Very surprised to find such a place in relatively rural Alpine. It's a cut above typical Italian restaurants, although so is the price.Our overall dining experience was very positive; good food, good service and good ambiance. We"ll be back for sure.

On Mon. 8/12/24.. As soon as I walked in, I asked for a menu. The tall older waitress said "as soon as you sit down, I will bring you a menu. I said well I'm thirsty and I would like to order something to drink. She said .."Like I said, as soon as you sit down I will bring you a menu! I was standing at the bar waiting for my friends w/her kids. No one was there, except two people who already ordered. So.. I had ordered a hamburger. I did not like the Aioli sauce that was put on my burger. The nice younger blonde waitress was sweet enough to offer me a new bun. As I waited, the other older tall waitress (30's) w/long dark hair brought me the bun on a plate.. as she handed it to me she let go before I had a hold of it. The plate broke in small pieces on the floor. Half the toasted bun was on floor and she happened to grab the other half of bun before it landed on floor and handed it to me, and said "Here's your bun, picked up 2 pieces of the broken plate and very quickly walked off!" She didn't say, anything! She could have said "oh I'm so sorry, I will be right back to clean it up and I will get you another bun! She said NOTHING! As if it was my fault and she seemed annoyed! As soon as she walked away my friends small child walked straight over to all the broken small pieces and picked up a piece of the glass plate. We asked her to put it down before she gets hurt. It took at least 10 min. for her to have the younger waitress to come sweep up the rest! By the way.. the hamburger was way too salty! I couldn't eat it.. brought it home. My son n law tried it and the first thing he said was.. I can't eat it .. it's way too salty! Needless to say I won't be back! She was rude and bossy!

Finally visited this establishment while we were in town. We were greeted by a friendly hostess on a very busy night. Waited about 10 minutes before we got to our table. We ordered the ahi appetizer, Tropicale salad, calamari friti and chicken fettuccine. All were excellent, especially the ahi. The presentation of this dish was so creative. Fast, friendly service and excellent dishes. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the East County.

We were driving through and so happy that we found Mediterraneo. We came in around 4pm and we're able to be seated right away. The in side ambiance is so quaint and intimate. The staff working was SO NICE! Very cheery and I really loved seeing how well they worked together to help each other. And can't forget the food. So good! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was perfect. The Mac and cheese was very creamy and I liked that nothing was overly salty. Serving sizes were ample, we both had left overs in which they boxed for us. Topped off the evening with a shared pumpkin cheesecake. If we're ever back in the area I would def come back.

Always trying to go to new places... We landed in Mediterráneo after driving 22 minutes each way. Food was average, nothing really that stands out. But this is okay depending on what you are going for. Ambiance: we sat outside and it was comfortable. Again, nothing special just average. Service was okay. I don't think the place was that busy but the service was less than average for what I have experienced in other places. I am glad we went there and try it out. Will I be back? Not really. Remember, the entire experience for us was just okay but when we go out to dine we are looking for amazing. If you are in the area, please try them out. Happy meals!

We had calamari as an appetizer & for dinner, Lasagna with an order of meatballs. It was so delicious. The portions were large enough that we had enough for dinner the next night. The service was good too & the outdoors atmosphere was pleasant. Highly recommend!

This place was recommended by a friend. All the food in the pictures was what we shared. Each item was amazing. Rating 10/10 from the staff to the cleanliness and the waitress Daisy was amazing. I have recommended this place to several people already. There is nothing like a home cooked authentic meal.

I truly love the food here - the issue is the service - we entered at about 4:50 on a Saturday fully prepared to drink and eat for at least $250 - unfortunately the staff just didn't check on us - a table of 2 who seemed to be important to the establishment - arrived and the wait staff ignored us - then, a party of seven arrived and by then our appetizer had settled and the lack of attention inspired us to leave and finish our meal elsewhere - it's really too bad as we love the location and ambiance - but the lack of service is not ok

Greatly reduced their menu during COVID eliminating some of my favorites and haven't recovered.

First time here. Food was amazing and the staff were awesome. Had the spinach ravioli with mushroom sauce. Spot on! Everything coming from the kitchen looked great. The Mac n cheese was super good. I will go back..
