This restaurant is under new ownership and has significantly improved--it's much cleaner, well-organized, and no longer stocks expired food or canned items.I stopped by to order takeout since it's close to my house and I was craving something spicy. I ordered the papaya salad combo with chicken wings and sticky rice. The papaya salad was a level 5 spicy and customized to my liking, with a balance of heat and sweetness. It was delicious, especially compared to their competitor near Stonecrest. The chicken wings were fried to a darker color, likely due to the use of oyster sauce, but they were flavorful and crispy. I'd recommend dining in if you have time--the bathrooms were well-lit and clean. When I arrived around 2 PM, I had missed the lunch rush, so it wasn't busy.If you do eat there, take some time to browse the market while you wait. They have a great selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, household items, and frozen goods like meatballs. Overall, the staff was friendly, and both the store and restaurant were clean.

I dined at Thai Phooket on Monday, April 5, 2021 at noon. Unfortunately, this visit will be my last. Although the menu offers most of the typical Thai dishes one would find in any Thai restaurants, it doesn't deliver in quality. The shrimp in my stir fry did not taste fresh. Even the filling inside the wontons of the wonton soup was not flavorful. Other dishes were either average or did not leave a lasting impression in my palate. Service was average. I would skip dining at this establishment and shop at the grocery store. You'll probably be able to cook a better meal using the ingredients you buy at the grocery section than eat here.

Located in a small strip mall just off Sam Ridley Pkwy, this is a store selling dry goods, fresh, frozen and canned food from a good number of asian countries. I recognized Thai, Lao, Chinese, Indian and Japanese products. The restaurant, which has a busy lunch period, is slower at dinner which means more attention can be paid to customers like myself. We were promptly seated, asked for drinks, and ordered appetizers before we were able to warm up the seats. Our young hostess jumped up and took care of us upon arrival, and her older sister (I'm guessing this is a family-owned business) took over to take our order and everything after that. The Summer Roll, known as Spring Rolls at most other places, were fresh with shrimp halves strategically spread throughout ($1 extra for shrimp, 2 rolls/4 pieces per order). The peanut dipping sauce was warm and definitely store-made, warm and rich. The Tom Kha soup was served in the traditional hot pot with a small cube of Sterno-like fuel to keep things warm. The soup was rich, with a very strong coconut taste and surprisingly strong lemongrass notes. On the borderline of too much lemongrass for my taste, but just right for my dinner companion. The shrimp were not overdone and were plentiful. I ordered medium spicy but it tasted like there was no spice, so I added some from the container on the table. The Pad Kee Mao was hot and fresh. It tasted good and came with no heat (as ordered). The chicken was sliced thin and cooked fast, so everything tasted fresh and not overcooked. The service was good. We enjoyed our visit and are sure we will return. The groceries seem on the high side of cost but we also found some items that were not commonly available that we would otherwise need to go up to Nashville to get.

My all time favorite Thai restaurant. The pad Thai, sesame chicken, veggie tofu soup, egg rolls, tiger tear salad...all of it ALL DELICIOUS. It's always fun walking through the connected market as well as checking out some unique imported food products.

All the food was delicious! Packed very neat and everything I asked for was in the bag. And my food was put on the table I provided. I was most pleased that the bag was left on the table. Thank you .

I used to love coming to this place, but not after today. Bought this and two drinks. I didn't check the date before I left because I haven't had this problem here before. But this expired 3 years ago, and one of the two drinks I bought was already opened and half drank.
