Love all their gelato's. You can tell it's homemade. So smooth, thick and decadent All the flavors just pop out and you can really taste it. Locally owned and operated. Hand-Crafted one pan at a time with organic dairy and natural ingredients. Owners Fareed and Jennifer Al-Abboud are so proud to be in Tacoma and are loving it They've owned other locations at Bainbridge Island, West Seattle and Burien. My daughter and I used to go the Burien location. We love how they keep it small and quaint. Makes it feel comfortable and personal. Service is always great! Small $5.5 (1-2 flavors) Medium $7 (1-3 flavors) Large $8.50 (1-4 flavors). They also have pint sizes $16/$17. I've tried the almond, mango, hazelnut, pistachios and coffee this far and I have to say Bellisimo!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND‼‼‼

Cute gelato bar right in downtown Tacoma- a few tables inside and out. Stopped by right before a concert at the Spanish Ballroom! I tried an Affogato- espresso with vanilla gelato- I need a pick-me-up!! It did not disappoint- delicious!! My friend tried a pistachio gelato- I tried a bite- was phenomenal! Can't wait to come back and try more flavors!

Up until I tried this place, I was convinced I'd never find a gelato place as good as the one in my college town in new hampshire. Wasn't even dreaming about it.. until I stumbled upon Medzo Gelato serendipitously. When I say this place is good, I don't mean just taste! Everything from the quality of ingredients (organic & natural) to the friendliness of the owners.. this will quickly become your favorite dessert spot. They do their flavors really well (not too sweet and you can taste the natural ingredients) and they rotate flavors! They do a sweet rice one that apparently is what people come here specifically for. I opted for my classics: choco hazelnut and pistachio and was not disappointed. This pic is after a few spoonfuls because I couldn't wait! Space is super cute (small bistro vibes) and kept very clean. Parking is fairly easy on the street since there's a 90 min turnaround.

Omg!!! LOVE that there's a delicious gelato option in Tacoma again!!! I wish I could go everyday, but my work schedule sucks. Lol I've had the berry mix, hazelnut, pistachio, coconut so far and it's all on point.I went to this place when it was in Des Moines and glad that it's here in Tacoma. YUMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!! DOESN'T COVER IT. I like ice cream, but love gelato.

I love gelato and am so glad we finally have a spot here in Tacoma. This is a cute location downtown and I was excited to give it a try. They DO NOT offer samples and the owner told me they tried it "and people went crazy, and whatever the flavor says it is, that's what it tastes like!" Well kind owner, just limit samples to one per person! Anyway, wife ordered a small cone with hazelnut and pistachio and I got a medium cup with hazelnut and lemon sorbet. The gelato was delicious but I was disappointed with the tiny amount they gave me in the medium cup. Owner is CHEAP!!! My wife in her cone had much more than I got and she had the cheaper small size. Will come back (loved the gelato) but will order a cone!

We stumbled upon this place by luck as it popped up as a recommendation when I was searching for an ice cream shop I visited a few months ago. Upon seeing the reviews I just had to get a taste of the gelato myself. I went in on a Saturday midday and it was small but cute, some minimal music but no one seated. The older man behind the counter was nice and then I told him it was our first time in and he became even friendlier and explained how they make each flavor one pan at a time. I asked about the menu and he let me know the basics will always be there, 2 kinds of sorbets, usually chocolate and vanilla, one kind of nut flavor so this time was pistachio next time might be hazel nut or peanut, etc. he said the best way to know the flavors is to visit, or if you're far like I am, call ahead of time and they'll tell you. It's cool because you can get 1-2 flavors for a small cup, 2-3 flavors for a medium cup, and more for a large. Like more of the recent reviews state, there are no longer samples and it was explained to me it was because of the quality ingredients and cost. He did say however that the non-typical flavors might be the exception, they'll have a little sign in them to let you know, such as the white rice. I ended up sampling it and it reminded me of Mexican rice pudding or like a paleta de arroz, so I had to get it and salted caramel. So good. Overall I suggest it if you're in the mood for gelato, just give a call to make sure the flavor you want is available and stop on by.

The best! Literally. I enjoy their gelato more than any I had in Italy and I realize these are fightin' words.

Secret ingredient has got to be love! My appreciation for good gelato happened in Spain. Their gelato is as good, might even be better, than what we had in Granada, Nerja, Seville and Ronda! Great variety of both gelato and sorbet flavors.Cute interior, excellent service and great conversations with the owners who will proudly share their stories of their time in Europe while serving up happiness in the form of gelato.
