This is a really cool place on Mill Avenue. I love the decor! There are a lot of interesting things to see on the wall, some anime on the TV, a bar, and paper lanterns. Even the cups water was served in had anime scenes. There was a sign saying to seat yourself. There is a QR code on the table which links to the menu and opens up an account for your table. After you order you can either pay your tab on your phone then, or leave your tab open to order more. When your done, just open it up on your phone and pay. I only saw one person working in the dining room, and all she did was quietly bring out food, then clean tables. It was fast, easy, and efficient! We ordered the crispy gyoza, which was served with a spicy sauce. I'm a huge fan of gyoza, and I really liked this sauce. We also ordered the Japanese red curry with pork "bowl." The word "bowl" was misleading (in a good way)--it came on a large plate and was a huge serving. I don't like curry, but my son loved it.We also got a dragon roll. It was pretty big, and very good. Presentation was good, too.We quickly became fans of Matsuri Izikaya, and I can see us being regulars here.

Trust Yelp y'all! I was on the fence because of the lower rating on Yelp vs the higher rating on google review, but Yelp was right -- this place is pretty mid. Ambience is cute, and the ordering on your phone is convenient. The menu looked extensive so we were excited to try a bunch of things. We ordered five different items and nothing stood out well. Quite the opposite actually, things stood out poor. The takoyaki was burnt and hard to bite though. The ramen was bland and had pork belly that looked like it was boiled with no color nor char to it. The karaage was more deep fried bits than actual chicken. Also, feels like they don't run their AC? We were sweating while eating our food inside :( I would avoid this place. Maybe for just drinks it would be a vibe, but for food it's not.

We went back to matsuri a week ago to satisfy our ramen craving & was pleasantly surprised this time around! Now that we know the restaurant is self-serve, we walked straight in (no wait at the time), sat at a table, scanned the QR code, ordered our food, & grabbed some drinks. The food came out fairly quick & was so delicious! Very happy that this experience was much better than the first & the AC was working!

My boyfriend and I have been here a couple times and we had good experiences for both times. The food was good but I didn't completely love it, I feel like it was missing a little something. The service was great overall and I loved the atmosphere.

The restaurant reached out to me and clarified that the raw tuna and seaweed salad is free when the meal (as opposed to a la carte) is ordered. They need to clarify what the side dish is because not everyone wants raw fish from an AZ restaurant in July. At least it's good to know it wasn't from someone else's order. Still, I threw it away. Also, the menu says the meal includes pickles, but none were included, not even pickled ginger, so that's confusing as well.

I was here around 6:30PM. You walk in, seat yourself, and then scan for the menu at your table, and then self-order on your phone. You can pay on your phone when you finish- or even when you are ordering. We were greeted and given water once we sat down. Pretty casual atmosphere with low and high top tables. They do have a waitlist available on Yelp. And they are open until 9:30PM.We ordered the Samurai Ramen with shrimp tempura and an extra egg and the Miso King Ramen with chicken casu, crispy tofu and bok choi. Our food arrived within 10 minutes and it was nice and hot. Both dishes looked delicious and they were. Fantastic broth in both ramens with large, fresh shrimp. The eggs were done perfectly. We did not order drinks but they do offer some alcoholic beverages. For two Ramen soups with extras, tax and tip, it was $53.81. The Ramen itself was around $16.00, a little high for ramen, but it is a restaurant on Mill. And once they charge for extras- bok choi is $1.20, shrimp tempura is $4.50, an extra egg is $1.20, it does add up. That being said, I would go again- just not everyday.

This was such amazing experience! As soon as you walk in there are two large TVs over the bar and they are playing anime! Once you are seated your server will go over how the restaurant works. You will need to make sure that your phone is charged but you will order everything from your phone! You will scan the QR code and order away! There is a water and silverware station on the corner of the restaurant. And next to that is a fridge that has desserts and other snacks/treats. The pictures attached is all of the food that we ordered from Katsu chicken to ramen and then some yellowtail sushi tacos! Everything came out in a timely manner, and it was delicious. They were in smaller portions, but that made it easy for us to try everything that we wanted to!!!! 10/10 would recommend going back to this place!!!!

Overall, a great atmosphere! Great vibes, anime, running in the background,. There is often await given it's a pretty popular restaurant, but staff is friendly and prompt. A lot of it is self-service, for example, you get your own water and utensils on the side. We've been here a couple times at this point and love coming back to try new dishes.Pork katsu: generally, I am a huge Katsu fan. I really like Katsu with good texture and crispy outside. This hits the spot. The curry sauce was well flavored as well.Pork belly Udon: noodles were soft, well cooked. And udon broth had great flavor! The pork belly was a little dry, but overall a great dish.Shoyu ramen: a classic take on a classic dish. Broth was well flavored and the egg was perfectly soft boiled. I'm typically a thick noodle kind of person, but the thin noodles worked well here as well as the udon, the noodles were also soft and good texture

The service was really nice, you can order yourself and checkout yourself. They're also good about filling our water. Ambiance was nice and clean. The food was good but nothing special in my eyes and a bit pricey for me plus you had to pay extra to make it spicy. Parking can be difficult because they are located on mill. Still a cool place to check out! Wish I got to try some sushi

If you like sushi, and I mean ACTUALLY like sushi, then this is definitely worth checking out! Their nigiri is some of the best I've had, and it's closer to a traditional style. If you have social anxiety when it comes to ordering food, this is also probably the place for you. You order everything from your phones and there's minimal interaction from the servers except dropping off your order. I enjoyed the vibe here, just keep in mind, it's Mill Ave. so depending on time and day of the week, it could be a bit loud and crowded.
