Mariscos La Reyna Del Sur

Perfect fish tacos! It came out nice and hot, with a crispy outside and soft inside. Good portion of fried fish, nice amount of sauce on top, and tortillas' texture was soft. I loved the ceviche too. So yummy. It's just a long process though to wait in line, order food at the truck, and wait for your food to be ready. A lot of other customers were getting mad, but I thought it was worth the wait in the end. There's a handful of standing tables under a canopy.

Paying customers BEWARE of the old bait & switch and additional charges when you order food or even water here! We were starving as we had not eaten all day. We ordered from the menu, and as I had the menu page open--I clearly indicated that I wanted the marlin tacos while pointing to the line where it said "tacos de marlin 3 for $12". Then we asked for water, because my friend was coughing--they brought bottled water: I thought it was weird but then figured they must have had an issue with their water. My friend paid with her card while I was I was in the restroom. When I got to the car she asked me if I had cash, to pay the tip because the server said they didn't do tips when paying with a card. I asked what was the bill so I could determine the tip, and when she showed me the bill, it was sticker shock!!! They charged $28 for the 3 tacos and my friend ordered one marlin taco at $8.70. So even if your ordered ONE marlin taco at the price of $8.70 that would be $26.10 for the three and not $28. They charged us $2 for each water. The food was good, but not worth the almost $80 food bill. When I went back in to get change for tip, I informed the server that what the did wasn't right at all. She responded that there were two different types of marlin tacos--I pointed out to her that I was looking at the menu in front of her and pointed to the ones as I was ordering. I also told her that in the State of California they are supposed to provide drinking water upon request , and not charge us. She condescendingly asked if I wanted my $2 back. I will never step foot in that place again and I do not recommend. I should have not tipped her at all--but against my better judgement I did. I've attached a photo of the bill. And they charge an additional $1 when paying with a card.

Fish tacos were okay. However, the tacos de camarón dorados are a joke. Save yourself the disappointment and money and don't order those tacos. Will not be returning or recommending.

I live in LA and if I want seafood I'm driving all the way back here because its simply that good! And Blanquita and the girls treated both me and my wife as if we have known each other for years. BS aside this is my new favorite seafood spot.Thank you ladies for a great meal!

Freakin' BOMB! I am a foodie and spend lots of time seeking out the best of the best. I think I've tried just about everything 'Mariscos' in San Diego. This place is no gimmicks, not glitz, no glamour, just GREAT EATIN! This has got to be the best mariscos place in San Diego, hands down.. I had two fish tacos & a tostada de camarón y pulpo (shrimp & octopus). A-FREAKING-MAZING!!! Not everyone can cook octopus right, but this place does a fabulous job! And their tacos are out of this world.I HIGHLY recommend this place, and I don't always say that...

Horrrrrible soggggy fish ordered a fish burrito and the tortilla was burnt and falling apart never again

This review is shrilly based on the cashiers attitude I should have listened to the reviews. I ordered two tostadas I try to pay and it's cash only still in 2022 cash only cool I'll go get cash. I come back and now I have to wait till she finished the food in her mouth. I've worked on plenty of food trucks and this service is ridiculous. Haven't even had my food and I already don't want to come here again.

This is the best sea food I've tasted here in San Diego I give them everything is delicious and super WELL served!!! Excellent food flavor and worth every penny!! Super rica comida y súper buen servicio te lo sirven súper BIEN REPORTADO!!!!

You don't come here for the service but just for the food. Every time I come here the cashier always has the worst attitude. I always tip because working in a food truck is not easy but man they all need an attitude adjustment. The only thing that has me coming back is the fish and asada tacos.

didn't have no drinks the kids would want ... there wasn't nothing for quesadillas .... the service was understandable but she couldn't understand our language and we respect that but if she was confused and didn't understand us she could've got another worker that understands English instead of doing it last minute
