Made a reservation for Valentine's Day. When I arrived there was a line of other people with reservations waiting for tables, well past their reservation times. No front host or hostess. The servers were doubling as the front staff. We were eventually sat at the bar until a table was open for us. Bartender was friendly and helpful.The drinks were well made. We had the Goldie likes, the alchemist, and an old fashioned. For dinner we ordered the Frites, the Brussels sprouts, the truffle Mac and cheese, the pan seared sirloin plate, and the duck confit. Unfortunately none of the dishes were made right. The frites were fried well but was supposed to come with a chili aioli, and instead we were served just ketchup. The Brussels sprouts were bland, had no seasoning, and missing the brown sugar vinaigrette. The truffle Mac and cheese was extremely cold, not creamy, slightly burnt, and absolutely NO truffle at all. The pan seared sirloin was served COMPLETELY cold and an extremely small portion. The asparagus was barely cooked. The citrus from the asparagus seeped into the smashed potatoes giving it a sour tang. And the Steak, while cooked perfectly medium rare, was extremely cold and was completely bland. No salt. No pepper. Nothing else for flavor (garlic butter or etc). The duck confit was the only thing that came out hot, but was also missing the brown butter sauce. When we asked for the sauce, they simply gave us melted butter with brown sugar in it - nothing that resembled the sauce in any of the other review photos. We found out they were having kitchen issues and were at least an hour behind. But everything was cooked well, just missing vital flavor components and were served cold. So it was hugely disappointing. We ended up barely snacking on anything but the fries, boxing everything up, and adding the missing components at home and eating it much later than planned that night. I will say the 3 servers we saw covering the entire restaurant were nonstop moving, hustling and doing their absolute best. It's hard to want to go back and give it a second chance on a normal non-holiday weekend, but if I do, it will be cause of the waitstaff.
