Horrible service I've waited for 30 mins even tho they said 15 mins wait and they keep saying another 15 mins they don't know how to handle drunk customers i don't recommend this karaoke zero out of 5 star don't waste your money in the Melody Karaoke & Cafe

We were feeling a bit tipsy so we wanted to do some karaoke. This one opened the soonest so we decided to come here. There was only 7 of us so it was $45/hour for a karaoke room. Once we got in, the guy took us to our room and explained the system to us. He insisted that we downloaded their app on an iPhone (the app wasn't available for androids), and showed us how to pick our songs there. We realized that there was a screen at the front of the room anyway that we could use to choose our songs, which was better and easier to use anyway. The app was super glitchy and you had to press "search" a few times before results would actually pop up. Honestly a better use of the app would be to use it to order food into our room instead of having to go outside to the counter to place our food orders. Not only that, but there wasn't even a food menu in the room so it was a bit hard to coordinate what foods we all wanted to get. Their song selections were okay. They would have popular artists but not have some of the biggest songs from them (how do you not have Welcome to the Black Parade or All Star???). It was lacking some Disney songs too, I think it really only had 2 of the ones that we searched for. There's a ton of Chinese songs and would be the first ones listed in the browse menu so I feel like this place is geared more towards Chinese speakers. We got hungry so we ordered the sweet potato fries, popcorn chicken, and fried tofu. We also got a pitcher of soju. The sweet potato fries and fried tofu were a bit dry, but the popcorn chicken was really good. It was nice and tender on the inside, and super hot. It was definitely the best thing that we ordered there.The room itself was pretty clean. We still had a ton of fun and the 2 hours flew by. There's some glowy lights inside the tables which creates that concert ambiance while everyone's singing. We found enough songs to cover the 2 hours that we booked and even put in more than enough in the queue. Nothing on their system warned us about the time limit so we had to keep track of our own time spent in the room. Checking out was pretty easy, we just went back to the counter to pay the bill, and that was it. A rocky start with figuring out the system, but afterwards the 2 hours flew by.

This is my first choice for my birthday party every year. The building is super cool inside and creates a fun vibe for a party! The first thing they do is bring a fancy fruit platter for the room. The yogurt soju comes in several flavors, all delicious. The karaoke is a great time and everyone is able to sit comfortably in padded seats! The staff will show you how to use the karaoke system so it won't be difficult to understand. It's the best place for karaoke in town!

Had a blast a few weeks ago with my friends from work at Melody Karaoke. My 3rd time there and some 1st time experiences for some friends that have never been to a gruop sing-a-long before. The super VIP room was amazing for all 25+ of us and felt real boujee and yet not expensive. EVERYONE had soo much fun! I will definitely be coming back soon with another party! Drinks, delicious and effective; room, freaking amazing decor; service +hospitality of the staff; top notch!!!

I really like the vibe of this karaoke bar! It has a neo-noir asian vibe. Feels like I'm in downtown shanghai or something. The speakers are pretty good and they have a decent song selection. I docked a star cause their app is so bad. Pro tip: you can make reservations over the phone. We were able to grab a room on Saturday night by calling day of.

By far one of the best karaoke spots in SD. Loved the vibe and all the workers were super nice to my friends and I. I'm so glad we stopped by today and celebrated my birthday there! We will be back soon :) Btw, the fruits were delicious and super fresh, I highly recommend them :)

Fun clean place to go for Karaoke. Been here two times within 5 months. I would have to say out of all the asian Karaoke places I have been to in over 25 years (LA, SD, and OC), this is the cleanest one with nicer furniture. Service - good for a karaoke place. They are nice and chill. Food/Drinks - we got complimentary fruits and ordered drinks. Can't really review on the food since we didn't order food. Karaoke - it is mainly in chinese. I went with people who are chinese but they can't read chinese... so we were able to get by after the employees explained the tech book on the wall. The hourly rate is cheap or comparable especially for how clean and fancy the furnitures are. Overall, recommend this place. My girlfriends and I love coming here. It's our new spot for Karaoke.

We love coming here with our friends! Drinks are good and not too pricey at least for going out prices these days. When you walk in they also give you a fruit platter which is awesome. Service was good, we had people coming in periodically for us to order things. We haven't had food here so I can't speak to the quality of that. This location is pricey though, over $56 an hour which I think is a lot. Also the song selection system makes it difficult to select specific songs that you might want; you have to wing it more and choose by artist. Thankfully they explained to us how to operate it. They gave my sister a little plushie for her birthday when we left which I thought was nice and cute. Overall we come back here as our go to spot since the rooms are nice for a big group and it has a fun atmosphere

I was a bit hesitant to go because of the reviews mentioning the system being in Chinese, but it was easy to figure out (less than 5 minutes!) and the staff was open to any questions and concerns. Food and drinks arrived quickly and everything was yummy! Can't wait to go back.
