Marvelous Muffins

We got in here very late morning around 11:15am before heading out of town and driving back up to LA. The selection of what was left wasn't a whole lot but no big deal. What bothered me more than anything was that the muffins didn't look like anything to write home about. I ended up getting pink sprinkles doughnut and a croissant. The doughnut looked a little dry but my son really wanted it and I didn't have time to stop elsewhere. The croissant was really good and they warmed it up for me. They also gave me a small cup when I asked and didn't charge me extra, which was nice. If I end up in that area again, I'd get another croissant but that's about it.

Bought the chocolate chip and the lemon cream cheese. They are moist and so good. It was absolutely delicious. If your purchase is less than $10, you'll be charged 0.50¢ for using a credit card/debit card. There's free parking!

Came here for a quick breakfast prior to a trip to Cabrillo National Monument. What a cute neighborhood joint for breakfast pastries! I had the sprinkles donut which was delicious and so fluffy. My friend ordered the spinach and cheese croissant which the server heated up for us quickly on the spot, as well as the lemon poppy seed muffin. The muffins here are a great combination of crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, and very flavorful! Prices were very reasonable and service was friendly. Big bonus is easy parking as there is a small parking lot with a handful of dedicated spots for Marvelous Muffins customers. Come here if you're looking for a quick and delicious stop for breakfast!

Marvelous, yes, they are! The muffins are delectably delicious. We stopped in just after opening and there were only 4 varieties available that early. Not to worry - the pumpkin and the blueberry were both warm from the oven, perfectly spiced, and unforgettably tasty. I'd stop back by here anytime for a nice morning bit of YUM.

Cute shop with yummy donuts. Went there on a Sunday morning and picked up a couple for my kids. They threw a couple of donut holes in the bag which was a pleasant surprise.

SPOILER ALERT: ONE OF THE BEST APPLE FRITTERS IN THE U.S.We stopped by on Saturday, just before closing (12:30ish). There's ample street and lot parking with handicap accessible spaces.They took cash and cards.The eating area was clean and felt like a nice place for a drop in breakfast on a weekend.The server/cashier was very pleasant and there were several options still available, to pair with hot or cold beverages (See photos).I'm not a muffin guy, so I went for the donuts (It's my cheat day).THE APPLE FRITTER IS A TEN!This apple fritter was a cut above:- Perfect portion size for an adult- Drizzled with the traditional powdered sugar glaze, but not overly sweet- Cooked to perfection and lightly crisp along the exterior- Moist inside without being doughy- Cinnamon spread evenly throughout the dough without overpowering it- YOU CAN TASTE APPLES IN EVERY BITEThe fritter outperforms the 50 - 100 I've eaten over many years. Most fritters are partially burnt, doughy inside, kissed by an apple, and so hard outside they hurt your mouth.DONUT HOLES - HOLE IN ONE- Pillow soft- Melts in your mouth- Not too sweet- Very pop able!When I'm in San Diego and near this place, it's all about the Apple Fritter (Cheat Day or Not)!Enjoy!

Open early with delicious baked goodies and drinks. Customer service is great even at 6:00 a.m. Pricing is decent for fresh pastries. My favorite muffin is the mixed berry and go-to breakfast sandwiches with coffee.

Came here for a nice snack before lunch and boy, that was a very good decision. The place was a nice and cozy spot, and for the food these donuts were the best donuts I have ever eaten. The server was incredibly nice and even gave us free donut holes! The donut cinnamon rolls were so incredibly large, It was even bigger than my head. Absolutely would come here again, perhaps the best spot in San Diego, if not all of California, for donuts.

Just ok. Nothing special. The croissant sandwich was ok. The lady is very sweet who helped us.

food: 4.5/5, very good! i got the sausage, egg, and cheese bagel and it was a lot of food but very tasty. i also got the twisted glazed donut and that was delicious too.service: 5/5 no notes ambiance: hard to take into account, this is definitely a grab and go breakfast place
