Appling Ballroom

This is a pretty new banquet facility located right down the road from Bellevue Baptist Church.A good place to hold a wedding reception, as it has two large ballrooms that you can rent for your special day. I like the fact that it's smoke-free -- double bonus, so you can actually taste the food that you're paying an arm and a leg for. I kid. Not sure of the food cost, but I am sure that you can bring your alcohol and you'll just need to pay the corking/pouring fees.The ballroom can accommodate up to 350 people for your big party.

I've been to two events at this venue. The first was when I worked at the newspaper and we hosted a banquet for high school students. The second was my high school reunion.I was very pleased with how smoothly both events went and how good the food was. They do their own catering, and the prices are very reasonable compared to many other similar places. The location is convenient - right off of I-40, just down from Bellevue Baptist Church. The building is lovely and very large. The main room can be subdivided for small events, however.

Regina PMy niece recently had her wedding here. We used the reviews to help guide us, and boy did we feel mislead. Ms. Francis is extremely difficult to reach after you pay her. The one and only caterer she uses is also her employer. After discussing the wedding plans with her , which included a fruit display, she added an additional fee the day before the wedding. If you plan on saving some money by doing things yourself forget it. You will be allowed in the place two hours the day before the event for rehearsal and two hours the day of the event. So, If you are not willing to cough up another large sum of money, you will need an army to help you get the place ready.

Location is convenient and dinner food (catered by Coletta's) was good. Other than that, I would not recommend this location. Many details were not addressed - some very simple details had to be gone over multiple times, venue was not ready when guests arrived, Price are reasonable. I would just recommend accepting the fact that they have a hard time getting their act together.
