Love this place. Closest thing in Phoenix to a Midwest dive bar vibe. Great daily specials on both food and drinks. Staff is always super nice and friendly.

Came in to McKenzie's to watch the diamondbacks game, and have a bite. The service was nice, we picked our own seat and the person who checked our ID at the door brought us water right away while our waitress came. We ordered the But it's a dry heat burger that came with jalapeños which was really good, it had a nice kick to it. We also ordered the honey hot wings which are my favorite by far! The taste is literally what you hope for when you order honey hot. The place is a bit small, I can see it being full or busy on big game days. Good place to watch some sports though.

Went here one night last weekend. This is definitely a locals hang out. Brightly lit up with colorful lights and decorated with old license plates from all over. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Most importantly they had a sour among other tasty options for both food and beer. My boyfriend and I IPA. We decided to eat, I chose a cheeseburger. The bartender asked how I wanted my burger cooked, pink or no pink. I like mine between moo-ing and moaning, so pink was perfect. I must admit my bottom bread was a bit hard, but other than that it was good. My boyfriend also chose a burger and he had no complaints. The bar had 90's music trivia going on. Which looked fun and had many participants. Right after, they had karaoke. Everybody was having fun and we're thankful this little hangout is so close. The parking lot was full and cars were lined up along the street, but that didn't deter us any and we had a good time.

My friends and I we're in the mood for cocktails and light bites to warm us up after viewing the Holiday Lights Parade that passed in front of this establishment, so we went in and were promptly seated even though the place was packed. The Tavern always looks festive both outside and inside, and the clientele was quite lively and animated. I ordered a peach martini, which was delicious, and also fried cheese curds which paired really well with the cocktail and even got the approval of my friend from Wisconsin who is pretty picky about cheese dishes. Overall a really good bar experience - good crowd, good food and drinks, good service, good prices.

Second time stopping at McKenzie's and everything about it was amazing! My girlfriend and I will definitely continue coming back. The food is great tasting, the waiters were nice and extremely helpful. If you need some where to catch a game or just have a nice beer McKenzie's should definitely be on your list of places to try!

Food is still delicious AF. Great atmosphere, fast, and friendly service. My past reviews have held strong. Come on down to McKenzie's for a fun night of drinking, and bomb bar food. PS the green tea shots were delish! Tried and true bar.

Kim the server was amazing! One of the friendliest staff I've ever met. She welcomed us in for our first time and was attentive even though she was buzzing around the place. This bar is awesome! It's dark in there and has license plates, Xmas lights and fun things on the wall. Plenty of TVs for sports watching. There's even a breathalyzer on the wall just to check yourself before you leave ;) j/k. People like to ride here since it's right off the canal/bike path. We saw motorcycles, scooters, and bicycles parked out front. We were exploring PHX on the canal path doing a scooter ride on our ruckus and monkey. The happy hour is good prices and the food we tried was tasty. We split a Ruben with tater tots. We also bought a bag of the house made jerky. It had a nice spice and heat! If this place was in our neighborhood we would easily be regulars here but since we are in Tempe we will just come back when on our rides. Really fun place!
