We've been here twice in the past month. Our first visit was great. Sushi was perfect, service was good, there were just a couple minor complaints. The second time felt like throwing money in a toilet. Sushi was close to room temp, service sucked bottom, and there wasn't much to like about the whole experience. Our first visit was on a weekend evening and the second was midday during the week. Not sure if that makes a difference, but if we return it'll be in the evening, and probably a wknd night.Assuming the weekend experience was closer to their norm, I'll focus on that for the purpose of describing the food and whatnot. First, the good:-The wait time for a table was reasonable. We didn't visit the hibachi side, which looked to have a long wait, so I can't speak for that. -The staff wore masks and there was plastic dividing each booth.-Sushi was delicious! We ordered avocado rollsmoked salmon roll, spicy crunch crab roll, Alaska roll, and shrimp tempura roll. The clear standouts were the spicy crunch crab and the Alaska roll. -Service was good. It was a young man who was polite and quick.Now for the meh:-Bathroom smelled like no one has flushed the toilets since the place opened. I don't know what the issue is, but they need to take care of it. There was a little air freshener thing on the counter, but it did nothing to cover up the stench. Fix your plumbing!-Miso was disappointing. One of my kids liked it. Two of us didn't. The kid who liked it eats questionable non-food items all the time, so I don't pay too much attention to his recommendations. He doesn't even have a yelp account.-We ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer. The server repeated that back to us twice: when we ordered and when he brought the food to the table. And yet, what we got was a shrimp and vegetable tempura appetizer. Two pieces of shrimp and, you know, veggies. This felt like bait and switch since the pic in the menu showed a plate of all shrimp, and there was both shrimp tempura appetizer and vegetable tempura appetizer listed in the menu. Seems like their attempt to save money. I could have saved my money by not ordering if I had known they wouldn't bring what we ordered, though. This is the kind of annoying crap that really irritates me. Take note, don't do business like this.As for the service during our second visit, the lady clearly didn't want to be serving. She was rude, we had to ask multiple times for basic items (small plates, etc.), and then she sat at the bar watching videos on her phone. I mean, maybe she's the owner and that stuff works for her. It was unpleasant for us.Four stars because of our first visit.

Came here for a birthday lunch, ordered hibachi chicken and shrimp, and a Thai bubble tea. My spouse had the steak hibachi and two rolls of sushi. The food was delicious and will definitely return for more another time.My main issues were with the customer service. If anything needs to be improved it would be that. I always look at the menu prior to going to the restaurant to get an idea of what I want, so I'm usually prepared and ready whenever everyone else is; however spouse wasn't ready when the waitress came by but we ordered anyway because she made us feel like we *had* to order right then and there. Because of this, we're not quite sure what two rolls we ordered were--one was the Boston and the other was Queens(?). I don't know. I was also going to get a house salad but didn't get the opportunity to order it.At some point she brought us some cream cheese wontons that we certainly did not order with no explanation, so we were extremely confused and thought that maybe it came with the sushi lunch he ordered? It turns out that it didn't, but we ate it anyway because well, we thought it did and I'm not about to waste food. I also did not get my bubble tea until after I was finished with my meal and had to remind her that I ordered it. I honestly don't think she rung it up originally because after she yelled across the room she went to the computer to add it. It took several minutes to get that and then we sat there for at least ten minutes waiting for our check and to go boxes as she sat down and used her phone.I admit that I probably could've spoken up about the wontons and bubble tea, but if the service was better it wouldn't have happened in the first place.

This is highly rated by many here in Columbia, but honestly, the food was average at best, compared to other places I have lived. It probably is a 5 star for here in Columbia, but in general for Japanese steakhouse experience it's average at best.

Went with some close friends and our families for my 30th birthday.The food was AMAZING and the kids had a blast!Amazing customer service!I was nervous being from south Florida and eating hibachi in middle TN, I was not disappointed!!!

We ordered egg rolls and shrimp vegetables tempura appetizer which is good, tempura can use a little bit of salt but I do like their tempura dipping sauce that come with it. I ordered their steak teriyaki bento lunch box came with miso soup, 2 shumai, california rolls, orange fruit, white rice, I do like their teriyaki sauce and steak is very tender they cooked it as per order which I ordered medium well cam out good. My husband sesame chicken also came with soup and fried rice, and he was happy with his order and the chicken came a full plate with separate fried rice in smaller plate. Their bubble tea is good just need a little bit more sugar. Service is good and fast, friendly server and always check on us. Overall we came home with full belly and will come back again someday when we're at Columbia.

Do not eat here. Besides the restaurant being dirty which we noticed after the fact of sitting , we watched the guy buss the table but sit the side of unused sauce to the side instead of dumping in buss bucket with everything else. Why?!! then my husband went and used the men's restroom which he came and said I suggest you not go to the women's ..then when food came the lady was basically pushing the plates in my faceTo pass them around the table bc she didn't know. Who ordered was what . On top of the rude service are food was cold and salty . It was not a pleasant experience and they didn't even try to make us feel welcomed or wanted there it was kinda like they wanted us to hurry up and eat andLeave . They were not busy at all maybe three tables seated. Don't eat here it was a waste of money and a horrible experience.
