Be really careful when you eat here !!!! Not only was i an amazing customer for 10+ years i recently found out they've been charging me extra money for every order!!!!!!! I called to explain it's really disappointing because I'm a great customer I over tip the delivery people and order lunch 3-4x a week: You're disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourselves, Karma sees everything, Just you wait; Karma is coming: Worst customer service in the city of San Diego !

So disappointed. As you walk up, the aroma from outside immediately have your mouth watering. Inside, basic counter service, and a very basic menu that really doesn't describe everything, but you could see a gentleman cooking the fantastic, smelling meat over hot coals-off to a great start!We ordered the soup of the day, a chicken vegetable, an order of baba ganoush, a small Greek salad, and a lamb wrap.The soup was decent and tasted homemade. The baba ganoush tasted over lemony and not very smoky. Greek salad was dressed well, but missing a couple key ingredients (to me, in a greek salad, like cucumbers). The lamb wrap was blah. Not very much meat, didn't taste like lamb (or even a lamb/beef mix), nor did it have any wood fired taste.Service was friendly and its open patio seating so there were LOTS of dogs. Not against dogs, i just dont like eating w animals, and that being the only option for seating.

Food and service are great!! The first time I went I ordered the shrimp bowl and it was good (I recommend a little less lemon juice..maybe add a lemon on the side instead?), & they gave me a bowl of soup and it was so delicious that's what I ordered the next time I went! This time I ordered the chicken bowl and I think it tastes the best. My only feedback would be to not skimp on the chicken. The soup was definitely lacking it and the bowl would have been 10x better if they doubled the chicken!

First time trying their food and their salmon bowl was absolutely flavorful. My friend recommended it and I'm glad I went with it. The hummus and pita was delicious but I can see myself ordering this salmon bowl again if ever I'm around the area. Service was great, Jackie assisted me with my order. The weather was pleasant so sitting outside was just perfect since I also had my dog with me and Jackie was very kind enough to give a bowl of water to my dog too.

Oh no, no dinner plans and wife got busy. Our go to spot for quick easy great tasting healthy food. Super hungry get the plate, skewer of fish/ or meat with a salad and rice. No so hungry go with a wrap. Love the Wahoo or Salmon. Good humus too.Nice outside casual dining too or easy to take home.

I somehow forgot to take a pic before I ate so I will do my best to describe the delectable meal I ate at Marketplace today. I got the salmon crispy bowl with herbed rice. This included an edible bowl made out of crispy lavash bread that was layered with herb rice, lettuce, shirazi salad, babaganoush (garlicky eggplant dip) and salmon. First of all, the salmon was cooked to perfection. So tender and flavorful. The babaganoush was delish, not to mention the herbed rice. It's fragrant long grain basmati rice cooked with a variety of fresh green herbs. The portions are super generous and the service is five star--especially for a place that has no tables inside! It's almost a self serve type of restaurant but the staff is super friendly and accommodating. We dined on the outdoor patio (the only place you can sit). There were plenty of tables with umbrellas which were great to shade the sun. Note you have to ask for a key if you need to use the restroom. Also, there are limited parking spaces so wear comfy shoes as you might have to walk a few blocks. Finally, there's a great liquor store in the same strip where you can get lotto tickets :)

In a tiny shopping center, parking might be a challenge other times but it's raining so we found a spot easily. IT'S WORTH IT, check it out!We got a chicken plate and sirloin plate to share with the kids and I wish I had gotten my own plate since I wanted more ;) plates come with rice, salad and a very yummy dressing.We might go back again on this trip!

Delicious food with friendly folks behind the counter. I love to order the salmon with herb rice and tzatziki sauce - so good!! It's my absolute favorite dish. Every time we're in town, I try to make it a point to eat here. You can't go wrong with any of the dishes here'. A few weeks ago, I was waiting for my food to be prepared and they gave me a small cup of soup while I waited for my food outside in their courtyard It was incredibly kind and super tasty soup!

Outstanding service and food!!! A must try when you are in La Jolla! The owner greeted us when we walked in and explained all the dishes. I had looked up the menu before our visit and chose a variety of items to try: artichoke, soups of the day, white rice with 3 skewers (chicken, shrimp and salmon). The owner gave us complimentary soups to try so we could taste both. We ordered the vegetable barley soup. The patio area is relaxing and casual. The owner kept checking on us and it made the whole experience perfect. My top 3 recommendations: salmon skewer, chicken curry soup, and artichoke. The flavors of the artichoke and dip are savory. Marketplace Grille creates phenomenal food and you will absolutely not be disappointed!!!
