501 Steakhouse

The wife and I went here for our anniversary on a Thursday evening. We arrived around 5:30 and we were seated quickly. There weren't many people in the restaurant when we ordered, so we got our food pretty quick. The service was prompt and very polite. I ordered the smothered chicken with sweet potato and jalapeño creamed corn. My wife ordered the blackened chicken pasta. We followed our meals up with bread pudding dessert and chocolate eruption dessert. The food was good, but I'm not entirely sure I would call it fine dining that merits some of the prices we paid. The bread pudding was also different than most I have had...not sure if I would get it again. This place is worth having at least once while being in Jonesboro. The ambiance is quiet but it is dimly lit. I saw many people using phone lights to see the menu. People have complained about a dress code but honestly, just wear normal clothes and you are fine. I agree with it.

We came here on a business dinner on a Wednesday night. There is plenty of parking and we were quickly seated as we had a reservation for 6. The place has an old ambiance which feels laid back. I was fine with a polo and jeans. We ordered appetizers and they were all good but the ahi tuna was out of this world. Probably the best I have had. I ordered the NY Strip and it came out perfect. I told them about my garlic allergy and they were sure to make certain that nothing I got had garlic. The service was excellent and there was live music as well that wasn't too loud but was entertaining.Would definitely come back.

We were traveling and wanted a good meal but was concerned about dress attire. Jeans were fine and it was a very relaxed atmosphere with amazing food! Bang bang shrimp and Aji tuna were delicious starters and my fillet was cooked to perfection. You won't regret dining here.

This place is just too pricey for what it is. Stay was way overwhelmed. Sat at the bar and it was busy. I guess because I'm not a local, I got treated a little different than everyone else. Took forever to get anything and she forgot to put my order in. Got a steak and a baked potato. Food was good, but it was chain store quality. Like a Colton's or something but, you are paying Ruth Chris prices.

Avery nice experience! The music was good, as was the food! And a very nice Manhattan didn't hurt!

How do you ruin a perfectly good steak filet? You char it until the blackened parts overwhelm any flavor that the meat once had. Color me unimpressed.

Had a delicious meal! The house salad with filet was perfectly cooked and filling. The goat cheese smash was delicious as well. Was very busy and would recommend getting a reservation on a weekend night!

Party of 2 and we left disappointed. My wife had the Ahi Tuna and the amount of pepper in the dish was unbelievable, we've had ahi many times from an array of restaurants so we know what to expect, but this was over the top. I had the tomahawk steak and the chef was once again very heavy handed on the seasonings, I am a person who likes seasoning, but the amount was ridiculous. Steak ordered medium rare and came out VERY rare. Didn't send it back due to the amount of seasoning I wouldn't eat it anyway. We were placed in a high traffic area and could hear the staff gossiping the entire time next to the kitchen window. Overall, the food and the ambiance made it an unpleasant experience and we will not be back, despite living in the area.

The Bang Bang Shrimp is always a hit (if it's warm). But other than that, everything else is a hit or miss. Steak is a 50/50 chance every time you go if it's going to be cooked correctly or not. For the price of this restaurant, the side dishes are so disappointing and if you stay close to your 2 hour time slot, they'll ask you to leave.

We love this spot! All the food was great and service was prompt. Tables feel a little too close to each other, but it's not too big of a deal. People tend to mind their own business. Getting a dessert and letting them know it's your birthday is fun because the candle is a great way to end your celebratory dinner. Will definitely be a regular here. Waiter was kind and prompt. Our drinks were always filled.
