I don't know why this place has a low rating. The tacos were bomb. We got the OG fish taco served hot and fresh, a huge carne asada taco. Make sure to get the mini taco instead of the regular taco. I made that mistake when I ordered the carne asada. And the Aguachille tostada with big pieces of shrimp. They had this orange salsa that went great with the fish tacos and a roasted red salsa for the carne asada. We ate beside the truck and it seemed like a locals favorite. Highly recommend this taco truck!

Their OG fish taco is highly recommended.Located at Texas Food and Liquor along Texas Street, has become one of my favorite taco trucks in the neighborhood, despite the abundance of food trucks in the area.I've explored various items on their menu, and I particularly recommend their Shrimp Aguachile and OG Fish Tacos. The Shrimp Aguachile, though slightly on the pricier side, guarantees a clean and fresh taste without being overly salty. The OG Fish Taco consistently delivers a flavorful, crispy experience, complemented by generous vegetables, toppings, and sauces that add texture and enhance the overall deliciousness of the crispy fish. For those looking to dine in, they offer a couple of tables. The freshness of their condiments and daily-prepared ingredients stands out. They are quite generous with toppings and add-ons, allowing diners to customize their orders.During busy hours, especially around noon, it's reasonable to expect a wait time, given the modest team running the food truck. Occasionally, they even offer free soup as a pleasant surprise. he staff is friendly, and despite the wait during peak hours, the overall experience at Mariscos La Reyna Del Sur 2 is worth a visit for taco enthusiasts.

Food Truck Series, Part 6This is the time of year when (I guess) we're supposed to be pondering which New Year's Resolutions we're going to pretend to be serious about beginning next month. While I haven't selected mine just yet, I'm considering resolving to visit more food trucks...just 'cuz. Seems realistic, right? I mean, why publicly declare that you're committing to doing something "unfun" like beginning a new gym membership when you can resolve to doing more of something you actually enjoy? We caught up with "La Reyna del Sur 2" on the corner of Meade Avenue and Texas Street in San Diego, California, and initially I was concerned that perhaps I had made a poor choice because when I arrived there was absolutely no one waiting to order or eating. However, in the time that it took me to study their menu and make my selections, an opposite reality occurred. The line grew steadily longer until we all began to run out of space while lingering about for our food (and I'd much rather encounter this challenge than the former one).Speaking of the menu, when my order arrived I realized that their definition of "mini tacos" was different from mine. While I enjoyed each of my Asada, Chicken, and Al Pastor "mini tacos", the portions were generous enough that I struggled a little bit to eat all of them (perhaps another good "problem" to have).Their selections are made to order, so try not to arrive "hangry" because you'll need to exercise a little patience while waiting for your order to be prepared.Seating and parking are both limited, but they accept both cash and cards. If you're up for a little food truck adventure, we found this one worth the time when you're in the University Heights neighborhood. And that's...Henry's Take.#foodtruckseries#sandiegofoodtrucks

I may have written the wrong place or location but THIS IS THE ONE. I am addicted to their fish burritos. Man, these are just the best ever. Quick service. Nice people inside. There's a nice tent to stand in while you wait, free soup! What else can you ask for? 10/10 this spot wow

Been here twice, for both visits i called in my order 30 minutes before arrival to avoid waiting since i was on a tight work schedule both times. For both phone orders i confirmed that i called the correct location and both times they didn't start my order til i arrived, found this very upsetting. What's the point of taking phone orders if they don't start making the order until i arrive ? Feels disingenuous, at least admit that you only accept in store orders. Had to wait 15-20 minutes upon arrival for both orders because these people are dishonest. The food was okay, nothing crazy, what i disliked most was that it was extremely greasy! 0/10 for customer service, 4/10 for food quality.

Amazing, fresh, authentic, *delicious* Mexican street food. Ordered birria and shrimp tacos; got birria and fried fish. It was delicious -- just not what I ordered. (The birria was succulent and enormously flavorful.) They could benefit from a cleaning rag and spray, applied to their outdoor tables -- the food was NOT something you could eat in the car (crazy juicy). Would get five stars for street food if they'd paid just a little more attention.

I usually come here for the mix tostadas and I came at a time when there was one other party here and they already had their food. We ordered a total of 3 items. They sometimes take a while to get an order out which I'm not bothered by, but this time, they failed to even make my order before I had to leave. They didn't give me a refund because they said they couldn't for whatever reason, they asked me to wait for them to make it which I couldn't. They didn't apologize for anything that happened. And I'm out $10+ because they couldn't make my food in a timely manner or give me a refund. Very very very poor customer service this time around.

These are maybe the best fish tacos I've had in San Diego. I've gotten them so many times, and they have no right to be this good. Ask for a bag for the spicy pickled onions, they are so spicy and so flavorful. The people who work here are also always so sweet and kind. There's usually a little bit of a wait, but that's because everything is cooked hot and fresh so I really can't complain!
