn't want outdoor dancing but agreed to insert a waiver into the wedding program. At 5:47 pm, 7 days before our wedding the manager called and said they needed additional time to discuss with their lawyer if they could have the event and they asked us to wait until the Monday before the wedding to see if they could hold our event. We agreed to part ways and they gave us a full refund. The 1 star review is because of their shortsighted view and lack of proactive action to figure out how to continue to do business 7 days before the event and when exactly were they going to call and tell us about the changes. We found an awesome alternative venue where we had the event of our daughter's dreams. I hope the management of Avon Acres figures out how to operate in a post Covid world because they are not going to make it operating as they are today.
