Best Mexican food in Fountain Hills!We've been eating at Maskadores since they opened and it's the highlight of my day when I go. Maria is the sweetest and takes her customer service to the next level by remembering my regular order. The street tacos are my absolute favorite. Highly recommend.

I am about to unmask the lucha libre! I got the rolled tacos ( Taquitos ), I guess, cheese in the center with the Carne asada on top. Rice and beans, about 20 degrees warm, way out of code temperature wise. Then that also meant that all the food on the front line was not kept to health code. I ate 2 rolled tacos and half of the rice and beans....... the straight to the bathroom before I even left. Not a good sign. Sorry I will not be back.

Wow, everyone else must have had a much better experience than we did. We ordered the al pastor rolled taco plate and the fish taco plate. We had a fountain drink and a bottle of water as well. Our bill was a hair under $40 with a tip. Our meals wouldn't have been good at half that price. The rolled tacos had no filling (see picture) and less than 2 oz of meat. The pintos were tasteless too. The fish tacos were slightly better but certainly not worth the $3 up charge. This was a total disaster.

I've given Maskadores several tries.. every time the order in wrong. The staff is rude and will NOT re-make or refund your order. I believe the restaurant needs its traps cleaned because it always smells of sewer. Beans, rice and proteins sit in a hot table that doesn't work, your sides are guaranteed to be served at room temperature. I attached a photo below, of the pathetic quesadilla that costa 13/14$. Ps. I enjoy spicy food, their salsa bar.. GoodLuck! The three salsas they provide are way too spicy for literally anyone.

In the mood for Mexican food while in Fountain Hills, we found this highly rated spot on Yelp. Honestly, I'm not sure how it managed a 4.5 with over 300 reviews. It wasn't crowded on a Monday for lunch, which was nice. The set up is like a Chipotle so you order what you'd like and then choose your items as you walk down the line. The food was okay. I tried three sauces from a side cart to spice up my burrito bowl but they were all hot, even the one labeled "mild."The biggest disappointment was the lack of friendliness. For one person it could have been a language barrier, which I completely understand; but the other server was almost unfriendly, which felt uncomfortable.

Maria and her team serve the best Mexican food in all of fountain hills - I crave her potato rolled tacos almost everyday the best service food and people , 10/10 love them. Ambiance is so fun and radiant just like the flavors of every meal

If you are looking for good tacos this is not your place. Asada in a vat of fat. It's not fresh and overpriced

Delicious. I wish I could say that I've tried more here because there are so many options. But my GO TO is macho fries. Love loaded fries. You build you own bowls or tacos. One day I want to try the fish tacos cause other Yelp reviews mention them. I just can't get away from the Macho Fries. They own me Beer options as well. The jalapeño cream is a must though. Cost extra but worth it

We have been here many times in the past 6 years we've lived in FH - and has normally been good with little complaints. BUT last week we took a friend down and after receiving his plate of food - accidentally drop his entire meal. ( to his credit his plate was "floppy " and not very sturdy. Not only did they not replace his meal- but the male manage ( owner?) yelled at my friend, berated him And scolded him! It was a real scene with my friend apologizing profusely and still getting screamed at. He didn't deserve this kind of harassment and it was rude and mean to a long time customer. Needless to say- none of us will be back again. Bad bad business on their part, my friend left hungry and embarrassed. upon reading other reviews- this sounds like business as usual for Maskadores unfortunately.

I Really want to like this place as it's almost walking distance from my home but... Either the owner or the manager needs to learn how to "Cost" out a plate. The place is an assembly line Mexican food similar to "Hipotle".I ordered a chimichanga, picked my ingredients and noticed a very very small portion of protein (pork al pastor) added to the Chimichanga. when I got home, I dissected the chimichanga and there were literally only 15 pieces of the pork al Pastor each the size of a pea, maybe smaller. There was however plenty of fillers like rice, beans, lettuce, very inexpensive stuff to make it a good size chimichanga. $14 then a $3 tip so a $17 burrito dropped in the fryer with no chips and salsa included. At least "Hipotle" gives you a good/fair amount of protein "and" is about $ 4-5 less. Lastly the "Vibe" of the place is like the "Soup Nazi" from the show "---nfield" I asked for a couple of ramekins for their salsa bar and was sharply told "ONLY ONE". Oh well I guess I'll drive an extra 10 minutes and get value for my takeout when I feel like a chimichanga and get chips and salsa included.
