1 Memphis Street

This place is absolutely gorgeous. According to the site, it used to be a cottonseed warehouse back in the 1930's and I was told it has been restored with items from the time period. That's cool to me, but the real draw for me are the doors which slide sideways. They have one set leading out onto the grass and two others leading to balconies which look out over the road. I also love the brick facade. They have a little kitchen area and only two or three stalls in each restroom since the place itself is on the smaller side. But it can fit almost 300 people.

I love all the details on this building. Everything has a story. Just about everything, even the men's urinal, is vintage. You can tell the owners take pride in what they have as everything fits seamlessly together. There's a great collection of artwork on the walls. I like that they had TVs here as it makes it easier to play slideshows. You can take great pictures both inside and outside of this place. Only downside is there's not a lot of parking or indication of where we can park for this place, This is a nice hidden jewel in the middle of Hernando.

We loved this venue! We decided to host our son's rehearsal dinner here after the generosity shown to his graduating class during their prom season. It was raining that day and they opened their doors for prom photos. Fast forward four years later and the venue was still as welcoming and beautiful as I remembered. The staff was amazing and easy to work with. The location is perfect. And the building is neat and clean. I would highly recommend 1 Memphis street for any event, especially a wedding.

We had the very best wedding here. Piet and Gina are some of the very best people to work with. They are not only very efficient, but also very genuine and caring. Piet was beyond helpful and made sure that I did not get overwhelmed. It was all the little details that they insured went well that made this place exceptional. The venue speaks for itself, its beautiful. I would definitely recommend this venue to host any event, but especially your wedding.
