My parents chose to dine here on a Thursday evening. The place was pretty packed but there were tables open. We were sat right away, but didn't get to order anything until 20 mins after. I kept track because I sent a text to my husband at exactly 6:03 so I could see the time lapse. I even asked the gal with the water pitcher to have someone come take our order. Once the waitress came and thanked us for our patience, we ordered combination plates, which I know isn't very traditional...let's start with the salsa.We all disliked it. It was sweet and bland, no spices, no kick, nothing. The tortillas were heavily fried with a touch of rancid oil. My husband and I came in on a weekend once for their happy hour and the spicy bean dip and tacos we got were great, so to go from that to crappy fried food was a big let down. My rice was mostly stale, my flautas were so fried they kept breaking, and my mom's enchilada looked like a nasty Taco Time burrito. My stepdad's taco was reminiscent of a Del Taco 50 cent taco. Whatever. The queso appetizer was runny and liquidy and took over 20 mins to thicken up, but by then, we were done with our meals.Overall, we left disappointed and now we are all suffering from acid reflux so there's that.

We came to Puyallup from a 13miles run and this was our last choices since our first choice was closed. Portion was great though. Taste is mehh... drinks we ordered is more like full of ice than alcohol. Anyways, this is what happened when u go for a franchise restaurant. Very disappointing.

This place is pretty clean.Hostess and servers were well dressed and they were quick with everything. The service was great...The food wasn't.It was just...bad.The salsa seemed like it was hot sauce on veggies. The chips were nice and hot, a bright point.It was all bland and flavorless. The chile rellenos had seeds?Crab enchiladas are maybe not the best route...Maybe the kitchen was short staffed?IDK, but the food just wasn't good.Great staff though.

My wife and I have been going here for over 10 years without an issue, and that's been reflected in our many many visits and generous tips. In our most recent visit, however, I found I was chewing on a small fragment of steel wool while I was enjoying the free chips and salsa. I could have been in for a huge hospital bill and possibly even died at my age! I've been in the restaurant business for over 5 decades. NEVER USE STEEL WOOL IN YOUR KITCHEN FOR ANYTHING. I know it makes short work of any cleaning task, especially a deep fryer, BUT THE RISK IS SIMPLY TOO GREAT! Now I know first hand.Not sure if I will ever return.Why take a chance?

Had lunch w/ a friend. Food was OK. Had a mixed drink. I guess they forgot to add the liquor. Server/hostess was on her phone mostly and when she wasn't she was rude and acted like she was doing us a favor by helping us in any way. Place was dead. I see why. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Unless you want to be ignored and talked about by staff

So disappointed. We always come here for special occasions. We made a reservation and we showed up and they forgot. And continued to seat other people in front of us. We asked for a manager and the manager never cane to speak to us. So sad we used to love it here but the customer service is horrible.

First time at this restaurant and don't typically review. The place was hot and stuffy with no air circulation. The wait staff were pleasant and responsive, but didn't really acknowledge my complaint about the unusually hot plates. Typically Mexican restaurants will bring out hot plates but their plates were scorching hot, like boiling water hot. You could feel the heat emanating from the table of plates that couldn't be touched for several minutes. One of our kids was burnt after touching their plate accidentally. . Hot enough if it fell on your lap or a child fell forward, they would be burned. Food quality wasn't great. Chicken was over cooked, tasteless and chewy with way too much cheese melted on top.

Went in today for there Taco Tuesday special in the Bar with 2 friends and my wife , we have been coming to this restaurant since they opened.My wife doesn't drink very much these days as she is trying to improve her diet but the rest of us ordered drinks and then ordered our food but our server refused my wife's order because she didn't order alcohol or soda, we also talked to the manager and he confirmed unless she ordered a drink she cannot be served.This seems wrong so we left and will not be back , there are many other great options to eat in downtown Puyallup.
