This lovely place is by far my favorite cafe and hang out spot in San Diego. They promote health and wellness with their assortment of delicious Cacao (raw chocolate) blends, wonderfully unique food menu options, and heart-felt community events that they host (such as their monthly Cacao Circle). The entire staff is comprised of wonderful souls who provide excellent service with positive energy. When talking to the employees you can expect authentic smiles, contagious laughter, knowledge on their product, and uplifting conversation.It is a beautiful community that flows through Maya Moon Collective. The space seems to attract liked minded souls who share similar intentions of bringing value to others. Some of us regulars refer to the space as a "portal" because of the positive transformative qualities it offers to guests.I AM extremely grateful for May Moon Collective and what kind of energy this business has brought to the Normal Heights Community. I initially came here thinking it was a coffee shop. They do have coffee but primarily service teas and cacao drinks. I have never had a cacao drink so decided to give one a try. I option for the Mind + Body drink. Cacao drinks have a similar texture to a thick hot chocolate, but without the overly sweet heaviness. I really enjoyed the cacao with the lavender of mind + body drink. I also added their homemade marshmallow which help balance the richness and earthiness of the cacao drink. The vibes were also perfect. Lots of natural lighting, great music, and the decoration just felt so energizing and restorative. I will definitely return to try out their teas and do work in their space!

The aroma of freshly baked goods tantalized my senses as I eagerly made my way to the bakery, enticed by the promise of sweet indulgence. Yet, upon arrival, a jarring sight greeted me - the doors firmly shut, a stark contrast to the advertised opening hours. Disappointment washed over me, mingling with a sense of betrayal. How could they betray the trust of loyal patrons? The anticipation of savoring their delectable treats turned sour, leaving a bitter taste of broken promises. With a heavy heart and an empty stomach, I departed, left to rue the missed opportunity for culinary delight. Horrible start to the day trying to get Mom Mother's Day gluten free pastries at 745am on a tight timeline when they are closed, and supposed to be open at 7am. Not much more disrespectful from a shop than not respecting customers time.

We got a Mexican cacao and two frozen hot cacaos. They were both tasty I prefer the Mexican cacao.

Oh Maya Moon and the MANY delicious cups of tea I've had here.. where do I even begin? This is such a gem of a spot; a space that emanates peace, radiates light, brings forth serenity, and serves as a place to create, sit in peace, and engage in beautiful conversation with both friends and strangers alike. I love how there is such a wide variety of community-centric events; from women's entrepreneur meetups, to poetry workshops, and even miso-making classes. SO COOL!I love how so much intention and mindfulness was put into the design and layout of this place. From the peaceful ambience, to the yummy menu options, and the kindness and grace of the staff, Maya Moon holds such a special spot in my heart.Maya Moon is a beautiful cafe that I HIGHLY recommend to all folks, travelers and locals alike, that are looking for a beautiful place to spend a few moments or several hours at.

Maya moon collective has unique and healthy options. I love how they have health ingredient options in their cacao drinks like adaptogens, maca, etc. I tried the mind + body cacao this day and I really like it with the marshmallows. The honey marshmallows are so good and taste natural. The cacao is more like liquidy melted chocolate rather than a typical American hot chocolate you'd think of. I know other countries do "hot chocolate" this way. The service is great. The staff is attentive, kind, and friendly. The ambiance is very clean, bright, and natural. There is outdoor seating as well. I'd like to try more of their menu since they have so many great options. The music is a bit loud for studying in my opinion, but this would be a nice place to catch up with friends.

What an awesome place to go get some awesome healthy beverages.Have been here over a dozen times, and to some classes put on my other groups.So fun and refreshing to get a nice hot cacao even on a hot day. LOLThey have great desserts and cater to all crowds, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and you have a choice to sit in the patio behind or inside. Bathroom are clean and spacious for the 2 they have.The only downside and no fault of theirs, is the Adam Ave parking debacle. Which will never go away, if you get lucky seeing someone pulling out within a half mile radius grab it quickly otherwise you will drive around for 30 more minutes wondering why you didn't take it. :-)

Came here as my other go-to coffee spots were packed and so glad to discover this gem! Spacious, inviting space with plenty of seating indoors & outdoors. Staff was friendly and shared recommendations based on my preferences (strong coffee taste, not too sweet). I went with the Magic Coffee ($7.77), which had a robust coffee taste with subtle Ayurvedic spices, and moist Cranberry Cacao Muffin ($4) with bursting tangy cranberries & mild cacao flavor. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience journaling/ reading here and would definitely return for their unique menu options, tranquil atmosphere, & seating availability!

Very cool spot. The vibe and aesthetics are incredible. The service was great. The gentleman at the counter knew just about everything about their whole menu, but also the origins of where they source their drinks from. I was told they get the cocoa from Ecuador, which just so happens to be one of my favorite places on Earth. I really hope they will one day sell cocoa pods as I've never seen them sold in the states before. Their hot chocolate was incredibly rich and full of robust flavor. Incredibly delicious.A little expensive for my liking. I'm not well versed in the holistic take on food and drink so maybe that's why. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend trying out Maya Moon!

Absolutely love this space-- can't go wrong with any of their cacaos or aryuvedic concoctions and snacks. The ambience is lovely and inviting and open. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Additionally, LOVE their moon flower-- NA drinks and night time vibes.
