Avocado’s

I have been to a bunch of Mexican Restaurants but have never seen Hot Tamales at one. So, that's what I got except it was a Hot Tamale platter. It was pretty good but lacked flavor. Everything else was delicious. I have been wanting to come here for a long time since it opened. This building used to be another Mexican restaurant a couple years ago. But, it closed and they remodeled this restaurant and changed its name to Avocados.I tried to visit this restaurant about a week ago. I came in and no hostess to seat us. We waited fir almost 5 minutes but still no one greeted us or came up to seat us. So, we left and went to another Mexican restaurant where someone immediately sat us.Anyway, on my second attempt to visit, there still wasn't a hostess up front to greet us as we came in. But after about one minute or so, someone came up and showed us to our booth. They brought us our chips and salsa and we placed order for our drinks. Then we ordered our meals. They took care of us at our table but I don't know if I want to come back because I don't want to worry about waiting a long time to be seated.

Went here for lunch. Very clean and wide open space. Was seated quickly and almost immediately the waitress showed up to take my drink order. By the time she came back I was ready to order. In less than 12-14 minutes out came my food. I had ordered the three carnitas tacos and a tamale on the side. Let me start off by saying the tamale is NOT a Mississippi delta region tamale. It is a hand made in house Mexican tamale in a very good red gravy. The tacos were served in a stainless steel holder that had been heated up so it kept the tacos warm. The meal came with both red and green salsas and they were spicy and delicious! They also served a grilled jalapeño pepper and an onion both which had a light salt crust on them.I am a professional road warrior (been out 5 wks this run) and I've traveled all over the nation. Not including highly Mexican populated areas this is some of the best, if not the best Mexican restaurant food I've eaten!! Will look forward to eating there

They get one star because I have to give it to post. We went there for lunch and arrived at 10:59:30 and the girl playing on her phone wouldn't seat us because they don't open until 11:00. I think we interrupted her make a tik tok or something. Go to Mexico Grill, the people in this place don't want the business!!

I am living in Mississippi from Georgia for the summer and I am obsessed with Mexican food. I saw this place and had to try it out. I was blown away by the service, especially during a period where good service is far and few due to other things! The food was delicious, fresh, and extremely flavorful. We also shared a chorizo queso which was perfect and not greasy at all. I would recommend Avocado's to anyone looking for good service and great Mexican food!

The service was spotty. We waited around an hour for our food. The ambiance was... it seems like a good place to get drunk but not good for families. We were given plastic utensils, which was interesting. The refried beans were moist. The food overall was decent, but definitely not worth the wait and at that point I was so ravenous I didn't even know if the food was actually good or if I was just hungry.

Food was delicious! Loved the 3 Amigos plate. Margaritas were yummy. Service was very attentive! We'll be back!

Avocado's is always delicious when I eat here. I'm always served quickly, and the servers are all very kind. It never takes long for us to receive our food, and their strawberry margarita is great. 10/10 would recommend.

While the services was sub par, the food was great. Our server started off good but then he forgot to put our order In. For three of us it was over an hour wait for the food. He would pass by us and not even look our way. Just tell us you messed up and we would understand. Once the food came it was great. Would definitely go again as the menu was diverse and the food was full of flavor and texture.

Awful!!!The food was nasty! They have a post that says 2x1 margaritas and draft beer from 3-7 but yet charged us for BOTH beers at 4.50 each. Never again will I be back!! Their food don't even deserve the 1 star!

This is the worst restaurant I have ever went to in my five years of travel. Me and my family of five were disrespected and lied on by the waiter and the manager did absolutely nothing. We were offered a discount, but the price was HIGHER than the original. My three year old son ordered a PEPPERONI pizza with no pepperoni on a Monday where kids under ten are supposed to eat free.
