This place is actually a series of eateries that vine here to experiment to see if the food concepts are viable.it's a food court with character & good food!!!!It was the second stop on a food/culture walking tour of Main Street in Memphis.Definitely worth your time to stop and East if you are a foodie!!

The venue manager was so sweet. She was so organized, catered to our needs, and on top of that she made us feel SOOO welcome. I've been to 2 weddings here and I would recommend it to everyone!

Much improved since a management take over and ensuring the empty booths were filled. Options range from dessert, cocktails, Mexican cuisine, Asian fair, salads, amazing pasta, spectator Dr Bean coffee, gelato and pizza. Hopefully, the momentum will continue from the great grand reopening.

This place had such potential, however it has not been recognized to this date. This place claims to be a food hall, but has only had a few vendors over the entire past year of being open... and several of those vendors left within months of building out their spaces... not sure why they left so quickly, but the fact that they did, alludes to an internal management issue perhaps... or maybe they just couldn't make money considering the place looks closed most of the time. Aside from the fact that it has no real signage out front or hardly any indication of being open at all on most days... often times the lights are either turned off or dimmed down to the point where you can NOT tell from the outside that it's even open at all. I personally believe in conserving energy or utilities... but at the very least they could put up a neon OPEN sign or something to indicate that they are open for business. Regardless of these issues, I believe in supporting local businesses and I actually come here 2 to 3 days a week... to drink in the evenings at the Civil Pour(which makes a bad ass Pisco Sour btw) and to have coffee at Java Cabana West(who makes my favorite mocha in all of Memphis)... and to work, while i enjoy the atmosphere of downtown Memphis on a comfy couch with my computer in my lap. Gosh this place had such potential... it's so sad. Over the year I've noticed that most of the vendors are NOT open, even in the middle of the day... i just don't understand the concept of a food hall with very few vendors in the first place and no one open...honestly, if it weren't for Java Cabana West being here, I'd have nothing to drink or even munch on... at least they offer some yummy snacks and an iced coffee. This week, new more ridiculous developments... now they have major construction happening in the middle of the day, while the food hall is supposed to be open... yet here it is at 1040am on a weekday and I'd love to get some lunch... yet no one is open and there is the offensive sounds of drills and saws constantly roaring through the air. Health code violation? Extremely bothersome environment today, why would they do this in the middle of the day? Not much about this food hall at 409 s.Main is making sense. The concept seemed to be on point, but the ppl in charge here have a clear inability to bring this to fruition. I feel so badly for the vendors here, who are no doubt financially struggling in this environment and I just really hate to see them all closed in the middle of the day and losing money for fear of health code violations, considering the construction going on around them during the middle of what should be a financially rewarding work day. Not only are vendors...many small businesses... enduring the cost of paying employees to work in this deplorable environment but also leaking revenue due to these negligent choices by food hall management. Very disappointing!

I bet the food is really good but I can't figure out how everything works. It is beyond confusing and can't even find menus. It's 1pm on a Sunday I tried to order the sandwiches but they are not open. I tried to order dumplings but they are out. It's really hard to figure out where I can order and what I can order.

I didn't know what to expect when I walked into this place. It's kind of like an upgraded food court. They have different food stands like a smoothie stand, Chinese and Mexican, along with a few others. I went to the Mexican stand and ordered a chicken tamale and chips with salsa and queso. The tamale tasted amazing and I'm glad that it was traditional and they didn't try to make their own spin on it. Being Hispanic myself I enjoyed that they stuck to what was already good on its own.The chips where excellent and you could tell the guy put time into frying them which I appreciated. The queso was perfect and the salsa had a nice kick to it which I also liked. My friends got the Chinese food and I heard it was very good as well. I would definitely come back here again if I ever come back to Memphis.

This event space is GORGEOUS. My best friend had her 40th birthday party here and it was a blast. This is the type of event space that I love to see parties thrown at.Three levels. Huge open space floor plan. Nice bathrooms. The gentleman who was the host all night was very helpful and friendly.I will just say this, although my girlfriend didn't have a problem with it, I will piggyback off of Jeff S.'s review and I will say that it is very inappropriate that the owner crashes the parties. I understand that he owns it, but if I pay good money to rent a space for a private event let me have my time.He came in pretty intoxicated and obnoxious. Was going on about his wife being mad at him and was requesting songs from her DJ.It's just bad business.

Gorgeous space! I've attended a few events here and love the loft feel of the place. There's nothing else like it in Memphis! Plus I love S Main. There is plenty of room for multiple bars, a band, a stage, and tables for a buffet. I also really like the different levels of the place - you can break it up nicely but still see everything (for the most part). From what I hear, the rental price is very reasonable...I'd love to host a party here and plan on it!

The best breakfast item on south Main, the coup de' flour, is a game changer. Made with the best biscuits around, its one to plan for. I will be back!

I can't speak to an event here because the event space appears to be great, from pictures, but I can speak to the service I received.I flew in town for 1 day to do wedding planning. This venue was my preferred location for the even, and I had talked to the owner multiple/coordinator multiple times via email and phone to book an appointment. I arrived 30 minutes prior to my selected reservation time, which was later in day due to her schedule, to be informed by the people at the bar there was noone at the venue that could show me the space. I certainly thought this was some mistake, and my contact must have stepped out to grab food and would be right back. That was not the case! The event coordinator had screwed up her appointment book, and was long gone from the venue. We gave her a call, explained how we flew in for this meeting & 1 day, and there was no sympathy. I then asked if someone else could show us the space, and she explained that was not an option. I was leaving town the next afternoon and had other wedding planning booked until that point, so I asked if she could show it first thing in morning at 7:30, before the event on Saturday arrived. Never heard back from her on that either. The lack of professionalism from this management of this building is truly astounding, and I would think twice before working with them for an event.
