Come here for the AMAZING corned beef breakfast sandwich and EXCEPTIONAL service, not the vibe ( unless you are looking for a no frills, mid-century style deli that looks like it might be closed). Seriously. We haven't had such kind and attentive service in a long time. Look for the giant CORNED BEEF lettering on the exterior wall.

Came to this place on the way to the airport right when they opened. I was craving a pastrami sandwich and my hotel was a block away from here. Looking at the reviews it seemed like a no brainer.Im not sure what on earth seattle residents think legit pastrami is, but this place wasnt it. Right when I saw the cook throw cold, pre-sliced pastrami onto the flat top I realized I made a mistake. I was expecting house made pastrami like what you can find all over new york. For a restaurant that has meats in the name I assumed they would make their meats in house and cut it to order while its still hot. The serving size was the only redeeming factor, but it was like dry pastrami that you can buy at any grocery store deli. If youve ever had legit, fresh pastrami that is cut to order then you will be extraordinarily disappointed with the meat quality here. Just a warning to have the correct expectations

This is the perfect stop for a quick and delicious lunch! Plenty of seating inside or can easily take to go. I ordered the Market House Grilled Reuben sandwich and it did not disappoint. So much pastrami is stuffed into this grilled sandwich with the perfect amount of thousand island dressing and hot horseradish on the side (so good!). The sandwich came with a side of potato salad and a pickle (a must!). Would definitely come back on my next trip to Seattle to try another!

Second time was just as great as the first. The Reuben is by far one of the best I have eaten. Warning...it can be a hot mess, but doesn't that contribute to the flavor and texture and wonderful experience? MHM makes sandwiches with love and passion! Keep up the great work!

Amazing service and amazing ruben sandwich! This place is hidden in the far corner near the freeway but I will always go out of my way to this place if I am in town. Authentic and tasty, Great balance in flavors. I highly recommend this local joint with so much history.

Wow, I was really impressed by this spot. I ordered the Reuben with fries and the sandwich itself was huge and delicious. I split it with my friend for lunch and it was perfect for the both of us! I would definitely come back, this spot stands out!

Very cool old school meat market. You pick up a paper menu and pencil, circle what you want, write your name, and hand it to them. I'd love to come back and try one of their breakfast sandwiches sometime.I've had both the Rueben Market House Grilled Reuben and C.P.R sandwiches. The Reuben is delicious. The CPR is good, but pretty dry. It is as advertised, just a lot of meat, no such or cheese.

Okay, before I start my review I've got to admit, I've never been there...but a coworker had lunch from Market House Meats and wasn't able to finish her sammy b/c she underestimated the size so she offered the other 1/2 of her corned beef sammy to me. I accepted. OH MY GOODNESS, easily one of the best corned beef sammy's I've ever had. Maybe it was the egg in it, the horseradish, the tender slices of corned beef, I dunno, but here we are over a month later and I'm still thinking about it. That being said I'll probably have to try that place in person in the very near future. The only con would be finding parking as it's kinda downtown, and parking is expensive, tight and limited, but if you don't mind walking it's not TOO far from South Lake Union, just a few blocks south of REI. I think that's the reason I haven't been there yet.But looking at the menu, I definitely have to try everything! My first impression being just 1/2 a corned beef sammy, I'm giving this place 5 stars on that alone.I'll follow up with an updated review once I'm able to visit this place in person.

Driving to my hotel on a business trip i did a double-take at this 60's era hand painted sign "Market House Corned Beef". Out loud I said "what the hell is that place!!" Promptly parked and marched in the pouring rain right into this gem of a place - it was a time warp with warm moist smell of smoked meats. Gathered my senses and ordered a 50/50 corned beef/pastrami on marbled rye bread. Within 4 minutes there it was along with scope of potato salad, sliced tomato/onion/lettuce/dill spears/a wicked horseradish sauce and a lunchbox cookie on the side. I could go on and on - It was fantastic. Bottom line: if you love a great corned beef/pastrami/Rueben/freshly sliced turkey sandwich you MUST check this place out!

Seattle go to place for real sandwich. Pastrami on marble rye today with a pickle (not a soggy pickle) and creamy potato salad. Horseradish and the fixings. This place is and has been the real deal. When I worked downtown - I would grab breakfast sandwiches or lunch here on a regular basis. They are still rocking the great meaty sandwiches. Owners / chefs are friendly and they are wicked fast. A must visit place to keep on your list.
