Sunshine and soft serve can't get much better. My Taiyaki was delicious and still crunchy even with the Ube filling, try the box, it's a very nice combo.Self ordering system is great if you are into that thing, pretty sure the staff will gladly take your order as well! Folks, this is as good as it gets, so get in here NOW!

The most perfect delicious treat after our meal! I've been wanting to come here for a while, but with it being in George Town I'd been avoiding it for a while. The place was pretty quaint but had a cute atmosphere and vibe. I love the ability to be able to sample flavors to help us make our decision. The workers were super kind and helpful in giving us recommendations. Upon our samples we decided on Thai tea, ube, and dole whip. Though every flavor we sampled was delicious, for the flavors the dole whip wasn't that great. It was pretty icy though I was just craving something refreshing. On the other hand the Thai tea was some of the best flavored soft serve I've ever had!! And the ube was quite good as well!!! Overall I really liked the place and also enjoy how they rotate their flavors seasonally giving them a super wide selection! I recommend you try them out when you see a seasonal flavor that catches your eye!

We were exploring Georgetown and saw this place. There were quite a lot of people that day probably because of the Georgetown sunday market. There weren't enough spots for people to sit. When we first ordered, it felt like a little bit unwelcomed by the lady who trying to take our order. She seems to have a bit of attitude or annoyed, but it's a long day so maybe that's why.I got rose matcha, and taiyaki with ube & vietnamese coffee ice cream. They gave you a very generous portion. I couldn't even finish it myself. I personally think its better for 2 people to share. The viet coffee flavor did cover the ube flavor, I could barely tasted the ube favor. The rose matcha was amazing and I would love to get it again.

Matcha Man is conveniently located just a few minutes away from the airport. The staff is friendly, and their ice cream is quite good. While we didn't enjoy the vegan pineapple scoop, the strawberry and matcha swirl was delightful. They also have cute fish cones, but since they contain eggs, we couldn't try them. The matcha was good, though a bit too sweet for me, as I prefer my matcha without any sugar.

ube soft serve was pretty good. average matcha soft serve. below average taiyaki. i like somi somi more.

A tad expensive, even for ice cream, but the ube soft serve itself was really smooth and earthy. The 2 free toppings can be skipped and I made the mistake of choosing fruity pebbles, which skewed the natural ube flavor. The space itself is really cool, feels like you can hang out there for a while. They sell pocky and some merch as well.

Ok, parking here is awful but worth the trouble. This tiny place is a fun spot to get soft serve and tea lattes. We ordered a matcha with rose which was terrific, with a rich rose flavor slightly sweet and the bitterness of the matcha was tamped down by the whole milk. Also ordered box-o-soft serve. Ube and Thai tea with some topics. Also very flavorful. Definitely a place to return to for more treats. Should we have had the soft serve in the taiyaki fish cone- yep...

Matcha Man is the third place I happen upon that serves ube soft serve. (What?!? Mind blown) Instead of getting the signature matcha, I forced myself to get the ube for a 3rd comparison. We ordered the taiyaki box to share, filled with ube ice cream. The taiyaki cone was filled with ube custard. For toppings, we were offered one each of Vienna wafer and Oreo (thanks!). The verdict:- The creaminess of the soft serve is the most on point compared to the icy Drip Tea and the very thick SomiSomi. - The ube flavor is comparable to SomiSomi but weaker than Drip Tea.- Theirs is the sweetest amongst the three. It took a few spoonfuls for this realization to kick in. After that, I couldn't continue. I tasted the sweetness more than I tasted the ube. (Note I didn't eat the Oreo or the Vienna wafer to keep my palette "clean". The ube custard in the taiyaki cone was a nice touch and tasted good. I honestly don't need it though.The taiyaki cone has a good crispy. No complaints.Their prices are the highest compared to the other two by about a dollar, which surprised me with a Georgetown address.

I had no intention of stopping by, but the smell of fresh taiyaki pulled me in, and there's always time for soft serve. Matcha Man is such a cute ice cream shop offering unique flavors, classic toppings, and perfectly fresh cooked taiyaki (the warmest, crispiest, fluffiest I've ever had). Service was fast even though the line piled up after my order, and the space itself has a cool hip and modern vibe. I kept it simple for my first time, but I cannot wait to return and try something new.

First time having Taiyaki and it was delicious!! The soft serve was packed with flavor and the consistency is exactly what you want. The taiyaki was crispy and doughy and it helped balance the sweetness of the soft serve.
