Martha My Dear

Ooooh I love this little unassuming bar on Gallatin. Our good friend is a regular here, and I'm so glad to be in the know on this hidden gem. While Martha My Dear has some elements of a dive bar (moody lighting, vintage decor), it's actually quite clean and very inviting. The red booths are comfy, and the ambiance is just right - not too loud that you can't hear your friends speak, but not too quiet that you're listening to the conversation at the table next to you. Although they were busy on a Friday night, it wasn't packed to the brim like many of the other bars in East Nashville on weekends. We were able to get our drinks quickly, and the bartenders were very friendly! I ordered the Tipsy Jitters, which is their version of a White Russian. Our bartender recommended swapping the vodka for rum sometime, which I'll definitely do on my next visit. Martha also has a nice beer and wine selection, and their happy hour deals are great too. ($10 craft cocktails in East Nashville every day? Say less.)

This bar has always intrigued me, and I finally stopped by. It's got moody lighting, a great cocktail list, the bartenders were super friendly and although they don't serve full meals here, they have snacks to keep you satiated. This feels like a fun place to check out before going to a show in the area. Parking is free all around.

At first glance you'd think this was a dive bar. But I'd call it an elevated and clean dive bar with craft cocktails. Two of my favorite things combined into one. An old coworker of mine works here though he wasn't in tonight. Brendan and Alex were both great bartenders and gave me awesome recommendations for live music in the area. I had a blast thanks to them! Next time I'm in East Nashville I will definitely be back!

A modern meets 1920s prohibition bar vibe right off Gallatin Rd. Shelby was a phenomenal bartender and made us killer drinks! All cocktails are $10 during happy hour 5-7p. I had the Martyr Complex and highly recommend & their pour of the week Caipirinha, which was a delightful islandy Brazilian drink that wasn't too sweet but just sweet enough! There is one pool table and some games, def an intimate fun hang for couples or small friend groups!

Great happy hour spot! Bartenders were super friendly. Kind of a divey atmosphere but in a fun clean way. We came for happy hour on a Monday and it wasn't busy at all. We got some drinks off the cocktail menu but also had them make some other drinks which they were happy to do. I got the Besito which was super tasty and then I got an aperol Spritz. I would definitely be back! Only thing is they are very strict on happy hour, I ordered my second drink right before 7 but didn't end up getting the happy hour deal.

This place is a hidden gem! It's in a very unassuming building, but has almost a 60s speakeasy vibe to it. There's plenty of chairs and tables and some gorgeous velvet couches. Happy hour is 5-7pm and it makes craft cocktails $10. They have a good sized menu with a lot of ingredients I wasn't very familiar with so I asked for the bartenders help. He had me describe flavors I liked and made me something off the menu with pineapples and it was delicious & strong! All staff members were very friendly which isn't always the case in these cool hidden bars, so that was appreciated. Overall a very cool place, will definitely be back! Also there's a couple of parking spots right in front.

An excellent add right off the main drag in east Nashville. Martha My Dear has a cool dark retro vibe accompanied with some fantastic cocktails. I would love to see the cocktail list grow but the ones I've tried so far were excellent.

Olives were smooth and tangy. Good service with a soft opening, very excited to see how the joint evolves!

Atmosphere is great and great drinks!! Highly recommend this bar if you are in East Nashville looking for great service and cocktails.
