I sort of want to keep this place all to myself, as downtown feels sensory overload. I love the patio, it's off the Main Street and feels peaceful. My other two choices of French food locally are a place that is too formal for my taste. The other end, too trendy and claustrophobic. All places have their place. However, the missing middle is place that feel comfortable and glamorous. At its heart French cooking is just great technique and great ingredients with regional and seasonal variations. They have the usual classics- French onion soup, steak and frites , but also some things to keep it fresh. I had the duck entree and steak. I rarely feel inspired to return to a place. But I'm looking forward to treating myself again, and trying more of the menu.

I came in with a small group of friends. The menu had plenty of options. We all got the burrata which was my favorite appetizer. I also really liked my drinks. I got a demon which was a spicy tequila and blackberry syrup cocktail. The service was very fast and the staff were very patient and friendly with our questions. I would definitely come back to try the other things on the menu.

My friends and I came here for brunch and had a great time! The croque de madame and fries were pretty good and well seasoned. My friend got the shashuka and it was also tasty. I tried a bit and thought there could have been more sauce to dip the bread. We got the pastry basket and I enjoyed the croissants but could pass on the rest. Next time I probably will just order the croissant itself. Waitress was amazing and took her time explain everything for us.Tip: Free parking up to 3-4 hours. You can validate the parking ticket with the staff.

Hubby and I came for Brunch last Saturday. At 1:15 the room was a little sparsely populated, but sunny and filled with plants. As it was brunch we ordered Le Panier, yoghurt and fresh berries, smoked salmon with housemade potato chips and moules frites. May I just sat at the outset that everything was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon. It had a lovely smoky flavor, not overbearing. The salmon was buttery and displayed beautifully. The créme fraîche was scented with horseradish was was just perfection. Our service was very attentive.

Great location with street parking, a relatively large space with an amazing bar. Got seated right away on a weekday for dinner and the decor is old school classic done right. Spacious and open with giant windows. Started off with 6 escargots for $18 they had mushrooms as well and it was a perfect combo. For our main entrees we had the swordfish and the duck breast. The duck breast was cooked very well and seasoned nicely with seasoned vegetables. Swordfish looked like chicken and it was mushy texture but really tasty. Our waitress Tatum was top quality!

Really fun and lively new Brasserie in SOWA that opened May 2023. Lots of seating (170), perpetually full yet with plenty of turnover so seating for the two of us was easy. Elegant yet bustling, plenty of people watching, and vested waitstaff pin balling from table to table. We came around 9 for a light snack, I ordered the French onion soup which was perfect, definitely reminded me of eating at restaurants in Paris. Wife ordered the whipped cod spread with grilled baguette and pickled vegetables--too salty and not entirely edible. My glass of house Cote de Rhone was full bodied and her Sancerre was appropriately dry. Despite the over salted cod, I loved the experience overall and we will be back.

What an exciting new place in the south end with very tasty southern-French style fresh food! The design and ambiance are modern-traditional French style that immerse you in the middle of the Vieux-Port!They are still in soft-opening mode till mid May but I'm very excited to try more of the menu on my next visit! Escargot were delish and buttery, Carpaccio was Tuna based and so refreshing and the Bouillabaisse is rich in aroma and flavors!!!! Service was great for a soft opening! To be continue!!!
