Ameca

I've been patronizing this joint for the past decade or so. It's standard Tex-Mex grub, with nothing altogether that special about it. The service can be hit or miss. Based on the poor sanitation that I've observed, it isn't a surprise that the Health Department score is so poor (69 out 100).

The food is very good. The service is very good and friendly. They'll actually carry on a conversation with you. The ambiance is casual and fun. They make you want to come again.

We were very tired after driving all day. We got us a hotel and then were looking to get some food. We happened on Ameca after our first 2 picks didn't have inside dining. The last thing we wanted is to drive back to the hotel and eat in the room.What a pleasant surprise! I consider myself a Mexican food connoisseur of sorts having lived on the border in El Paso for a number of years and living other places that had great Mexican food. I got a Chile relleno that I have to say was fantastic. I got beans with it and the beans were even good. The Chile relleno tasted completely homemade, no weird funky tasting frozen stuff. A nice fried breading on it and not too "eggy." I wish this place were closer to where I live because I would definitely come back it was that good.

Food is fresh and good. Service they only have two waiters so they are always very busy but food is amazing.

We eat at Amecas every Sunday. We love the friendly staff, yummy food, prices and service. Their salsa and chips are always fresh and yum. I love the grilled chicken burrito with a side of pico de gallo. The Tavo Dip and Ranchero Special are other faves. They recently got a new mini special menu that includes fish tacos--- gotta try those soon. My husband loves their tamales.

Great food, great service (dining in or to go) & the prices can't be beat!!!!!! You would b missing out if u didn't eat here!!

This place looks nice and clean but the food we had was awful.The taco meat was literally the worst I have ever had.My girlfriend's chile relleno was not battered and literally covered in 2 inches of greasy cheese.The beans were very good, cooked down like I like them.

Food is always good. Service has been quick and the wait staff is always attentive to the customer's needs.

Friendly staff, except one guy, good food, average pricing. The atoms is inviting and one of the cook has a great voice when he is singing in the kitchen! Love this place. Frequent patrons
