Melrose Kitchen

I wasn't sure what to expect with this little restaurant but it was a very good experience left to right, top to bottom. I had the Chicken In Waffle and it was very good; not too sweet to overpower the chicken but I nice balance around the savory tastes. The pecans are a great addition. Excellent. The accompanying hash browns were good but left me wanting a little more salt in their experience. I had a side of bacon and that was cooked to perfection; just the way I like it. The service folks were very attentive and everyone was pleasant across the board. The musician playing acoustic guitar was a nice touch. It was a great addition to the ambiance of this charming little space.We'll definitely be back here the next time we're in Phoenix. This neighborhood has a little gem in the Melrose Kitchen.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this place is a must-go for rustic one-quarter-semi-upscale and stylish breakfast menu with excellent taste! I have an Asian stomach and I have to admit most of the traditional American breakfast places do not challenge my appetite enough for what's called well-flavored fantasy. And this place is my leathered daddy swooping for my off-guard Asian queen dramatic bougie-ness, with a Fking great taste!!!Girls, dunno what to get then get the chicken tender with waffles... It's like no other you had back there 'cause this mama knows your kinks! So so so adequately flavored with a mouthful of sweet meat juice once I had a bite and marinate it in my mouth... And note this! It's not overwhelming to one single bit but gave it to one better layer on top of just a simple chicken tender. They must have breaded that so specially well to have that juice soaked in so well. The nuts on top were such a plus as well!Pancake has chocolates!!! You know what this place is? It's Willy-Wanka new hijack on 2020s because this is another sweet hit for ya! And again not over-charming the pancake itself but gave the whole brealfast bland daily boredom to another view, another breeze in the late summer! You know what I should call this experience, Carly Rae Jepson in 2024. Yes they have a new menu compared to years ago like the old classic "Call me Maybe", but this time the Queen is back for the throne and it's giving you "The Loneliest Time" Mamamia! (Please listen to this song if you haven't it's so good)Alright...I better stop going too far or y'all just thought I'm some random fan of some random artist...Service is very accommodating and helpful. Get a booth for yourself it's pretty comfy! This is for me a 6 Stars experience and sadly I can't over-rate or I definitely would. Ciao!喜欢吃早餐的各位女士们先生们，看过来，这里，对，就是这里！你想吃好吃的传统美国早餐吗？看到我照片里点的了吗？就点这个！我没糊你，就点这个就对了！因为很好吃！炸鸡面糊不厚很好吃！鸡肉能吃出很有汁水的甜味！应该是早前先浸泡好的！所以味觉上层次感就出来了。是别的炸鸡根本不能相提并论的程度。松饼是巧克力的，我忘了里面有多少巧克力，但我依稀记得好像里面也有，如果没有的话当我没说！但是巧克力的味道很足！可以看出来是花了不少功夫在上面的创新式的早餐！美国早餐我一直没有太期待，毕竟说实话来来去去就那么几样。但如果你想吃到这种别具一格的餐品，请务必要来吃这家！而且服务也很好，环境也很那种小资传统美式餐厅的氛围。六星好评！

Very walkable restaurant in the Melrose district (?) Across from the rainbow crosswalk on glenrosa and central. I had the new York strip medium rare, eggs, and subbed hash browns for their fries. I came in for pickup. Everyone was so so sweet, and the building itself is so cute and cozy. They have live music also. As far as the food:Fries 0/10 very unseasonedSteak 7/10 unseasonedEggs 10/10 Everything was greatly priced tho. And I walked my food home and it was packaged perfectly and withstood the heat. I will try it again but something different next time.

Came at opening on a Monday morning. I believe I was the first customer of the day. Greeted and welcomed by the awesomely friendly staff. Ordered the Mascarpone Pancakes with banana and an OJ. Food came out promptly and tasted dang good! Accidentally stumbled upon this joint, but so glad I did! Great food and great service! Will definitely come back when in the area!

New Look, New Management and it was fantastic. I got the a la carte options vegan chorizo and croissant with strawberry Jam (pictured partially eaten as the smell made me dive in). I could not eat them fast enough. My Husband got the chicken and waffles which was chicken fried in pancake batter on a bed of hash browns. He said it was scrumptious. The decor is different as well and yhe music relaxing. Everything has such a nice vibe. Amber was our server and was very kind and attentive to our requests. We appreciated her responsiveness and grace. Another customer who left before us even said "Excellent Service!" To her as they finished their meal. Its not very busy now, and my only guess is that the neighborhood doesnt realize how much the menu has changed. Im honestly suprised more people arent here enjoying the food and reasonable prices. *New Owner and Management alert!What a gem here in the Melrose neighborhood. I drive past this restaurant everyday on the way to/from work, and I always treasure supporting local businesses. However, with the previous menu, there really were very limited options for my wife who is vegetarian. Needless to say, we were extremely excited to try out our brunch options with the new menu. We ended up ordering:Chicken and waffles, pork belly BLT, veggie burger, and mac & cheese. We both agreed that the food was phenomenal : )My pork belly was unctuous and flavored beautifully.I also appreciate the fresh fruit option, and last but not least, the portion sizes were fantastic for their price point. We're looking forward to our next meal here, as the space is lively and full of homey character

This place is AMAZING! Checked it out this past weekend with my best friend and we are definitely coming back. Great food and friendly service. The food was a bit of a wait but it's as fresh as we got our food, totally justified! Although I guess it's not usual because the waitress apologized for the wait. They also have a great ambiance. From the decor to the hip music they place just an all good all round place to grab a bite at.

Love this spot! The food was delicious and the owner is wonderful! We got the Chick"in" Waffles, Huevos Rancheros, and Porkbelly BLT. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were to die for. Each meal was cooked to order by the owner himself and well worth the wait! No cold fries or dry chicken here! I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. Each dish is a unique take on a classic. The ambiance is lovely with pictures of stars from the silver screen and featured local artists. Do yourself a favor and stop by, you won't regret it!

Lovely experience on every level. The food is tasty and made with fresh ingredients. The french fries are the best I've ever had and I have eaten a lot of french fries. Loved the way the scramble was presented in its own little pot. Adorable and delicious. Amber and Harmon were pleasant and welcoming. I don't often do reviews, but this place is pretty SPECIAL. Cool atmosphere, nicely lit without being glaringly bright.

Food had the French toast, eggs, bacon, and Chillaquillas Verdes - All very good!! Timing of food was off but worth it!Service was great!Ambiance - ole school diner!
