Matador Mexican Grill

I'm so glad to find this place close to where I live.Fish tacos, and shredded beef tacos... wow. I've been trying new things and each one of them tastes excellent. The ambience is very cute. Somebody takes a lot of pride in this place and it shows.The service couldn't be nicer

First of all, I have to stress this place is a solid four stars! My reason for giving it three stars today, I chose to dine in for the first time, big mistake!When food was ready as usual, it looked great and tasted as it normally does, but the staff decided to start mopping the opposite side of the dining area with their annoyingly overpowered scented Fabuloso! Part of enjoying a meal is allowing all the senses to tap in to what you're eating and register a tasty experience, but that lavender scented Fabuloso screwed up that experience for me today!Matador staff, Take it from me a person who has commercial cleaning experience, a bucket of hot water and a few drops of dish soap will go along way to keeping those floors clean and will

Carne asada fries portion is huge and really good. The place looks good after the remodel too

I have been eating here for about two years and it's always been great. Fair prices, delicious food, and generous portions. But today I got a California burrito that was 90% french fries. I sure hope this was a mistake and not their new way of doing business! $12 for a french fry burrito.

Best Mexican food in San Diego. Not nearly as busy as it should be. Service is fast and friendly. The burritos are unbelievable. Try a traditional carne asada, or something more interesting like the Bacon Jalapeño or the Diablo. This place is so good my wife gets mad when I come without her.

Matador Mexican Grill serves excellent breakfast burritos. Great breakfast, lunch & dinner. menu with fast service whether your dining in or prefer takeout. The dine in area has high top tables and regular tables for seating. Come hungry, I learned that one burrito will fill you up. They have a wide variety of salsa to go with your burrito. The habanero was my favorite.

Very nice hard shell shredded beef taco. Excellent parking and very clean. Great customer service. Big variety and easy on the wallet.

Horrible attitude! It was 11am and I was looking at menu and when I was ready to place order she tela me no breakfast "we stoped serving at 11am" and it's 11:03am Seriously?!?! "Cool put the pan he uses for breakfast away in sink!" Don't BS me, you were rude since we walked in, it's sad to see how your own race can treat you so different! I was talking to her in Spanish and she made a face, you are Mexican so why would I talk English?! Learn how to treat customers because you have no clue what customer service is!! Ended up leaving because she was not changing her mind in letting us order breakfast when the cook is right behind her and she could if asked, 3 minutes ?? Seriously

The Al pastor street tacos are 10/10 You get three for $9 which is pretty unheard of in San Diego. They're tiny but filling and full of flavor! If you're an Al pastor fan I highly recommend!
