A-Tan Chinese Restaurant

Once again an incredible experience at ATAN, as always. The bartender is so kind, she is incredibly courteous and welcoming. I love their hibachi, Sushi, soups, rices and ESPECIALLY the ginger dressing! Great atmosphere for celebrating or just having a casual night out.

Good service, good food, and clean. Good lunch specials. Opens at 11. The place is kind of hidden in the back of a shopping center.

RIP OFF! Customer Service DOES NOT exist in this place. They are RUDE on the phone and they keep putting a lady to take orders over the phone who can't hear and constantly hangs up on you.Last time I dined there, the manager was on FaceTime with her daughter, passing the phone around and talking loudly across the whole dining room. I didn't come here to pay money (overpriced) to be listening to their gossip.Today was the last straw - I will NEVER return here. They lost my business, my family business and everyone I know....They took off Masago off of he California Roll, which is the only reason my kids would eat it. I ordered FOUR and no one told me that they no longer put Masago on. When I called to complain about my kids' dinner, they guy was beyond rude and told me to bring it back to get money back. Because I have one hour to waste to go there and back during the heaviest traffic for THEIR mistake. There was NO apology, no credit, no any kind of accommodation- I AM DONE!!!Their sushi is not even that good- I only went there for my kids, but now I'd rather get sushi at H‑E‑B for them than return to this hell hole.OVERPRICED POOR QUALITY SUSHI AND NASTY ATTITUDES! BYE

It is one of those always reliable place Have been going to A-Tan for over 20+ years, always a pleasant experience, the standard and quality of food have always been reliable If you are suffering from cold-sinus go try their hot & sour soup it will fix you right up. Almost any dish you try will be the reliably good

We ate off the Chinese menu. The service is pretty good and the place is tidy, but I couldn't get into the food. I had the hot & sour soup, crab Rangoon, and vegetable lo mein. Pretty basic stuff. It was just ok. I know everyone is loyal to their restaurants, but this wasn't it for me. At least it wasn't terrible!

I visited this restaurant yesterday, 09/11/2024 for lunch. The place was almost completely empty. I was seated and then waited for several minutes before the server even came over to me. Apparently, they had to finish talking amongst themselves before any work could be done. I had Chicken Broccoli, egg drop soup and an egg roll off the lunch special. The soup and egg roll were terrible. The soup had the consistency of motor oil. The egg roll was cold and tasteless. The Chicken Broccoli was warm but not cooked thoroughly at all. It also had no flavor whatsoever.It was my first and last visit.

What a wonderful place! The staff and food are incredible!! The atmosphere is very soothing and they give you great portions along with exquisite taste and great service. In over 20 years as a patron, this place has never missed! Highly recommend as the best hibachi place in Memphis and surrounding areas!

We've been going to Atan since it opened in Dillard Square. They've always made home cooked Chinese in a sit down setting and have to be one of the most reasonably priced restaurants in town. The added a Hibachi/Sushi side some years back and we enjoy all of what they have to offer. Great flavor and consistent food over decades of being open is all one could expect from them.

We have been going to A Tan for years. Tonight will be the last until my memory fades. New management = higher prices, lesser service (two meals ordered; one arrived 10 minutes after the other). The new receipts do not tell what was on the bill - ?!?!?! BUT they DO add 18% automatically.Maybe if you stay away they will get the message. We hope.

The food is very good here, always quality. Recently the portions have gotten smaller but I believe it's because they don't get enough business here, but friendly staff and I highly recommend the chicken hibachi. Please go here!
