Massis vs Arax, Arax vs Massis....A match up where the fan always wins. This place is great( as is Arax).Fresh Zaatar pitas (in three sizes!), regular and the outstanding thick egyptian ones, and... fresh 'baigaleh'-- the sesame seed fresh bread rings found in the Arab Quarter of Jerusalem, and throughout the Middle East.Excellent salads, cheese, grains, canned goods, fresh falafel, etc. Pavlov's dog must have trained there. I certainly get hungry just thinking of the store

Their food is amazing. It's perfect there. It did not take that long for them to make me a sandwich. Where is place does a little bit sketchy but overall it's perfect. I also love the feeling walking in there. It just feels like you're walking into a local business.

Thank you for the delicious boregs and Armenian coffee. A multi-generation owned local market. Many people had ordered ahead and were picking up their deli orders. Super kind staff. Thank you for the wonderful experience in Boston when we stopped in.

Spent a night in Watertown because it's a nice halfway point between Boston and Wellesley (where we were headed the following day before flying back from Logan).Being that this suburb next to Newton and Cambridge has one of the largest Armenian populations in the US, thought to stop by a market/bakery and learn a few things from the Medi world. Bought some mint, saffron (low grade, called osfor), and ras al hanout (for marinating lamb), and tried some honeyed 'biscuits', called nazouk. The zaatar looked so fresh...perfect little sidetrip to whet my appetite for an evening's indulgence at the Mediterranean inspired Oleana in a few hours' time.Nice experience.... lots to choose from. Many interesting items, that were it not for the fact that I brought only carry-on items, I would snatch up for experimentation in the kitchen in a heartbeat.PS They sell that fresh 'pizza', if you will---the lahmacun.... what Bourdain stuffs his face with in Turkey on NR...PPS NOTE ON RAS EL HANOUT: Watched Richard Blais cook often with this Moroccan spice. since purchasing it and cooking with it, I actually had truffles made with them by a chef at a wine and food pairing tasting at Etude in Napa Valley yesterday!!! Nice

The older lady at the check stand is very discourteous. But the younger lady realized that and she apologized for wasting my time in such a manner... The older lady is not customer service oriented. She is probably the owner and acting all conceded and arrogant.

The man who helped me at Massis Bakery was: great, helpful, cheerful & he actually listened. What a delight! One person, in a small market did made my day. The groceries I bought were wonderful!!
