Meehan's Public House - Downtown

Cute bar, friendly staff. I haven't had a meal I didn't like. Their chili is delicious! Everything tastes pretty fresh and dishes are very well made. Some dishes sound like an odd combo but it works! Truffle Mac and cheese is amazing and super filling. I can never finish it but that's not a bad thing. Burgers are great and the Shepards pie is pure comfort food.

I had expected more from an Irish Pub than what was here. In fact, except that there were some Guinness flags hanging around I wouldn't have even known it was an Irish Pub. We stopped for a beer, and there were plenty of choices. The bar area has plenty of seating and TVs for sports viewing. My beer was fine, but the atmosphere wasn't what I was looking for.

Downtown Atlanta while walkable doesn't have a lot to offer when the area comes to bars and restaurants to either kill time or visit through.Meehan's was able to somewhat satisfy my taste as i was needing to kill time ahead of a networking function across the street.Premier League Fans can be blessed that this is a watch party bar for most PL soccer games. This is an Irish pub so don't be surprised.My biggest test with an Irish Pub is if the Fish & Chips are a delightful meal to eat. Unfortunately this Irish Pub sadly didn't meet my expectations. The fried Fish was a bit soggy on the breading compared to other Irish pubs I've been to across the country. However, the food menu is quite diverse with other options if fish & chips aren't up your alley. Would I be avoiding this place just because the Fish and Chips were bad? Absolutely not. The beer selection (and mostly local) packs a decent punch if you're a beer junkie.And as an Irish Pub fan, I'll be willing to give the place another shot. Especially the other food options on the menu.

Nice looking Irish pub. Multiple tvs, dark wooden furnishings. The bar seats about 20. Arrived for lunch at 12:45, seating and service was immediate and a cold beer was close behind. Sat at a high top near the barHaving a spicy chicken sandwich with chips. There's a spicy sauce but what sets it off are the pickles. They make it very good. In fact I'm going to stay for one more Stella

I shared an evening with new and old friends at this spot! I ate the corned beef reuben, and it was wonderful! It's a nice spot to grab a beer, and there's live music as well! The service was quick, and nobody at the table needed anything. Will be back for sure

Second time at this pub. Customer service was excellent!! The server took our order and in less than 10 minutes we were served!! Of course we did beat the noon conference lunch crowd by about 10 minutes. The place filled up fast.Food was served hot and the portions were more than generous. The place was quiet and I love the historical movie significance with the bar scene from Sully filmed at the bar.I would always return if again in Atlanta.

I had been warned to avoid downtown as this is not a great walking city. They were right. My company secured a block of rooms at a nearby hotel and the food selections around here were meager at best. Meehan's was one of the few solid choices and they really delivered for me. The place was packed but I grabbed a seat at the bar and the two bartenders were busting their asses all shift pulling drinks and serving food to the counter dwellers. I had a nice black n tan and a huge plate of Shepherds Pie. Both were excellent as was the service.

We stopped by for a quick bite around 2 pm on a Friday. The service was fast and the food came hot. The hot wings, all flats, were crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside and LARGE. The best wings I've had since moving to Georgia. The Brussels were oversized as well, but a little awkward to eat due to the size and the sweet potato fries were on point.

The food is so good! We got the salmon, meatloaf and a burger. Everything was very tasty, came out hot and was well seasoned. We also got the bread pudding with ice cream. I highly recommend!Our server, Andrew, was very polite and helped us decide on our meal. He was quick to deliver our drinks and he kept them full. This is a great Irish pub!

If you're looking for a good Irish pub, this is the spot! The menu is packed with delicious options to choose from. To the point where I had a hard time deciding so I gave the server some choices and told him to choose for me and he certainly delivered! There are some traditional American items on the menu as well for more picky eaters. I had the shepherds pie and the lamb was perfect tender. You can tell they took there time on it. Portions are very hearty too! The ambiance is exactly what you would expect of an Irish pub. It was great. Services but a bit slow and didnt see too much of our server but they were busy and when we did see him, he was kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place to others. ALSO: you MUST get the bread pudding! I mean it! Its the best part!!
