When I lived in MKY I would eat August Moon just about every weekend after my long run. The food was exactly what you expect to find at a Chinese buffet. Nothing special, but still very good. I always left satisfied and happy with my decision to eat there. Their black bean chicken is one of the best buffet dishes I've ever had. In fact it's probably the reason I kept going back. Service was always great too. Finally, it's one of the few places in MKY that's open past 8 and the keep the food fresh even up to closing time. The fact that they were open relatively late bumps them from 3 to 4 stars.

The food there was very stale. It tasted like it had been sitting there all day. I also saw some new food being mixed in with the old food. When we told the server and the lady in the front about it they acted like they couldn't care less. Service was terrible. The bathroom doors were sticky and had an awful odor to it. Never going again.

If I could give it 1/2 a star I would. Amazingly the WORST Chinese food experience in my life. There were no vegetables on the bars. All the other food tastes the same. YUCK. Don't waste your money.

I have found that this business has lowered its quality. Even though the cost of everything has gone up nationwide, I really did not enjoy the taste or selection. It's not a terrible place but I will no longer be patronize this establishment.

We had the appetizer platter, the Spicy Basil fried rice and drunken noodles. All were fantastic, I asked them to bump up the spice on the drunken noodles and they were fantastic. Next time I'll ask to have the Basil fried rice a notch higher as well, but I like my Thai food pretty spicy. I grew up with a Thai neighbor who loved to cook and brought food over all the time. Thai spicy for me! I highly recommend the Drunken noodles (I had it with chicken).

Spicy is an understatement!!! We ordered the General Tso Chicken which is what we order at every Chinese restaurant. It was very fresh and looked wonderful but the first bite literally caused us all to choke it was so unbelievably spicy. Almost $50 in takeout for three of us just went in the garbage. I called and asked if there was a mixup maybe but they said it was their normal recipe. Be careful what you order if you don't want spicy food. The food smelled amazing and the lady who took our order was very nice so I hope our next experience is better!

My husband picked our food up last night(order to go). His was firecracker chicken with no spice on it and fried rice that was flat. I had sweet/sour chicken, with white rice. I was disappointed in my food. Seemed to be done in a hurry and no flavor. We've eaten at August Moon and enjoyed the buffet many times but this was sad!

Expensive, heavily surveilled, more rules than a kindergarten, and gods help you if they decide to put your picture on the wall claiming you've wronged them in some way. If eating your meal under multiple security cameras is your thing, this is your place. Who wants to eat under Big Brother's watchful eye? The food is at best mediocre. A $15 lunch buffet that has only dessert plates and hardly any food. Inadequate sneeze guards. Flies everywhere. So many rules about what you can and cannot do while in their establishment that my head was spinning. Not to mention the very public rogue's gallery naming and shaming for alleged various insults and crimes -- a defamation lawsuit waiting to happen. Save your time, money, dignity, and taste buds. Go somewhere else.
